Hi, I've always wanted a breast reduction during my adult life! I never started to get breasts until I was 16 years old and from then on they grew and grew and grew, I was a UK 36dd by the time I was 17. It was fun at first and I loved them but years of yoyo dieting has taken its toll! I'm not a "perfect" weight and will probably never meet the criteria for NHS reduction, nor could I afford UK prices so I looked further afield and did my research. I found a marvellous PS in Prague, Czech Republic who was willing to help me, Dr Jitka Vrtiskova, we had a Skype consultation and she examined my pictures. I decided she would be my PS so I booked up and flew to Prague last week, I have to remain in Prague for 10 nights following surgery. My surgery went ahead once I had passed all the pre op tests, bloods, ECG, Mammogram and GP medical. The pre op tests were what I was more nervous about because there would be no surgery if I failed any of those!! Anyway I had my surgery and I feel fab, I'm 7 days post op now & felt so well I've even managed to do a bit of sightseeing over the last couple of days!!
Hi All, My name is Tracy and I've finally booked a TT for the 4th of March!! I must say I'm really excited but also very nervous too. This sight has been a god sent for this past few week and has given me the strength to finally book!! I wish I could say that my husband was totally supportive but unfortunately not :( Although he has finally given in to me having the TT he doesn't want to hear about it. This is difficult as I'm so excited I just want to discuss things! Haven't really told anyone really except my Brother oldest son and a close friend. I find people can be so jealous and nasty and I cant handle negative criticism. That's why I'm on here with you lovely bunch of ladies. The support you've offered to each other is fantastic and the results from everyones surgery is fab too. I really cant wait to have the TT done now as really obsessed lol. Hopefully get to chat with a few of you lovely ladies on here soon. So on to the TT as I'm babbling on here ;) I finally booked the flights to Prague on the 3rd of March and will have my consultation on the 4th and the surgery. Can anyone give me any advice on what are the essentials i need to take please. gonna be staying in Prague for 9 days and gonna be without my little ones so much :( Updated on 4 Feb 2014: Ok So I've booked an Appointment to see my GP on 14th of Feb to get my bloods tested and see if she can provide me with pain relief and dressings to take with me to Prague. I'm really, really excited and am on this site ALWAYS!! lol I find it so helpfull and love seeing everyones personal journeys. I know that it will be me soon and that makes me happy :) Will try to up load some before pics now. P.S dont laugh x Updated on 4 Feb 2014: Updated on 4 Feb 2014: Updated on 4 Feb 2014: Updated on 7 Feb 2014: Well today has been a better day I've managed to do a full workout class, a ten mile charity bike ride, 2 and a half mile walk and hopefully a zumba class later too :) Headaches are still there a bit but not enough to have stopped me exercising! :) Is it true that the fitter you are the better ur recovery?? I'm sure I've heard this?! Any ideas guys? if so I'm on a mission to get my fitness up as much as I possibly can before the big day :) Kids are all hyper today proper bouncing of the walls! Hope they're a lot calmer after the surgery! Updated on 16 Feb 2014: Well we're getting closer to the big day, not feeling much apart from still suffering with constant headaches!! Not been able to do much fitness with the headaches so feeling sluggish too :( Went to the GP's two days ago and was prescribed antibiotics and pain killers, she also is doing all the blood tests ready. Wants to make sure I'm tip top for the operation. Hoping I'm back to 100% in time for the operation. Feeling really down at the moment with the headaches :( never felt this ill ever!!! Updated on 23 Feb 2014: OMG how fast is time flying by?! A week tomorrow I will be flying out to Prague!! So excited its unbelievably :) Well been geting a few bits and bobs ready but mainly chilling with my babies. It's half term now so gonna make the most of my time with them now before I'm incapacitated for a while. Gonna be hard not being able to pick them up for a while, I LOVE my cwtches :) Glad to say that I'm finally recovered from the aweful virus, my god that was the worse I've ever had!! Counting down the days, hours, mins ans seconds now :) Hope everyone is well, sending healing hugs to all the girlies recovering :) Updated on 2 Mar 2014: Well tomorrow I board a plane ready to start my Journey to the flat side :) Had a argument with my husband yesterday which put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. He doesn't want me to have the surgery and want me to cancel it!! :( It's so hard knowing he's not supporting me, has made me doubt myself lots but I'm determined to do this for me!! Many thoughts went through my head including