Let me start by saying Dr. Barraza is a wonderful surgeon and I would recommend him a thousand times! He truly cares about your well being and putting your best interest first. I saw Dr. Barraza a few years ago for my first breast lift consult(I was 23) but never moved forward with the procedure. Two years later and still unhappy, I decided to go back and just had my surgery a little over a month ago. The procedure was 100% worth it!! Procedure- I will start by saying I am 25 yrs old and had a Breast lift with implants(325cc each side). I had an idea of what I wanted the end results to look like and informed my surgeon I did not care to be huge, however, left the implants size and overall look in his hands. Sizes and results can look different to everyone but I trusted Dr. Barraza to choose the right fit for me, and he did just that! ...Your surgeon is there for a reason! I recommend letting them use their skills to do what fits you best! Now let me be honest about recovery- in the beginning it was HARD and for 2-3 weeks I had feelings of regret, however, I am now 7 weeks post-op and could not be happier that I went through with the procedure and I am very pleased with my results. TRUST your surgeon and give yourself time to heal before having an opinion on what they look like. He or she should have the professional skills to do what is right for you and your body type. Let me also say that it is VERY true and the more you get up and move the easier recovery will be. I started walking around the house a few hours after surgery.
Hi friends! I’ve wanted boobs for the better part of a decade now to feel more feminine and balance out my extremely pear shaped figure. During the consult, I liked the look of the 295cc sizers, but my doc convinced me to go a bit bigger, and so far I’m super glad I listened to him! End of day 1 post op and the pain is being well managed with Percocet. I definitely am bloating like crazy! My sides and ribs are super swollen and tender, so I hope that starts to feel better by tomorrow. My PS decided on 345cc HP. Will post progress pics in a couple of days! Updated on 18 Apr 2019: Woot! Made it to day 2 post op. Just experiencing a little soreness and stiffness, with mild bruising underneath both breasts (especially the left one). Got a little freaked out because I don’t see many breast aug pictures with bruising here and initially thought it was a hematoma! I had my post op appointment today and the nurse confirmed that it was just bruising and would fade within a few weeks. Phew! Feeling happy about my progress thus far. So happy to have joined this community. :) Updated on 20 Apr 2019: Today is post op day 4, and I feel fantastic! Was able to go shopping with my mom for three hours with no pain whatsoever. As you can see in the photos, they’ve dropped a bit compared to post op day 1. I’m really loving how they look already! Updated on 25 Apr 2019: Post op day 9, and feeling really amazing. They are definitely softening up a tad with the massages. My bruises are almost completely gone as well. Overall, extremely happy with how things are shaping (pun intended) up! Updated on 29 Apr 2019: These pics were taken 2 days ago. I couldn’t wait and put on my old bikini just to see the fit. It’s definitely tight but WOW I feel amazing! They’ve definitely dropped quite a bit, although my left one is a little bigger than the right one. :/ Still super happy with the way that they’re turning out! I really am tired of wearing this compression bra. Did anyone else start wearing other sports bras or bralettes around week 2?
I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Barraza and the entire Face and Body Center staff I have encountered! They’re all extremely professional and very helpful. Dr. Barraza takes plenty of time with his patients discussing procedures and explaining all options. I truly felt like he treated me as he would his own wife/daughter. Very thankful for him and his wonderful nurses!
I wish I could leave more stars than 5! Dr. Barraza was absolutely amazing, from the consult to the very end at my last follow up visit. His bedside manner was second to none! He addressed any and every need and want. I could not recommend him enough. If you have any thoughts of wanting plastic surgery, don’t think twice about going to see him. He is the best in Jackson, MS.
Dr. Barraza and his nurse Ashley are phenomenal and very humble. I didn’t feel as just another case to them. They made me feel very comfortable and have been there around the clock to answer my questions.
I had a great experience with my surgery, the physician and all of his staff! He is down to earth and very professional. He truly cares about the patients concerns and does his best to achieve the look the patient is after. He is somewhat conservative in the sense that he will not perform an unnecessary surgery on you if he did not think you'd be happy with the result-- which I found extremely comforting! Highly recommend Dr. Barraza!
Dr Barraza is the best. He did my breast reconstruction after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He would always listen to my concerns. He would explain everything in detail before any procedure. His nurses are great too!
Dr. Barraza performed a septorhinoplasty on me last week. My nose was crooked, overprojected, and I couldn't breathe. My bandages came off today and it looks amazing! I could not be happier! He was so professional, gave recommendations, answered questions, and eased my nerves. He is the best! My nose is perfect and for the first time, I have so much confidence!! Thanks Dr. Barraza! You rock!!
I had a great experience with Dr. Barraza and staff. I started out with small B's and have a very petite figure. During the consult, I told him that I wanted a good size but I didn't want huge, fake looking boobs. I got 325cc silicone gel implants, and they turned out absolutely perfect. They look natural and have a great look/feel. I couldn't be happier. Everyone from the check in to recovery nurse were fantastic. Recovery was easy- I was obviously sore but took the muscle relaxers for only a couple of days and then didn't feel like I needed them anymore. Overall, perfect experience. I would do it all over again without hesitation.
I have Fibrocystic Breast Disease and suffered with very lumpy, swollen, painful breast a lot. It got worse with age. Mine wasn't just tender. They were very very painful! I couldn't deal with the discomfort and pain any longer. It was def making my life miserable. I went to see a PS and had a consultation. He suggested me doing a Reduction and a Lift. I was a D cup but when they would swell and hurt they would go up to a DD cup. Uuuuuugh, I hated them! They hurt so bad. My PS said the procedure wouldn't get ride of Fibrocystic Breast Disease but would def make a difference in them and Omgosh, was he right! He made me a B cup. I am so glad I went ahead with it. I feel so much better and they do not hurt like they use to (not counting they look much better, too!) Wish I could have done it years earlier. So happy with my results!
Theransomgang, Thank you for submitting your question. Everyone heals at their own pace. Although you feel like a goalie, the best plan is the take your time getting back into the game. You are still in your recovery period. Continue to support your breasts, and care for your incisions following your surgeon's advice . I am sure in doing so, you will be happy with your outcome. Kindest regards,
