After years of struggling with the consequences of biopolymers and undergoing four surgeries without satisfactory results, I arrived at Dr. Juan Carlos Torres’ office filled with fear, but also with the hope of finally finding a real solution. And that’s exactly what I found. From the very first moment, Dr. Torres offered me confidence, empathy, and a deep understanding of my case. His professionalism is admirable, but what moved me the most was his warmth and humanity. The surgery was a complete success. He was able to repair what other procedures could not. The relief I felt was immediate—physically and emotionally. But none of this would have been possible without the wonderful team that supports him. Every member of the medical, nursing, and administrative staff played a key role in my recovery. I felt cared for, understood, and valued every step of the way. Their kindness, constant attention, and dedication made a tremendous difference. Today, I can say I’ve regained my health, my shape, and most importantly, my peace of mind. I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Torres and to every person on his team. Together, they gave me back the freedom to live without fear.
Dr. Juan Carlos Torres is an amazing doctor and his staff is amazing as well(Angie). Dr. Torres saved my life. He was kind and caring and provided me with a whole new outlook on life. I spoke no Spanish at all and his staff was there for me every step of the way. From airport transportation, food, massages, pain management, and recovery. 10 out of 10 will do it again. He exceeded my expectations. Before Dr. Torres, I went to Dr. Gallerani in Miami and paid him 28k to butcher me because everyone said he was the best, but I found out the hard way how false that was. I was disfigured because of him and he didn't get all the silicone out, I suffered for two more years after my surgery. When I met with Dr. Torres and he saw me for the first time, the first thing he said was that he was going to help me and that the other doctor didn't have to leave me like this. Dr. Torres hugged me and I began to cry, he then told me that he was going to fix it and not to worry, and when I tell you that's exactly what he did. Dr. Torres got a hold of me in that surgery room and did his thang. When I tell you I look so dam good. I looked photoshopped. I don't know how he did it because Dr. Gallerani had left me so f*@ked up and with soo little fat and muscle to work with because he butchered and hacked all of it out. I thank G.O.D for Dr. Torres. I will be back later this year for a bbl.
I had a very pleasant experience with Dr Torres and his team! I felt that everything was very thorough and sanitary. Communication was pretty good before and during. Only thing I could make a comment on is I wish they sent every picture they took. I’m still waiting on pics that I’m pretty sure I won’t get. But I know that’s extra lol. He was 100% perfect at preforming his job and bed side manner Updated on 29 Jul 2022: About two days ago, the throbbing pain in my right thigh that was the main reason I rushed for surgery, came back. It now hurts again when standing or laying down. I have contacted Angie and waiting for the doctors response. But at this point, what can he do? Updated on 1 Aug 2022: While I still think that Torres was a great doctor, I do suggest sitting down and having a talk about your MRI prior to surgery. I think it should be a thorough discussion between you two. Because I believe I had Silicone up higher on my back and I’m not sure if that part was removed. So I wish we went over my MRI prior to surgery. And I also think you should go over scar placement before the surgery. My scar looks amazing. But I do wish I would have thought about where I usually wear my lingerie so that I could have him put the scar up higher. But Everyone wears their bottoms in a different place. So that should be something that is discussed prior to surgery. Also, if you look in the comments between me and another user, you will see my Amazon list link. You also see a comment with me explaining some of the things on the list and why they were so important to me. Updated on 1 Aug 2022: He says you can shower and wet scar after however long but I was told by several other girls that that was their biggest mistake, getting the scar wet before it had a chance to scab over. So now, a month post op, I still have not wet my scar. After he gave me permission to take tape off for good, I cleaned with alcohol on baby wipe. But didn’t wet it again. Take a poop afterwards is hard. You have to turn towards the wall and stand over the toilet. Make sure that after you wipe front to back, you also follow up by wiping from top of crack, to butt hole. Then get in the shower with the portable bidet to thoroughly was back there, without getting scar wet Updated on 1 Aug 2022: 10,700 originally quoted for the removal and reconstruction with lipo 360. No recovery house included (they did not like that, and I regret it myself). Once there I found out that I would be charged more for him having to remove silicone that migrated to my private area. So after negotiating, I got him to do 1450 for that. But he was trying to do 2000. 