whether I should be doing it, I have my beautiful kids, family and friends. So do I really need this?! I hate having doubts! Feeling a bit better today but got lots of last minute preps to finish. Sorting the little babies is the worse, getting emotional packing their stuff :( Off soon to do some food shopping and a few little gifts for the guys who are helping me out :) Without them i wouldn't be doing this. Ok so my flight leaves at 3.20pm tomorrow and I arrive 5pm in Prague where I'll be picked up and taken to my hotel. I'll be picked up at 8am the next morning and taken to the hospital ready for surgery :) So excited :) How many of you girls are having their operation on the 4th?? Love to chat to some of you, hopefully it will help get me through the recovery :) To all of you that have had your operations or are due may I wish you happy healing and the best of luck with your journey :) Updated on 8 Mar 2014: Hello girlies, sorry not been on here. So it's day. 5 and I'm now in the hotel recovering. The first two days were rough !! Had my drains out yesterday late afternoon , they didn't hurt coming out but the spray the nurse sprayed on after stung like mad !! Relieved to have them out I can tell you !! Not a fan of this cg either, not nice trying to sleep in it and sleeping while almost upright is also a challenge. How long before I can attempt to lay on my side?? Anyone?? Thinking that might be easier. Had an emotional day yesterday, missing my little babies so much it's unreal :( but I have spoke to them via skype. Go back to the hospital on Monday to have a check up. Fingers crossed all is well. Trying my best to stay either laying down or sitting as I really don't want any complications. Ok i will update more soon girlies. And when I get a chance to take pics I will post them too :) Updated on 10 Mar 2014: Ok do I went to see the consultant today but my one wasn't there. Had another one who don't speak English but a nurse was there to translate. They finally took off all the bandages and padding!! What a huge relief :) doc said I was healing well. I have some swelling down below the scar but was reassured that this was normal. Phew was really worried it was a serenoma! Was told that I could go and have a shower :) best news I've had, I week without a shower and I stunk!! Even after the wash down with the flannels ! The nurse showed my husband how the re do the dressings. Fair play he's been great dispute the initial kicking and screaming before coming ! All cwtched up after my shower and ready to rest in bed for the night. The doc said I could not walk at all for the next 8 days! I'm really disappointed as I really want fresh air, being stuck confined with the hotel room is tough going! Were any of you lovely ladies told the same?? Ok so I got some post op picture to post but I'm really swollen in them :( what you think girlies?? Sending healing hugs to all the girlies recovering. :) Updated on 10 Mar 2014: Really swollen, think left side is more swollen :( Updated on 12 Mar 2014: Well saw my ps yesterday and she said I am healing well :) that's the kind of news I like to here :) told me to take a short walk and get some fresh air. This was music to my ears I can tell you! Managed to go to Prague old town square and it was beautiful there. So glad I went. Manage to have some lunch but quickly got tired :( had to come back to the hotel and rest for most the day after that. Woke up this morning itching where my garment was. Horrible feeling when you can't scratch away! Took a shower and feel a bit me human, even that make me tired though. Gonna attempt to go to Charles bridge today and sit there for a while and soak up some rays. Need some sun in my life :) Prague is such a lovely place. Not gonna push myself gonna rest as much as possible to help the healing progress. Ok so I will add my pictures now to try see if there is any difference. Let me know what you think guys. Be kind though :) have a wonderful day. :) Updated on 20 Mar 2014: Well it's been an emotional roller coaster of a ride this past 2 weeks. But apart from the swelling I'm pretty happy with my results. Been making sure I've done minimal moving about to be honest, so scared of getting infections or serenoma! My husband, kids and close friends have been great, helping out with school runs and everyday chores. Without them I would have been stuffed. Ok so the pain has got better but the muscle tightening still hurts though. :( still find sleeping on my back aweful, so want to be able to sleep on my side. The cg is annoying me too, can't wait to switch over to spanx. When did you guys change over?? I've been told after 6-8 week but if kept on longer the better the results!? Anyway walking better but still need to straighten up more. Having my stitches out tomorrow , slightly nervous but also excited. :) husband changed my dressing earlier and managed to take a pic of my scar, I put it up for you all to see. Let me know what you think girls. Be good to know what