I chipped the right corner of my front tooth. My dentist put dental bonding over the chip but over time it has started to wear and stain. I'm concerned with the staining as it's on my front tooth. I'm wondering if it's possible to get a porcelain veneer put on? My tooth has a vertical crack down the middle from the tip of the tooth to the base but it's not noticeable and hasn't caused any problems. My dentist recommended a crown but I want to keep as much of my tooth as possible

Can I get porcelain veneers on a tooth with dental bonding?

Bonding will stain and break away over time. May be&nbsp;less money now, but more in the long run. Porcelain veneers are your best bet. Good Luck!

I've had braces for two years and I got my braces taken off about a year ago. I have a permanent wire at the back of my front teeth and I have noticed a small black triangle between my two front teeth and the gums. How can I fix this? I think it may have been caused by flossing and brushing.

At the very least replacing the two front teeth will make it easier to match the color. Also, whiten your teeth again if you want to be sure you are choosing a color that will match well.&nbsp;

At 18, I broke my two front teeth in an accident. An awful crown was placed on one and a composite filling on the other. I have had rc retreat on the crowned one. I will get a new crown and a veneer on top 2. Should I get veneers on either 2 or 4 healthy adjacent teeth on top? I just started whitening. Whitening effects are not shown in picture. I also grind very bad. Beauty vs. Health? What are your thoughts?

Veneers are a good option in most cases&nbsp;for not only straightening teeth, but whitening as well. Function is important as well as esthetics.&nbsp;

I was told that I have a minor cross bit and that i order to get my teeth straighten I would have to get jaw surgery and braces I’m 27 years old and I don’t want to go the braces route and especially not wanting to go through jaw surgery . I was wondering if there are other options for me or will I just have to live with my crooked smile ?

&nbsp;In my opinion having both top front teeth veneered would be a good&nbsp;option.&nbsp;It is&nbsp;easier to match two front teeth rather than one.&nbsp;Also, I would whiten your teeth first. Porcelain does not whiten.

One of the tooth is pretty crooked and so if you look from the side, you can really tell. Can I get a veneer to fix this? or should I get two for both of the top teeth for symmetry? No comment on the bottom teeth- I don't plan on fixing them at the moment. Just my top two teeth for now. Thanks!

Hi,
&nbsp; I would say the ortho&nbsp;retainers are custom made&nbsp;meant to hold your teeth in their proper alignment and usually fit&nbsp;very snug.. Placing the gel in them may&nbsp;cause the gel to squish out onto your gum tissue&nbsp;which may cause irritation,&nbsp;and discomfort. Bleach trays are made of a softer material enabling the bleach to stay in the tray and if loaded properly will stay only on the teeth.&nbsp;

I have clear retainers that my orthodontist gave me &amp; I was wondering if I could use these to help me whiten my teeth with the whitening gel and UV light or would it do harm to the retainers ?

Can I use my clear retainers as my whitening tray with the UV light or would it harm my retainers?
