Fabulous! Dr. Donaldson was very professional but comforting. He explained my procedure well and provided ample advice on my treatment plan, which included a abdominal scar revision as well as breast augmentation. He seemed very confident that my results would be what I am looking for. Updated on 7 Feb 2024: Feeling great! I still experience some nerve pain in both breasts, but gabapentin has controlled those sensations. Breasts seem to still be sitting high, and my profile view seems so pointy... I got 365 cc with high profile. It's early and I am still hopeful that they will settle down a lot more. I have some new (likely not permanent) white stretch marks under the breasts, but I am applying Vaseline to help with that. The scar revision of the abdomen is amazing! Some scar tissue was removed and the scar itself is straight!! Overall, I am extremely satisfied! I can finally say I love my boobs!!! I feel sexy and confident, but I still have a sense of feeling reserved with the clothes that I wear. I had no bruising post-op, no complications at incisions or otherwise, mild discomfort which was well managed with prescribed medications. Highly recommend Dr. Donaldson!
Well, tonight I decided to start the documentation of my Breast Augmentation journey. I have turned to this site a few times now to get some answers and reassurance before undergoing my surgery so I’m hoping I can be that outlet for someone else here in the future. I have ALWAYS dreamed of having the most perfect breasts. I have an athletic build. I have played volleyball and other sports for several years, and with that came thick thighs and a big bottom. I just always felt my lower body was never in proportion with my upper half. Right now I am a 36B on top and it just doesn’t fit with my thicker lower half. With that said, I’ve lacked a sense of self consciousness over the years when it comes to my chest. Not that I’m not a confident person, but just felt something was lacking, something to make me feel more confident in my own skin, and that something being breasts! Last year at the end of 2020 I really considered maybe, just maybe this is something I want to do for myself and that it didn’t hurt to go in for a consultation. I scheduled my consultation for October 23rd. I was so nervous to undress, take my top off, and show my breasts to the doc, but that’s just me and always has been me. I’m a very private person when it comes to my body, but who knows, that could change once I undergo my new cleavage ;) Dr Donaldson was very professional, made me feel comfortable, and it wasn’t that weird awkwardness I was anticipating at all. I asked all the necessary questions. One of my main concerns was if my husband and I considered having a family in the future, no kids as of yet, if I could breast feed with the implants, changes in the implants at that time, etc. It was reassuring that if I’m meant to breast feed, that I will, even with the implants. Example, the assistant said she had her implants done before having her two children and she breast fed both of her kids with her implants. The only struggle for me, and even to today being two weeks out to surgery, is SIZING! It’s hard to get the full vision of what the breasts will look like in the sizers. I have in my mind that perfect look I’m trying to go for but still the sizings are messing with my emotions. I want a natural look, but with that perkiness that they pop without a bra on. I want them big enough to the point where I know I put the right size in but not too much that they are so bam in your face. After going in for sizing a second time, three of the nurses all stated the same suggestion ... air on the bigger size. They said after women undergo their surgery, there’s two things stated: 1. I should have done it sooner 2. I should have went bigger. So with that said, I have decided upon the 415cc HP over the original 385 we settled on in the first appt. ... flash to today ... Breasts are paid in full, less than two weeks out from surgery, prescriptions picked up, but still struggling on size. I went from am I going big enough, to am I going too big, to again, am I going big enough. After reading reviews, looking at more photos, reading other journeys, etc. I’m debating if I should go with 450s now?? I do have a smaller chest cavity which limited me on sizing for moderate profile, which helped me decide upon the high profile ... but wondering if going with the 450s will make the breasts look too scrunched together due to having the small chest cavity. I have read that once the breasts settle in and drop, they will decrease in size by 20%. I may have to go back in for a third time and check out the sizings again. I may also have to put Dr Donaldson on my speed dial now. Hahaha. All and all, each day I get more and more excited. I started out super nervous but now I’m ready, besides narrowing down my FOR SURE size I want. I’m sure when the actual day comes I’m