Is it possible for me to go from a 36G to 36C? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The insurance mandated amount is based off your body surface area is 2.19m square, corresponding to a reduction requirement of 895gms from each breast. That is a lot and you have to be careful that you won't be left too small. I use a breast implant of about that size of the resection amount to give the patient an idea.

Can my belly button be revised to be deeper after tummy tuck? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

yes you can "redo" a belly button, it depends on what the problem is (too long a stalk, not enough fat around the belly button, etc). I would think you could detach the skin from your muscles, and reattach it up a little higher so you aren't looking straight down into the base of the belly button, and it would have a "frown" configuration. This isn't routinely done but you can ask around - it takes a little creativity and I would just say "do you have a confident solution for this."

Aged Tummy Tuck Gives Up? Do I need another tuck? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

yes, you just need another tuck. It would be an opportunity to lower your scar and you might get by with a mini tuck where your umbilical skin is left alone, much easier recovery

Is a tummy tuck /muscle repair visible through a CT scan?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I don't think it would be apparent on a CT scan, although you have a surgical clips that are visible. As a general rule I wouldn't hide your medical history from your physician. It may be relevant and I would be surprised if you received any judgement at all

Mini or short scar TT, what would be the best option for flat stomach & smaller waist? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You want a standard abdominoplasty to address any diastasis and loose skin above your bellybutton. The scar usually runs from hip to hip- it's what is needed for the best contour. These "mini" tucks mean just tightening loose skin above your pubic area, not addressing the upper abdomen or muscles

Is it okay to have a tummy tuck after a breast reconstruction where tissue expanders and implants were used?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

No there's no problem with TT after breast recon. Just make sure there are no issues with the implants because the belly skin CAN be used to reconstruct the breasts instead of implants. Once you have the TT, that door is closed.

Need tummy tuck to address asymmetry - 240lb, BMI 36 (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Congrats on the weight loss! No, a regular TT won't address those rolls. I don't even think a flour de lis will. You wounld need a separate excision along your upper back which could be incorporated into a brachioplasty (see extended brachioplasty).

Intra abdominal pressure and abdominoplasty?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The diastasis happens when your core muscles are stretched by weight gain (visceral fat) and or pregnancy. Afterwards, the diastasis will remain stretched out to some degree depending on your tissue elasticity and risk factors like smoking. Sewing your rectus muscles together during an abdominoplasty does indeed increase your intra-abdominal pressure but to a reasonable degree. If you have a lot of visceral fat still, then the pressure can be too high and you risk the diastasis repair coming apart.

Can a tummy tuck be performed without muscle repair?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

No a TT does not require plication. Skipping it makes the surgery much less painful. If you do a sit up or straight leg raise and you're not bulging then maybe you don't need it. It should be an intraoperative decision, and helps reduce your profile from the side view. Drains happen irrespective of the muscle work.

Can I get a tummy tuck with a BMI of 42 (male)?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The surgery gets a little risky with a BMI over 37 in terms of blood clot risk and wound complications, and the results aren't as good with BMI over 30. Think of a tummy tuck as a good operation for extra skin, not extra fat. With a BMI of 42 you're more of a safety risk so I would get you to a weight loss provider with a goal weight to shoot fore.

Best Decision I Made for Myself & my Confidence!!

For upwards of 15 years, I've dreamt of a medical reduction. 10 years into adulthood and Dr. McCue and his team were the first to take my needs and questions seriously. Seamless process from start to finish! So much validation in my words, feelings and wants. Dr. McCue and his team were knowledgeable and supportive the entire time. He listened to my needs and wants around size and reason and validated it. Surgery it self was as painless and it could have been and the aftercare support was amazing. My personal recovery time was about 6 weeks and I was able to fully return to work and continue life as it was prior. My size went from a 38G to a 38C. Couldn't be happier and more confident. People look at me for me and are able to make eye contact with ME, not my chest. I can see my toes again, buy almost 2 sizes smaller shirts and buy Bikini tops that aren't 4x!!! Endless love and gratitude for his entire team. This was the best choice I have ever made in my entire life, hands down. Do it! Do it for yourself! As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.

