It has been about 10 days since a had a micro laser peel followed immediately by a profractional.( Micro laser peel was 20 and I had a profractional done at 350) Within 5 days I was completely (except for a bit of redness in spots) Recovery was so much easier than I thought! Anyways.. my skin feels fantastic! So smooth, and glowing! As far as the improvement of the acne scars, I don't really notice an improvement. I know I need to give it about 6 months to really see the full result, but I have to admit.... Was hoping to see at least some kind of improvement after I healed. My plastic surgeon wants to schedule another one(just on my checks where most of the scars are) in 6 weeks... Not sure why they want to get u to do another one 6 weeks after when u haven't been able to see the full results from the first one? Anyways... I really wanted to be able to just have one. My face was numbed but I still found it very painful! Being stuck in the house was hard, and missing work really affected my finances! To anyone wondering if they should try profractional. ..I say.. go for it! If u don't try it, you will always wonder what if? I know I would have! Having acne scars really sucks! Breaks your confidence so much! I'm upset I probably can't get away with just one, but in the long run... If it's gna help me gain more confidence and feel "pretty" it's worth it! Updated on 19 Feb 2016: Updated on 22 Feb 2016: Getting my second mlp/profactional on April 15th. Settings this time will be at 30 for the micro laser peel and 400 for the profractional. Nervous and excited at the same time! I know it's gna hurt! Going deeper means more pain this time around!
I would never recommend this plastic surgeon to anyone. She completely destroyed my body & my confidence. The contract that I signed and insurance paid for included modifications- which she refused to do. She wasted my time, having me come back to repeated “follow up” appts waiting for “everything to settle” then told me the time had lapsed under the contract for the modification to be covered. When I filed a complaint against her with the hospital, she told them I refused the modification- which was incredibly confusing, BECAUSE WHY WOULD I BE FILING THE COMPLAINT IF SHE WAS OFFERING!?! I received a breast reduction, where she removed more breast tissue from the side that was already larger- leaving me a full cup size bigger on that side. I asked to be a C-Cup and I am still a G; when asked post-op, she stated, “you don’t want to be that small.” I didn’t realized that that was HER choice; not mine. I will now have to pay another surgeon newly triple the cost, without any insurance coverage, to fix what she completely destroyed on my body. In addition to the huge discrepancy in size, I also have horrendous scarring, huge tags on the side of my breast, that stick out so far I cannot wear a bathing suit, and my nipples are uneven by more than an inch (height & width.) I also have constant nerve pain throughout my breast area- which I didn’t have prior to surgery- an issue I addressed with her & she continually stated that “I have pain management issues.” I don’t even know how she has a medical license- as I have since met others who have had their bodies destroyed by her as well, same procedure, after posting reviews (they searched me on social media.) She also refused to modify them as well, until attorneys were hired.