you think :) will post some more pics soon. happy healing to you all :) x Updated on 21 Mar 2014: So today I have my stitches taken out, hope it doesnt huts to much!! the bruising on my sides have gone down lots thankfully. Only problem is that they are very hard to touch, is this normal?? I read somewhere that people have massages to help, does this work? Not sure anyone can touch them yet as its still a little painful! Any advice would be gratefully received :) Thanks Updated on 21 Mar 2014: Well went to have my stitches removed today, have to say it was ok. Had my best friend in with me holding my hand :) nurse did have a problem taking one stitch out as the skin had healed over it! Actually that really stung! The belly button stitches were ok as it's still numb there, although it's looking really red at the moment. Hopefully it will be nice and healed soon :) My husband thinks that my scar looks like Garfield lol Updated on 29 Mar 2014: Hello lovely ladies, well things are going ok. Walking upright now except for when I first stand up from sitting or laying, I'm a bit like early man then!!! Lol not on any pain meds at all now so that's a plus, take my daily vitamins and iron tablets to help my body heal well. One thing I forgot to put on hear when I went for my pre op was that the nurse found a heart murmur! Plus she asked if I'd had anti biotics in the past month before surgery, which I had. Apparently this was a big no no! Told them that they should have informed me this before flying all this way! For a short while I was convinced that they would cancel the surgery but fortunately they didn't. So girlies please check with your P.S if you've had anti biotic before survey. Any how scar is healing well but not liking the ends much :( hopefully they will even out. Swelling is my major bug bear at the moment as a lots of other women on here. At first I only had swelling on the left but now it's on the right too! Bruising from lipo has gone done lots but now have bruising just above my incision, this is 3 weeks after surgery. Not sure what that's all about. Started to do more things around the house but not picking up the babies yet, to be honest it's heartbreaking not being able to do that. I so miss the bond we had :( can't wait for the 6 weeks to be up so I can lift them up :) will put some updated pics up soon :) happy healing everyone x Updated on 31 Mar 2014: Updated on 31 Mar 2014: Updated on 31 Mar 2014: Feeling swollen today, I think you are able to see it in the pictures I've added. Due to have my monthly's in a couple days so this could be a main contributor! So missing my fitness :( I really want to get back to it but the stomach muscle repair still hurts. How long does that take to heal?? Yesterday was Mother's Day so spent the days out and about with my little ones. Was really nice to get out the house for a change :) bruising is going down now and is almost vanished, the sides where I had the lipo is still hard. My swelling above the scar is also hard too. So can't wait till every thing to settle down and I'm flat. Happy healing girlies :) Updated on 2 Apr 2014: Been searching the internet of ways to help reducing swelling. Also went in to my local health shop and found out that Molasses is great for decreasing swelling. Originally was going to buy it for my husband who is suffering from gout. After one spoonful of the molasses my husbands pain had gone!! I kid you not he's been in agony for two days!! So to cut to the chase I'm on day two of taking a spoonful three times a day. Does it work I hear you ask?! Well I'm pleased to say it has :) the swelling on the right side has almost gone and there is definite improvement on the left. :) gonna keep taking it to see if it goes completely. Only bug bear I really have now is the pain from the stomach tightening!! Really girls how long does it take to get better? I'm struggling here :( Anyhow I hope my reviews help some of you, happy healing to all that are recovering and good luke to all the girls awaiting their surgery :) Updated on 5 Apr 2014: Well yesterday was my Birthday and I had a lovely day all round. For the first time yesterday I wore a wiggle skirt and didn't feel self conscious about my bulging flabby belly at all!! Man it felt good feels very sureal to say the least but in a good way :) Was nice to be able to go shopping and not look at clothes that will cover my belly. In fact I donated 80% of my wardrobe to charity so I could go out and buy new clothes. I'm so happy I can wear low cut jeans and no muffin top and no stretch marks showing :) happy bunny right now. Counting down the day to when I can work out again, that will be the icing on the cake. Sitting around with no fitness in my life has been a challenge to say the least! Gonna start of slow then build my fitness up. Know it will be a while before I can work my core though. Still taking the molasses and even got most of my friends and family on it now :) Happy healing to all the girls recovering :) x Updated