going to be nervous as hell but I’m ready to do this. The anticipation of what my friends and family will think/say is another thing. My husband is the only person who actually knows of my breast augmentation right now so that should be a fun reveal afterward. To think the days of padded bras are almost over! Stay tuned for more updates, if/when I hone in on my final sizing (which your recommendations are highly encouraged), post surgery, etc. Updated on 6 Feb 2021: Went back into Dr Donaldson one last time today to narrow down between 415 and 450 cc HP. There wasn’t much difference between the two, honestly so I decided to go with the higher sizing since they will settle in after healing. Read through all the paperwork, post op steps, etc last night. Got my prescriptions and healing medicines all ready to go, going to get some thin liners this weekend for the incisions, and just ordered some additional front closure sports bras for post op, just in case. Pretty much all set ready for action. Last step is getting my covid test done tomorrow, unfortunately. I shared the news of my surgery with two of my other friends, just because I was anxious and needed someone else to talk to. They are excited for me. The countdown is onnnnnn .... LETS GO! Updated on 8 Feb 2021: It’s the afternoon of 2/6/2021. Just finished chores, now waiting for our new king bed to arrive to lounge in post surgery. No, didn’t order the bed just because of surgery, but it’s a nice added touch right before surgery day :) I’m getting more and more excited for Tuesday to be here. Just got a new dress in the mail to wear once all healed up, that’s low cut and opened back. Eek ... so excited! I also ordered some new post surgery sports bras off of Amazon that I have attached here for your reference. I was advised by the doc to have extra sports bras accessible post surgery, ones with front closure rather than over the head since it’s recommended to not do a lot of lifting over your head post surgery. These sports bras received great reviews. I went one size bigger, just in case, since the breasts will be swollen and obviously I’ll have a lot more to work with come a few days from now. I received these bras to the house today and tried them on. They are a comfortable material, supportive, and would be pretty cute to rock in the gym after healing. Updated on 10 Feb 2021: Today was the day. Just finished my breast augmentation and now back home recovering with my body pillow keeping me propped up. All of the nurses and staff members were great, putting me right at ease. I was super nervous waiting beforehand but before I knew it I was knocked out and all done. Pain is minimal right now ... just feel tight up top. Haven’t gotten a chance to see my results yet since I’m all wrapped up but looking forward to seeing them in 48 hours when I can shower. Doc settled on 450cc HP for me on both the right and left. Updated on 11 Feb 2021: Feeling better every day. The process of healing hasn’t been that bad so far. Finally got to shower today since it’s been 48 hours after surgery, so that meant able to take my surgical bra off and see the results so far. The boobs are super high and tight right now. Can’t wait to see them drop and fluff out over time. Not really any bruising, as of yet, and hardly had any bleeding. The size definitely helps balance my figure out. I need to trust the process more and know that I’m still fresh out of surgery and that they are going to change every day. But so far so good. Updated on 12 Feb 2021: It’s so weird taking the surgical bra off. It feels like there’s hard apples just floating on my chest. :) Since I’m still so top heavy, I feel like these puppies need to be strapped in at all times. It’s refreshing getting a glimpse at them though. After opening up the surgical bra today, it looks like both breasts are slowly but surely dropping and starting to become symmetrical with one another. My side boobs are super tight and a little sore but I can hardly feel the pain anymore. I should be off the pain meds fully by this evening/tomorrow. Hoping that getting off of the pain pills will also help with my stomach bloating. Today I was able to fully function and get around on my own without someone helping me, which I was pretty excited about. However, I’m totally over sitting and sleeping propped up though. Can’t wait to be able to lay in a different position soon. I was able to check out my incisions a little more today too and for the most part they look great. This healing process has been a lot easier than I expected it to be ... knock on wood. Tomorrow I may try on some tops to see what an every day look may look like. Stay tuned! Updated on 13 Feb 2021: Here are some updated photos I took today of a few views, in comparison to where I started before BA. My side boob area is still very swollen, which is more than likely from my surgical bra. Still very heavy up top and feel weird being unclothed