Met with Dr. Jacobs yesterday and it was a pleasant experience. I expressed my concerns about upper eyelid excess fat, abdominal excess fat, and axillary breast tissue. Dr. Jacobs, explained in very detailed what each procedure meant, what he thought are my problem areas, what areas he would not touch, what procedure is best for each problem area and how each procedure is done. I went in there sure that I wanted smartlipo (he does both smart and traditional lipo) but he advised me against it b/c traditional liposuction will give me the same results for a lesser price (important - not just after your money). He stated that he usually prefers smartlipo for arms and individuals with loser skin. He also stated that the difference between smart and traditional lipo is slim. I was very pleased with my consult and I look forward to his coordinators call to discuss prices. So far this is my second consultation, the first doctor did not convince me at all. I have another consultation with another doctor (that 2 of my friends had done their surgeries with) before I make a decision but I must say Dr. Jacobs was great. The only downside is that there aren't many reviews or pics about his work but he is in-deth knowledgeable about his stuff.
Red flag alert - both doctors asked me what was my occupation: like what that has to do with it? Huh. I wonder if they use this information to drive up prices? Like if I make more money you charge me more? I don't know but food for thought peopl.
