Dr Worthington and his staff are the absolute best. I have never had such a great experience in a dental office before. Dr Worthington did some cerec one at crowns for me that came out beautifully and feel great. His office is equipped with state of the art dental equipment, you know that you are definitely getting the best that dentistry has to offer here. If you redo them they will absolutely look better. I think the porcelain could look prettier and more lifelike. Working with a master ceramist like mine is essential to achieve a beautiful esthetic result. I'd be glad to do it for you if you would like.
Any time you can be more conservative and place a partial restoration its better. I make them all day on my Cerec Primescan. Ultimately it is up to the dentist treating you to make the final decision.
The tooth that they want to shave is a wisdom tooth. The correct thing to do would be to remove the wisdom too, graft the site and place an implant that will give you a molar size tooth. Retaining that tooth even with the adjustment will potentially compromise the health of the implant. Sometime our concerns about retaining or not touching natural teeth can compromise the success or the treatment!