300- pain pump that I recommend you get I do HIGHLY recommend you ask your dr in America for Vicodin for after your pain pump. Because their pain meds are very different. So I would try their meds first if you want and then have Vicodin as a back up… I also recommend getting Zofran from your doctor here for nausea. The pump and pain pills both might make you nauseous. Some take pills after the pump, some don’t. I did because I don’t have a high pain tolerance. They have meds there but it’s just different. Idk how to explain it….. I also recommend having your doctor here prescribe 2-3 diflucan tablets so you can take during and after antibiotics to avoid a yeast infection. Updated on 1 Aug 2024: Back in pain and have a strong feeling that he didn’t remove much, if any, actual silicone. Probably just removed some fat and made me look good with a lift… talked to a surgery sister who had a mri before and then one a year later before going to another dr and saw that the silicone was still there in the same exact spots… so it makes sense why I’m still in a bunch of pain and you can still see the swelling in the same exact areas so I really don’t think he removed much of anything. And I still have all my other Asia syndrome related symptoms. Also I paid extra to remove it around my vagina and remove extra skin and he did a half way job
Hello ladies! I had surgery December 3, 2021 with Dr. Juan Carlos Torres in Baranquilla, Colombia . I had biopolymer removal and liposuction first and removal and replacement of implants with lift about 8 days later. I stayed for 21 days. I am writing this review to give you ladies what my experience was like and a few things I wish I knew prior to going. Hope this helps someone that is planning on getting this surgery or has recently had surgery. Prior to booking surgery I was in contact with Dr. Torres assistant a year prior and sent in pictures for pricing. I did a lot of research and wanted to make sure I was making the right decision. I finally booked surgery and wired over the required 2k deposit. A week before surgery I wired over the funds for the hotel and nurse which I stayed at the Crowne Plaza. Initially I booked for just 15 days due to reading reviews of ladies leaving earlier. I ended up staying 21 days so I would say if you can book for the whole time because even if you feel good you still want to be able to see the doctor a few times before leaving. Before arriving I completed my bloodwork, and EKG and I am so glad I did. I was unable to get my MRI because I waited to late and wish I would have gotten that prior as well because it was an exhausting day once I got there. If possible see your primary care doctor and let them know what your plans are and they should be able to write you an order and if you have insurance they will cover it. Dr. Torres did send over an order for everything but most labs I went to didn’t accept the order due to it being out of the country and not having the codes and his license number on it but every state is different. Once I arrived I went through customs and the driver was there to pick me up. He was very sweet and took me to all my appointments, massages, and every where I needed to go. He did have a smaller car which I was expecting maybe a van but again he was so so sweet. My Neice came in town and I was able to pay him to pick her up the next day. When I arrived he took me to get my MRI at a medical center where there were other patients waiting for various services. I had to wait a couple hours, then I went to meet with the doctor and anethesilogisgt and they actually moved my surgery day up to Thursday instead of Friday. Be sure to have you passport handy because they ask for it for everything you do. I was already informed before getting to Colombia that there was a convention and I would have to stay at a different hotel then the Crowne Plaza for the first night. The assistant sent me the name and I looked it up and I was ok with it. Once I arrived to the hotel later that evening around 6-7 after meeting with the doctor and the driver dropped me off I was told at the hotel that they didn’t have any rooms left and I would have to go to their sister property which I was not happy about so I booked a room at Hotel Movich and the driver came and picked me back up and took me there. Head up 98% of the people there do not speak English and it can be very difficult to communicate. I would suggest that you have a translator application and if you know anyone that speaks Spanish have them on speed dial. So I was frustrated that