without a bra on because they feel like they need to be strapped in at all times. Updated on 16 Feb 2021: I was supposed to have my 1 week post op appt today but it got cancelled due to the inclement weather here in Columbus. Hoping to get rescheduled for tomorrow to check on progress of my BA, but so far so good. Off pain meds completely and have been for a few days now, hardly even taking Tylenol for the pain either. Was able to squeeze myself into a different post op sports bra today that I bought prior to surgery, since my swelling has gone down immensely. Very happy with how the girls fill out this bra in comparison to how they would have filled it out before. Updated on 16 Feb 2021: I know not everyone’s body heals the same way but I think it was definitely worth paying a little extra to get the current results from my BA. I haven’t had any bruising, bleeding, etc ... hardly any pain whatsoever. My husband is even super impressed and surprised how quickly I bounced back to everyday life after my surgery. Here are some photos on my incision areas. Best word of advice, don’t skimp on price and do your research beforehand. Updated on 17 Feb 2021: This is Day 8 Post Op. Can’t believe it’s already been over a week since operation. Got a new top in the mail today and had to try on. Look how great the girls look!!!!!! IN LOVE would be an understatement. Feeling great, looking great. Updated on 19 Feb 2021: Crazy to believe it’s already been a week and a half since surgery! The girls are starting to loosen up and not be as tight anymore, thank goodness! Everyday brings a different change to them. I felt comfortable massaging and moving the boobs a little bit today. Here’s a video after taking my shower. Finally getting some movement and softness to them :) Hang in there post surgery gals. They will change and become a part of you, I promise. Can’t wait to see what they become in another week from now. Updated on 21 Feb 2021: Not much to report today. Left looks to be dropping a lot quicker than the right. My left was symmetrically bigger before surgery, I think it’s because the nipple sits lower on my breast and the nipple itself is bigger than the right nipple, which not much you can do there. Hoping they even out as time goes on. Started massaging them to soften them up and that seems to be working. All pain has subsided. At this rate I would opt to do a BA over and over again :) Updated on 21 Feb 2021: I had to post this one today too. Still have my surgical sports bra on, no padding. Loving how natural the girls are looking. They look like they should have been on my body all along. I have a thick and muscular physique being in sports all my life. The 450s balance me out so well. Not overwhelming, just enough. I can’t wait to see how they continue to change but I’m in love so far. I hope this helps those girls that have a similar figure. Updated on 21 Feb 2021: Trying on clothes is sooooooooooo much more fun now :) More dress up play today and just had to share. It’s too good not to. Sorry not sorry! Just shy of two weeks. 450s are settling nicely and naturally. Updated on 23 Feb 2021: So boob greed is definitely a thing!!!! Need some help and advice from those of you who went through this journey before. It’s been two weeks since surgery and now today I feel like the girls look small to me. Maybe because I’m getting used to them? But then when I looks at people who got in the 500s to compare my 450s to, the 500s look super massive to me. I’m exactly 2 weeks post op today. Here’s an updated photo of my current status. Need some word of advice please! Thanks in advance :) Updated on 24 Feb 2021: Trying on my swim suits really helped build the confidence today. After putting myself through torture last night for hours, unable to sleep, wondering if I had picked the right size ... today I decided to try on swim suits in my closet. Thank god I did. I’m extremely happy with how things look. The girls are just enough. Enough to put out in plain sight when I want to, but not too much that I’m not too top heavy in sweaters and such. Never realized some of my suits could become as scandalous as they are now, which ain’t a bad thing. I divided up my suits in two buckets, scandalous and non scandalous, depending on the function ;) BTW, I finally have under and size boob. Yay!!!! Updated on 26 Feb 2021: The girls are starting to get more movement to them and definitely softer. I noticed my under boob is still numb. Not much dropping has happened underneath yet. Patiently waiting for that to happen. I started walking the treadmill everyday since Tuesday, which has been amazing so I don’t feel like such a blob anymore. I took my original scar tape off today finally. Felt comfortable removing it without bothering the incisions. Was able to clean the scars up and then reapply new scar tape, so that felt amazing. Trying to be patient and trust the process for this drop and fluff thing to