on 6 Apr 2014: Still swollen but getting there :) Updated on 11 Apr 2014: Hello lovely ladies :) well yesterday I went to the gym and walked for 20 mins on the treadmill with an incline of 3 also went on the cross trainer for 15 mins. Took it easy on the both but could feel how unfit I've become :( I will be making sure that I will be walking on a regular basis to get my fitness back! Ok so my stomach wasn't too bad after the workout in fact I had minimal swelling :) I did notice however that my heart rate was through the roof whilst working out! Hoping it's just because I've not done a thing for over 5 weeks. Ordered scar guard for the scar therapy which shoul be here soon :) looking forward to seeing if it works. My belly button seems to be healing good but also seems like it's closing more. I'm laying flat at night now and able to lay on both sides. I've always slept on my side so happy with that :) I'm doing more around the house too, washing ironing. Think my husband and kids are fed up doing it now! Still yet to have a soak in the bath, my surgeon said no bath for 2 months. Miss having a bath :( also no swimming for 2 months. Not really picking up my two year old but had to today and it hurt big time! Boy that child is heavy. Shopping is weird as I'm drawn to the larger sizes still, great to know I can wear fitted clothes now. Still need to drop a few pounds stiil which I'm hoping will fall off when I'm back proper exercising. No core work yet though 2 1/2 weeks left :) Happy healing fellow Tummy tuckers :) Updated on 11 Apr 2014: Updated on 11 Apr 2014: Updated on 13 Apr 2014: Almost at the six weeks mark and so happy I done this. It's been a roller coaster of a recovery to say the least. Coming out of surgery and feeling like the stay puff marsh mallow man was surreal to say the least. Three days of extreme swelling was unexpected, well I knew my stomach would but not my face, fingers, legs, feet and toes! Wanting to go to the toilet the first day was fun too....Not! They kept giving me a bed pan, that wasn't happening. Eventually the let me go to the toilet, I was helped out of bed by two nurses and walked to the bathroom. But whilst there I felt faint and started throwing up, omg that really hurt like hell. Not a pain I would like to Endure again!! Getting back in bed and having violent shakes and not being able to stop was not a nice experience either. I think my body went in to shock :( I think I passed out after the nurses were putting blankets on me and giving me meds as I woke up the next morning feeling better. Day two I was able to push myself up and go to the toilet myself :) I like to be as independent as possible. Day 4 my drains came out and was allowed out of the hospital :) so nice to be with my hubby :) To be fair my hubby and kids have been fab but to be fair they don't clean like I would. Lol So at six weeks I intend to be getting back to my former fit self. This will be done gradually though, don't want to undo all the good work. No core work yet though not for a few mor weeks, I know my body's not ready yet. Still have more swelling on my left side compared the the right. Hoping it will go down now I'm gonna be more active. Still don't feel right without my CG so I think I'll be wearing to the gym while working out just in case. Scar is healing nicely but having a little puckering on my right side, hoping that will smooth out when I get my scar therapy under way. Ok so it the Easter holiday now so planning the next two week of activities with my 2year old and 5 year old. :) Happy Easter to all you lovely ladies and happy healing :) x Updated on 15 Apr 2014: Wow I can't believe I've reached the 6 week mark, how fast is time going? Been to the gym a couple times but not doing any classes yet, spoke to my instructor and she advised another two weeks at least. She doesn't suggest any twisting or over arm exercises yet. I totally agree though as stomach muscle are not ready yet. Think listening to ur body is the only way to go, no point pushing it to get for and ruin all the hard work you've been through! Had my scar therapy today and put it on earlier, will let you know how it goes. Finding lots of things easier now but still not able to lift anything heavy. Will get some pics up soon guys. Happy healing to all that's recovering and good luck to everyone who's due to have their TT's :)
Left with a loose sagging skin and uneven fat deposits after original liposuction. I returned 18 months later as they assured me it would all be rectified if l get a neck lift. From same surgeon as she knew the work she had carried out previously. She arrived 2 hours after me pulled and poked at my neck only to tell me l would not be happy with the results. I was stunned and very annoyed. They didnt say that before l booked my flights and apartment. I left in tears and discovered l was stuck in Prague in January in the snow with nighties and a dressing gown. They EVEN kept my £300 deposit as well. So that added insult to injury.