night because I was so tired and having to switch hotels at night was just a lot. However I went to the hotel checked in and got prepared for the next day. They did refund me for the one night since I refused to stay at the sister property. The next day I wasn’t supposed to have surgery until around 1pm and my niece came in that morning and we went straight to the medical center and she was to check in the Crowne Plaza after I went off to surgery. I was able to eat crackers and juice I believe before 6 am and nothing else prior to surgery. I was also given a Zantac to take the night before and the morning before surgery. I went in they doctor made the drawings, I was washed down with a solution, and given the IV. I was also unable to take my phone with me so when I woke up it was around 4am and the nurse was in the hospital with me in the room and I hadn’t spoken with anyone since 1pm. My family was very worried because my niece had only been told I was ok and she could come tot he hospital the next day but noone had actually spoken with me and my mom had dm’s the doctor to have someone call and confirm I was ok since the assistant had left her phone and wasn’t responding to any messages. Around 7am the nurse showed me a message from my niece on what’s app and I was able to text her I was ok. Around 9am my neice came to the hospital and was with me. When I woke up I felt sore, I had a catheter, my drains in, wound vac, and my faja on. I was able to eat and layed on my stomach in the hospital bed. The nurse had the translator app on her phone so I was able to communicate if I was in pain or needed something to drink. Around maybe 11-12 I got the catheter removed and got ready to go to the hotel. The driver picked us up and I layed on my stomach with pillows in the car and leaving out the hospital I was wheeled out in a wheelchair standing on my knees. When I arrived to the hotel it was very nice I had a room with 2 beds. I do wish I would have gotten the suite because the nurse is with you for 10 days I kept mines for 13 and it just gives you more space and it has a washer and dryer. I was also told that some people will get an Airbnb and have the nurse come there. The package wasn’t bad though I received 3 meals a day and the food was good. Beware they allow you to order room service on holidays and the weekends. Breakfast comes from the hotel everyday and the rest of the food they order out and send you a menu to choose from each day. The nurse also stays with you the whole time and spends the night. I was also charged a nightly fee for having my niece in the room I think it was 20 a day. I did speak with other ladies that just had the nurse come during the day but again it your preference. My nurse did everything she helped me get dressed, gave me my medication, got my food, washed my faja, and helped me get dressed. I will say from my experience they don’t provide a stipend for the nurses to eat so I just shared my food because they do give you a lot and at times I would just buy her food. However I had to ask her since I noticed her not eating the first day or so. I started getting my massages on Monday and I went every day unless it was a weekend or holiday. The massages are a little uncomfortable at first due to the drains but they made me feel better and I was able to walk better once getting them. I had my drains for about 7 days and the pain pump was removed during my second surgery. I had may second surgery about 8 days later and had to get blood work done before to make sure I was cleared for surgery. Just a heads up you are responsible for any additional blood work, medications, testings anything additional you may have to get. After my breast surgery I layed on my side for the duration of may stay. I was sore but again the pain in manageable and if you get a pain pump then you should feel more comfortable. After my nurse left I decided to switch hotels and had to pay the driver to pick me up from my new hotel and take me to get my massages. I got all of my stitches removed before leaving which was a little uncomfortable since I had cuts in between my legs and on my breasts. The day before leaving I got why Covid test they came to the hotel and the results were sent to the cooridnator. The driver picked me up and I headed to the airport. I was there about 2-3 hours early which there wasn’t a line and I was able to check in quicker and get the wheelchair service. I sat in the priority club Longue which was very comfortable and had food, drinks, and a close bathroom. Once may flight was ready to board one of the agents came and took me to the wheelchair line to get on the plane. I had started sitting on my butt a week before so I didn’t need anything on the plane to sit on. I was pretty comfortable and I flew American Airlines so they provided a meal on the plane. I did have a connecting flight and they were a few