appear but it’s hard!!!! Anyone else drive themselves crazy looking at this site, second guessing size, etc? Anyway, I do love them and remind myself they are WAYYYY BETTER than before. Looking at before pictures to compare really help too. BTW, morning boob is a thing. Been waking up with them pretty hard in the morning. The morning massages definitely help loosen them. Video attached of progress and massage time with my girls :) Updated on 2 Mar 2021: I’m 3 weeks post op today! Crazy to believe it’s only been three weeks. It feels like it has been so much longer. I started my scar cream (Silagen) today. Letting the scars air out a little bit without putting scar tape back on for right now. It will be easier to have them open too since I have to put the scar cream on twice a day, in the morning and at night. Not much else to report. Still thinking I could have went a little bit bigger but I’m still so happy with my current results. I remind myself there’s still SO much change they are going to go through. And may as well give these babies a test ride for right now because I can always change them out in the future, which is good to do. BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY LADIES! Updated on 10 Mar 2021: I haven’t updated for about a week now. Not too much has changed though. I went to my post op month appt on Monday and doc was very happy with the results. I cleared up some odd and end questions I had. I have been doing massages regularly but it seems like the sides are still pretty tight, especially when I wake up and lay down at night. Any ladies who had their BA experience this at one month? Is that normal? Updated on 11 Mar 2021: I love them so much!!!! Every day I fall more and more in love with my chest. Sizing is perfect on me, now as the girls continue to settle, take shape, and gain movement. What do y’all think??? ;) My underboob hasn’t dropped yet. Still a little numb in that area. And my side boobs are still a little tight, but I feel great. Scars are starting to heal up nicely too. Still having morning boob :/ Updated on 20 Mar 2021: Almost 6 weeks post op! Crazy to think it happened almost 6 weeks ago, but feels much longer than that since the girls feel a part of me now. Felt pretty tonight with my vacation tan glowing in this white low cut v so I had to take a selfie ;) Where are my selfie queens at??? I feel 100% back to normal. Still some tightness in the side of my boobs but still doing my daily massages to try and help loosen some of that. My doc said the tightness is normal since I’m becoming more active now. I haven’t started lifting in the gym yet. Holding off on that for another week or so. I don’t want to push it. Seeing minor changes daily of more dropping and fluffing progress. Ordered a few bra sets from Adore Me so waiting for those to come in to try on ... which I’m super anxious about. That will more than likely be my next update. But in the meantime, wanted to send a quick update of clothing progress :) Updated on 31 Mar 2021: Hello gorgeous boob friends, It’s UPDATE TIME, PLUS ... photo dump!!! It’s been 10 days since I last posted anything but I know how important these updates are for people, at least they were for me and still are. I’m almost 2 months post op, which is crazy to believe but then again it feels so much longer than that. I started adding some weight training back into my routine at the gym, as I was cleared a few weeks ago but didn’t want to push it. I’m still wearing a surgical bra around the house day to day and to sleep in. I just like that added support still. Still massaging, still applying scar cream, and still sleeping on back, been adding a little side sleeping here and there but it’s not quite that comfortable yet. Find photo dump attached of different angles in clothes with underwire NO PADDING bra underneath. Waiting for some Adore Me bra sets to come in, which I ordered a few weeks ago but still have yet to receive, which I’m super bummed and not very happy about! I have never ordered from Adore Me before but went off of recommendations on here. I measured my own self at home in order to know what size to order. I’m between a 36-38DD right now. Also, based on recommendations on here, I ordered a few weeks ago a Natori bra and that came in. I have only tried on but haven’t worn out in public with clothes yet, just to be incision safe. I plan to do so this weekend though so I wanted to try it on today under clothing ... which sparked me to do this update :) Let me know what y’all think, any questions you may have, etc Happy to help! Updated on 16 Apr 2021: For those who have asked, here’s some update full body profile pics without clothes. I still have a ways to go on dropping and fluffing I think. They get better and better every day. Don’t mind my multiple tan lines. I guess that’s what happens when you get to wear cute suits after getting your boobs done :) Hope this helps for those who have asked.