Could Not Be Happier! My scars are all so incredibly fine and straight!

I was recommended to Dr. McCue by my bariatric team as well as my primary care physician for a tummy tuck after 160 pound weight loss and I could not have been happier with the recommendation! Dr. McCue and his team are absolutely incredible! My first appointment was scheduled so easily and quickly for a first time consult. He clearly explained his recommendations and why he made them and also offered alternative options. I ultimately went with his recommendation of an FDL extended tummy tuck and and am so glad I did! Dr. McCue was able to remove 6 pounds of excess skin from my abdominal area! I am healing so quickly and the incisions are so precise! I was expecting pretty significant scars, very dark and jagged and I got the opposite! My scars are all so incredibly fine and straight! He is so patient with all of my questions and always makes sure everything is answered and gives straight forward responses. His assistant, Rebecca, is one of the best I’ve had! She is so sweet and easy to talk to and helps with additional questions and explanations! My whole experience from start to now (1 month post op) has been nothing but amazing and I cannot recommend this team enough. I will definitely be going back to them when I am ready for my next procedure! The care for their clients is so incredible, you couldn’t ask for more. (Review500)

Breast Reconstruction

He was instrumental in me finding my beautiful again

I was diagnosed with breast cancer January 29, 2022. My cancer surgeon referred me to Dr. McCue. Our first visit was wonderful. I felt relief. I felt informed and very educated. He was directive where it mattered and funny where it was needed. His professional demeanor was impeccable! His bedside manner was supportive and understanding. I don't care for doctors at all, but I would trust Dr. McCue with everything. His advice was specific to my health journey. Not at all from the brick and mortar position. He was real. As real as they get in my book (and I work for lawyers, so trust me). This doctor loves his job. He wants his clients to love their results. I completed a double mastectomy March 8, 2022. Dr. McCue was instrumental in this journey. He replaced my breast tissue with expanders. Then my next journey began--healing and waiting for my breast implants. He walked me through step by step what this would look like. He was compassionate. But so smart, where you need your doctor to be. Dr. McCue is a born leader. His staff was responsive to my needs, my phone calls, my emails, my inquiries. I intend to maintain this professional relationship with he and his staff, and I would highly recommend Dr. Mccue to anyone who's previous experiences with doctors was less than admirable. Then when I finally reached the point of scheduling the breast implants to be put in, Dr. McCue and his staff were just as elated as I was! He knew how much I was ready to close this chapter in my life. And I am forever grateful for he and his staff. Purely for comparison sake, Dr. McCue was actually the second doctor I had visited for a consult. What I'm saying is... do your homework. I don't regret one day that I chose to go see Dr. McCue. I promise you too... you won't regret it. While I was sad to lose a part of myself, I am so so happy with my end results! And I know that Dr. McCue was responsible for that. He was definitely instrumental in me finding my beautiful again. Thank you, Dr. McCue. My core all around feels stronger and I feel like myself again

I had a very severe diastasis recti. Dr. McCue actually made me feel HEARD about the discomfort and the actual need of the repairing procedure. It included lipo and a tummy tuck and I couldn’t be more happy. My core all around feels stronger and I feel like myself again. Exactly how I see myself. I was also well educated by him and his nurse on what to expect every step of the way. I did not feel afraid. It really was a great experience and I have been recommending him to others as well as simply stating how pleased I am.

Dr. McCue and his staff are amazing. Updated on 23 Aug 2022: The bikini picture is just over 4 months post-op................... I look and feel amazing. Scar is thin and easily hidden. So happy with my new body! Plastic Surgery Excellence

Dr McCue did a TT and Breast lift with no implant for me a month ago. He did a phenomenal job. His technique is great and he is conscious of scarring. I was worried about complications, getting a clot and he was able to reassure me…and no clots or complications. The level of experience is truly evident in his technique. He was a great choice #plasticsurgeryexcellence.