delays so be prepared to be in the airport and try to carry a small bag if possible. I carried a tote bag and just packed my essentials that I needed while flying. Once I arrived home I was exhausted the next day due to traveling. I still was un able to drive and walk long distances. Again everyone is different but if you have children be prepared to have some support still once you get home. After a few weeks being home and removing the tape after 10 days. I had a wound that opened in the middle of my incision inside the top of my butt check. I started to feel pain and wasn’t sure why but after opening up the area I saw it was pink and then it started to get bigger. Since my mom does wound care I immediately started to clean it and pack it with Dakins solution. I also uses Manuka honey to help with any infection and closing the wound. I also saw my primary care doctor for her to check on it. I had that wound for about a month and a half and right as it closed I got another wound which I still have. I started going to the wound clinic and they were able to make sure I was packing it correctly and measure it. I currently go there every 2 weeks and I clean and pack my wound twice a day. I have been in contact with the Doctors assistants and they believe I had a reaction to the sutures and stitches. The would clinic was able to take out several sutures and stitches that were sticking out. I also have had stitches come out of the incisions on my breast and scars underneath by butt cheeks. I was unaware that this is common and can happen months after surgery. I want anyone getting this surgery to be prepared and know what to do if this does happen to you. This surgery is very expensive and mentally and physically exhausting. You have to be strong and have support. I have had to spend money on wound supplies, copays for both my primary care doctor, and wound doctor. Also if you sent work from home I would suggest working something out with your job to be off for at least a month after surgery. Things I found useful on trip( Try not to overpack I didn’t use most of the stuff I brought) Lightweight comfy robe Long dresses Slippers Shower shoes Pain medication Tylenol PM Cash for tips singles and 5’s, 10’s T-shirts or pajama tops- you’ll have on faja so you won’t really wear pajama pants you can also buy extra fajas once you her there from the Faja store Loose compression shorts Socks Headbands Lysol urinal Pajamas loose Washing soap to wash Faja Tylenol PM Benadryl for itching Charger pack and or Long charger cord Comfy sandals a few pair Magnetic phone case or phone stand Portable dibet to use in shower Head pillow- I bought one off Amazon that has blanket inside and that was helpful. Got surgery june 2021 DRJUANCARLOSTORRES I want to say that this doctor saved me. I was like everyone else looking for the dr to remove my byopolymers hoping to find one in the states. Let me tell you all the doctors here just want your money. Like cmon how many reviews do you have to see how the drs here do bad jobs charged more than 15k and left them worst and now looking for someone else to fix them. For the work that the drs in the US are doing your better off going to the hospital as an emergency and they'll take it out of you for free. Anyways I never traveled out of US EVER but once I researched DR Juan Carlos Torres my spirit heart and soul said he's the one. I took the first appointment available and left alone. Yes I was nervous scared it's a normal human feeling going thru something like that. But thanks to him and god I'm good now recovering almost 80% healed Never felt better. Did it hurt? Yes ofcourse, even a paper cut hurts. My point is he's awesome. He doesn't babysit ALL the patients but atleast he cares for you doesn't brush you off. He knows 100% what he's doing.
Hello my sisters with this post I would like to express my gratitude to Dr Torres, Angie and staff. I would like to hopeful and pray fully encourage anyone that is having doubts on going to see this awesome doctor for silicone removal to please not hesitate and go see him as soon as possible. Let me also say he is the real deal believe the hype this man CAN & WILL HELP YOU! My situation was very severe and this man saved my life. I suffered from severe back pain, I was very close for this poison to travel to my lungs and brain. It is not a coincidence that you’ve come across this page. Believe me if I would of know what was in my body I would have taken action a long time ago. I came across this platform more than a year ago and since them I have personal met more than 5 girls that have had successful silicone removal. Each case is different. My advice : stay for the time he suggest, follow all his directions. This is a hardcore surgery and your recovery will take time. Trust the process. Keep in mind this is a medical surgery but he does immediate reconstructive surgery.