Shortly after I delivered the youngest of our 4 children (she is now 3), I began really researching breast augmentations and various plastic surgeons in my area. I'm 5'10", 140 pounds, and have broad shoulders, so my A cups, that are quite deflated after 4 children, just weren't proportionate to the rest of my frame. But I was always too worried about what others might say or think if I were to get an augmentation, so I never pulled the trigger. Last November, my 11 year old daughter needed new bras; When we went to purchase them, I realized she was wearing the same size as me. That, for me, was the tipping point. The next week I called and scheduled a consultation with Dr. Donaldson. In my years of looking into different surgeons, Dr. Donaldson stood out for what may seem like a silly reason to some, but was important to me: He doesn't post before and after pictures on his website-they are available only in consultations. Again, may not matter to some, but it did to me. So I scheduled with him, while telling myself that if it didn't go well or if I didn't feel he was the one, I'd schedule another consultation with another surgeon. My first consultation was virtual. I uploaded photos and expressed what I was hoping to achieve beforehand, and we discussed it together, with some of his staff, together virtually. At that point, he made basic recommendations and showed me before/after photos of his work. I knew after that appointment that I would be going with him for my surgery. That appointment was right before Christmas, so after the holidays, I scheduled my sizing appointment in the office. Every staff member I had contact with was wonderful-friendly, welcoming, personable, and wiling to go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I went alone to my sizing appointment because I wanted to make that decision ALONE-to make sure it was what I wanted-but it did make it a little awkward to be undressed in front of strangers without having a support buddy there. But the staff was wonderful at countering those feelings of embarrassment. Dr. Donaldson was not only patient in explaining things, thorough in measuring me and addressing my concerns and questions, but also was very kind...that meant so much to me. The day of surgery was a breeze. I was torn between a few different options and ultimately left it up to Dr. Donaldson. I'm glad I did because he made the right call (the first time I saw them after surgery I legit cried happy tears). My recovery, while painful (but only to the extent that I had expected), was so much easier and faster than I'd expected. Today I am 2 weeks post-op and I couldn't be happier with my results, which I know will only get better with time. This has given me more confidence. And this may sound strange, but they still look like my boobs, just enhanced. It's like my natural boobs on steroids! LOL. When I went to my one week post-op, I told the staff, "I feel so heard." They listened when I said I wanted a natural look, with a size that wasn't too much, but proportionate to my body. I tried on 330s, 345s and ended up going with 375s. Natrelle Softtouch, round, silicone, under the muscle, moderate profile. And I LOVE them. Why did I wait so long to do this for myself? Thank you to Dr. Donaldson and his staff. They have given me so much. HIGHLY recommend that if you're wanting to do this, just do it. And if you're in the Columbus, OH area, do it with Dr. Donaldson.
I’m over 40 and was a 34B /36A . I had started researching getting my BA for a year and a half and this site helped me so much . I’m a mother of 1 and breast fed and my daughter didn’t take my milk fast enough so my boobs became very engorged and stretched them out and made them look floppy after they dried up . I was always wearing a push up bra to pull off that roundness and not droop . I schedule my BA with Dr. Jeffrey Donaldson for 2/5/19 and paid for it on 1/8/19 ! Done deal . Was extremely excited because I had researched him and seen 100’s of videos of happy woman that had went to him as well as he has been honored with a lot of awards for his work . His staff are very professional and sweet. I was impressed ! I didn’t want to go for a [RS bleep] look at all and he showed me pictures of the look I was going for ! I’m all in ! Updated on 5 Mar 2019: I did 360cc silicone Imspira and a month out I’m happy with results ! Dr. Donaldson did a great job . I had no bruising ( I’m very light skin ) and after surgery I felt no pain only discomfort and that was minimal. I didn’t need any pain meds ( only Tylenol) though whole process . I’m amazed at how easy this procedure was and the results !
I purchased a halo facial and BBL at Dr. Donaldson’s practice at a cancer fundraiser. I was thrilled to try to treatment. Dr. Donaldson performed procedure - And he was great. Included is a fantastic facial and skin care goodie bag that were awesome. I would highly recommend the treatment and the practice!
Dr. Donaldson was friendly and professional right from the start. He makes you feel comfortable and at home. He listens to you and makes sure you both are on the same level and that you are confident before you go into surgery. I had a great augmentation done and he made the entire thing so easy! He cares a lot about his work and his patients and it shows in the results. He has the honesty you need from a doctor combined with the advice and humor you get with a good friend! Because he was so gentle in surgery, I had no pain even right out of surgery. Did not take a single pain pill and was able to get right back into my daily routine, just with carefulness. His skills make recovery, pain and healing a breeze. His staff is amazing as well. I was in constant contact with his staff, with different concerns and they always quickly returned my emails and showed great care for me. I can't thank them enough for how I was looked after and I love my results. Dr. Donaldson is a wonderful doctor and a great man, and his staff makes you feel right at home.
