I met doctor John a few years ago when I wanted to do my Orthodontic treatment will stop my teeth aren't that bad but I do have some gaps and as a teacher I did not want to wear traditional braces. Doctor John is very knowledgeable and helpful along the way will stop I highly recommend him.

I’m in my early 50s and wanted to give myself a birthday present. So I decided to invest in a new smile. I’ve always had smaller teeth, with crowding. I’m unhappy with the color as well. I’ve tried whitening but my teeth have a permanent grey color to it. I found Dr John after a personal referral from a work colleague. I have already attended my first consultation and was very impressed. He showed me all the before/after cases he has done. I couldn’t be more excited. I will share my journey with photos on here. The cost isn’t something to sneeze at... it’s quite an investment but one I feel I’m worth making it for. Each veneer is about $1800 and at this stage I think I’m going to go with the 8 front veneers. My next step will be to view my virtual smile design- I’ll share that too once I have it. I absolutely cannot emphasise how awesome Invisalign is. I was going to get traditional braces but because I work in retail I felt self conscious about metal mouth. The product is clear and you can remove it for special occassions. They are tight fitting at the start with some discomfort but I got used to that and almost like that feeling. I went to freedom dental who are a black diamond provider - they have done a lot and know their stuff. They have main dentist overlooking treatment and doing the treatment plan and his team change the seekly Aligners. I got to see my clincheck. I'm half way through treatment (tray 15 out of 30). Updated on 7 Oct 2020: I decided on doing Invisalign after many years of indecision. My teeth are quite straight but I have a narrow "shark" bite. I considered dental veneers but I preferred a less invasive option to begin with. Like with any cosmetic procedure (I've done breast reduction before) I like to do my research about who and where to go. I can honestly say I found Dr John to be so helpful in answering all (and I mean all) of my questions. I really enjoyed seeing my before and after "digital" design before accepting the treatment.  Dr John is also quite lovely manner, but he knows his stuff. I believe he has done thousands of cases which is important. Invisalign take a while to get used too... it's quite tight on your teeth and somewhat painful for a few days (no pain, no gain hey). But honestly it's so convenient - being relatively discreet and also I was able to remove when I wanted.  I'll share photos once I'm complete but I already see great results.  I highly recommend Invisalign and Dr John if you are in Melbourne.