Ladies, please do not waste any time or money going to these other doctors with uncertainty. Go ahead and coordinate a date with Dr. Torres he's a once stop shop. His assistant Angie is the best and she helps you every step of the way. I'm here now, came on 2/18, surgery was 2/22 and now I'm healing and relaxing. Very satisfied with my results. This has been a long journey for me and it's finally OVER. Updated on 16 Mar 2021: Dr. Torres is a wonderful doctor and his work is awesome. When booking they will recommend you stay for 20 days. That is completely unnecessary! I left after 10 days and several other women have and healed successfully. Once the nurse leaves after 10 days there is no need to stay unless you are experiencing complications. I say this because they do not refund you for the unused days so book accordingly.
Hello, I'm here I had my surgery on the 4th of February and I traveled alone. The driver pick me up from the airport and stayed with me the entire time for all my appointments and did all the talking for myself. On the 1st day of arrival I was scheduled for blood work, EKG, and MRI day 2 I met with the doctor and the anesthesiologist which both doctors speak very little English, and Dr. Torres nurse/ coordinator translate everything she is very sweet by the way. So I didn't arrive three days early I arrive 2 days so that's why everything was done in two days I'm staying at the Crowne Plaza hotel which is very nice they give you a double bed because the 1st couple of days you are alone until the day of your surgery then you leave the hospital with your nurse which she is with you for the next 10days 24hours. Everyone cost may be different but for myself, I paid 7500 for the removal and 2200 for housing I did a wire transfer from my back of 1000 to book my date, and a week before I arrived I paid the full amount for housing things you will need to do in order to travel to this country you must have a Covid test done within 96 hours of traveling and please fill out there Clarence form before arriving at the airport or there will be a chance you will miss your flight. Now my surgery went well so far I didn't need the pain pump as of yet lol and this all the information so far. Updated on 12 Feb 2021: So I'm doing good I still have the drains in me hopefully tomorrow the doctor will take them out to me this the worst part of everything I get a massage twice a day the Coordinator Angie came out last weekend to my hotel to check on me and the Dr himself really cases as well now I did pay to stay with the package the doctor offered I wouldn't recommend that to anyone and the reasoning is you in the hotel room alone with the nurse for ten days the first three days it's just you then after the nurse 10days it's just you so in my opinion why not just pay for a recovery house when you can have a nurse the entire time of your stay so IG recoveryhousebarranquilla.but anyways although I paid to stay here for another week after the nurse leaves I'm asking permission to go home because whats the difference in taking care of myself here vs home. Also I did meet another one of Dr Torres dolls and she had silicone removed and ten days later he did a breast lift and tummy tuck and she only had to stay extra 5 more days so it's possibly just tell them everything you trying to have done Updated on 13 Feb 2021: Ladies you don't need alot of items I just recommend you pack long dresses, night growns, some slides, personal items, wash cloth and towels, and a bottom of Acetaminophen because that's what they used for pain so I had to buy it over here
Hi ladies, I must say, I have had the most wonderful stay and experience here in Columbia. I had surgery on December 2, 2020 with Dr. Juan Carlos Torres for silicone removal. I’m staying at his recovery house Crown Plaza until December 20, 2020.His staff and coordinator Angie have been exceptional and I would recommend them to anyone in need of this surgery. I’m still in the healing process but I look and feel great and I’m am very thankful to him and his team! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
i went to doctor juan carlos torres because a friend of mine recommended me with him i had my reconstruction procedure done in November 2019. i had my first surgery with Gallerani he removed some lots of my silicone but juan did a great reconstructive surgery on me. I had to face so many doctors that dint want to help me with my reconstructions and the ones that wanted to help dint know what they were doing. i flew to colombia before my procedure and the doctor made me feel so safe and secure he promise me that he will give me a great result and he did. I do not regret doing my surgery there. My anesthesiologist was just amazing they did the epidural anesthesia it wasn't painful at all i was a sleep when they did it. Recovery was great i stay in the hotel and they sent me to my room with more pain meds thru an iv. They provided me great meals for the days i was there and the massages and all that. i am very thankful to him for such a great job. gracias doctor juan carlos