The staff is always friendly. I come to the office to get my CoolSculpting treatments and I always feel comfortable. My questions are always answered and I love the results I have gotten so far from CoolSculpting!
couldn't be happier with Dr. Donaldson and his entire office staff! I recently received both Botox and breast augmentation surgery, and am so pleased with the results of both. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Donaldson and his staff were very supportive and kind. They were able to get me in just a few weeks later, and provided me with additional options for financing the procedure. In preparation for the breast augmentation, they were patient above all else. They answered all of my questions along the way, and allowed me to come back in to make sure that I was indeed happy and sure about my selection. At the surgery center, they were attentive, organized, soothing and professional. Despite the fact that they've already received payment in full, they've continued to to provide the same level of after care support as they have since the beginning including follow up calls and appointments, as well as attention to my comfort and needs. The healing process has been so much better than I had expected, and I am so glad I made the decision to move forward with this provider. In addition, he administered my Botox, a service I've received several times. However, with less Botox (aka less cost), he achieved better results. I feel absolutely stunning, and am excited about all that I was able to accomplish with Dr. Donaldson and his team!
Always awesome. The entire staff is super friendly and Dr. Donaldson is just the best. He's a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a doctor! I trust him with everything to be at my best. He's done otoplasty, botox and Adrienne did coolsculpting.
Dr Donaldson and his staff are amazing in what they do! They make your entire experience pleasant and comfortable. They will listen attentively and answer any and all questions you may have. You couldn't ask for a better doctor with better bedside manner.

Covid-19 is important to consider when scheduling a surgery right now. The chances of contracting the illness in the surgical center are very low. Those who work in surgery centers are trained on the significance of maintaining sterile environments and keeping patients safe. These protocols have been amplified during these times- some surgery centers will require negative Covid-19 tests before moving forward with the surgery, and they will also do a health screening upon arrival to the center. The main concerns are if the patient is asymptomatic with Covid-19 prior to their surgery or if they contract it during their healing process. After surgery, the patient is essentially immunocompromised, so the virus may affect recovery time. However, since every individual responds very differently to the virus, the effect on recovery time will also vary between patients. It is important for patients to understand that there is this slightly increased risk, and they should talk with their surgical team about the precautions that are being taken to keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your question! This is an instance where a consultation would be necessary to determine the details of your treatment plan. Here is some information about what a surgeon may look for during your consultation: Since you are looking to address a pocket of fat, liposuction alone may do the trick. However, this would be dependent on your skin laxity. If the skin is not elastic enough, it may not conform to the contour of the area. This is an instance where a thigh lift would be beneficial in removing that excess skin after liposuction. Your surgeon will be able to map out an individualized treatment plan based on your skin laxity, individual anatomy, and overall goals.
Hi Savannah, Labiaplasty downtime may be less than expected for a cosmetic surgery. We recommend you take two to three days of consistent rest while using ice packs, pads, and antibiotic ointment. Oftentimes, patients may be prescribed a pain medication just in case it is needed, but typically it is not necessary. After a couple of days, you will be able to return to your regular daily activities. You will want to wait a month before returning to activities that will put direct pressure on the area, i.e., riding a bike, having sex, etc.
This is an excellent question! There are four kinds of breast lifts with varying scarring. As lift potential increases, more scarring will come along with it. Crescentic mini-mastopexy is the least invasive- the scar is just a half circle at the top of the areola, and it will result in 1 to 2 centimeters of lift. The circumareolar lift includes an incision that will go all the way around the areola, and this lift will result in 2 to 3 centimeters of lift. Next, the circumareolar with vertical extension. This lift is known as the lollipop lift, because of the circular incision around the areola and vertical, straight incision beneath it. The lollipop lift has the potential for 5 to 6 centimeters of lift. Finally, the circumareolar with vertical and horizontal extension is similar to the lollipop lift but includes a horizontal scar. This option has unlimited lift potential.
