Hello fellow BR girls - I just thought I would write a short review as this site has provided me with so much info (and is continuing to do so now that I'm living the dream as it were!) So, I'm 8 days post op - I had the op on monday Sept 15th, and the surgeon removed 1 lb from each side, taking me from a 32 F/G to what will hopefully be 32 C in the end. Surgery went well, 3.5 hours, very weird experience falling asleep in theatre and literally waking up what felt like the next second all done and dusted! Spent two nights in hospital, drains came out on the tuesday evening (uncomfortable but over in a flash) and been recovering at home since. Pain not too bad at all and now being managed just on painkillers (and a glass of wine in the evenings!). The most difficult thing so far has been mental adjustment. I know it sounds ridiculous and I absolutely don't regret it - but it's quite strange having lived with those puppies for 25 years, and now they have been replaced by these frankenstein looking (albeit tiny) monsters!! I only plucked up the courage to look properly today (been cleared to shower and was very nervous about getting them wet), and was properly horrified! BUT. I've been advised lots and lots that they will look awful to start with and that they will start looking better really quickly. I was worried that I've gone too small - but again I think they are just flat and square - and will seem a bit bigger when they regain their natural shape. Any advice on all the above welcome! I do feel really light though, so FABULOUS not having to wear a bra! (My surgeon differs from most in that she doesn't like her patients to wear a bra for a around two weeks post op. So now I just have gauze lightly covering everything. Weird! Any questions I'd be delighted to give advice and help - be lovely to hear from other ladies who are at similar stage to me post op as well. Will post a couple of pics when I can work out how to keep them off the photo stream (and therefore appearing randomly on my TV!) Hope this review helps someone - Jules X Updated on 24 Sep 2014: Right, hope these are helpful either for compare / contrast purposes or to give you an idea what you should expect! Don't know if I've just got over the shock, but they do seem slightly less horrific today. Far less pain than you'd imagine from the pictures... Updated on 26 Sep 2014: So having a bit of a dip today. My righty really hurts and there is a bit of extra redness, not sure if I've stretched too far or what, but it's a bit worrying. I had my first trip out yesterday which was great but think I pushed it a bit too far. Still on the paracetamol when lots of people seem to have only needed for a few days post surgery - but nurse keeps emphasising I should take them so it must be normal? Onwards and upwards! Updated on 30 Sep 2014: Starting to feel much better now - off the pain meds and getting back to normal. I have had an infection and so on a course of antibiotics - but apparently it's not too bad and nothing to worry about. Will include a couple of yukky pics for the purposes of those who wish to know what to expect! Wishing all you post ops best wishes and speedy healing X Updated on 30 Sep 2014: so yes - I have this! On the right leg, it was as if I'd had a local anaesthetic above the knee - feeling slowly returning but REALLY painful. Apparently it's from this pad that they use to earth you during surgery - was just wondering how common it is? Updated on 6 Oct 2014: 3 weeks today and I am almost back to normal. Moments of discomfort, especially first thing in the am and when doing lots of walking, but really am pretty much back to day to day life now, and it feels brilliant! Still a bit worried that I've gone almost too small, they don't quite fit a C cup (I know, never thought I'd be saying that!!), but PS assures me they will round out and drop and that I'm perfectly in proportion now. My scarring still looks very messy, still can't sleep on my sides :( and missing my swimming, but really those are my only gripes! Hope all you post op girls are going great guns and lots of support to those of you who are awaiting the big day. I promise you it will be be so worth it! X Updated on 29 Oct 2014: Hi ladies - just over 6 weeks and feeling great! So pleased I did this, I am back to normal exercise, been swimming and even playing rugby with the kids! A few stitches STILL coming out - but have taken to pulling them myself with tweezers - doesn't hurt and satisfying :) As you will see from photos, my scarring already starting to calm down and they . Any questions or help needed, please feel free to ask! All the best, L xx
I had my 25 yr old breast implants replaced, but was unhappy with the results after swelling had gone down , one of the implants wasn't positioned properly , i can feel the edge of the implant and it has a dent near the cleavage , i went back to my surgeon firstly she said to leave it alone but after many persistence phone calls she decided to do a scar tightening but the problem is still there after a year. I touch it every day and it is annoying me , the other breast is perfect , is this a common problem and should i l Just live with it . Thank-you.. Updated on 10 Sep 2014: Looking at other breast augmentation photos my breast are quite wide apart , i wanted a cleavage but didn't get one, my surgeon said a bra would push them together, what can be done to correct this problem Updated on 10 Sep 2014:
