The Vein and Cosmetic Center is an excellent place for a variety of treatments. I have had several treatments done with the best care anyone could ask for. I went there because of Menopause. I’ve been seeing Joy for over a year and she has changed my life for the better with Hormone Pellet Therapy. I’ve also had the IPL and BBL BroadBand Light Photo Facial and loved it so much I’ve gone back 2 more times. The skin on my face looks fantastic for a 56 year old woman who’s been in the sun her whole life. I also take advantage of their Botox and filler specials. My next treatment has to be the Coolsculpting. I hear they are the best in all of Tampa Bay. Thank you Vein and Cosmetic Center
The Vein & Cosmetic Center of Tampa Bay is a wonderful practice. Dr Hunt treated my severe varicose veins after having children over 10 years ago with amazing results. I've continued being a loyal patient over the years on the cosmetic side having Photofacials, Juvederm & Botox by his exceptional nurse practitioners who have always delivered beautiful results and listened to my concerns with expert advise & compassion. Dr Hunt has recently expanded after 25 years in business and his facility is state of the art. He told me there is no reason to have amazing technology if no-one can afford it and everyone in Tampa Bay is a candidate for lasers, fillers, botox & bioidenticals to help us all age gracefully. His NP tells me better a needle than a knife and I agree at this point in my Life. I've never felt better and wanted to take the time to thank a great doctor like Dr Hunt and his amazing staff. You guys really are the BEST "Vein & Cosmetic" practice in Tampa!
I saved money for a very long time to get this procedure done. This pain was terrible while being performed but I got through it. On day two I was in horrific pain. I called in the morning and was told they do not give pain medications for this procedure. I got another call back in the afternoon offering a non-narcotic prescription pain med but the pain had subsided a bit by then so I declined. The entire experience was just awful. It may have been worth it all had there been any improvement in my skin condition in regards to fine lines and wrinkles. While it did remove some dark spots on my forehead near my eyes, I looked exactly the same after this procedure once the swelling came down. NOTHING CHANGED! I could not believe I spent this money and put myself through all of this for nothing. When I went back to see her (forget her name) I was upset. I told her that I saw no different in my skin from the treatment. She pointed to one spot above my lip and said that she saw some "softening" in the lines above my lip. I saw no such thing. The treatment caused hyper-pigmentation (not a good thing) in some areas which she agreed to treat with another laser. I asked her inject some fillers around my mouth so I could get something out of all of this. This cost me an additional $750.00. The picture you see is me after the 2nd laser treatment (she said no down time) and the fillers. I emailed them regarding the burnt skin areas after the second laser treatment. They did not respond. Ladies DO NOT HAVE THIS DONE if you want/need fine line and wrinkle treatment. It does not work. You will have wasted your money and the process is painful, very painful. I do not recommend this facility. She should have addressed my dissatisfaction but she did not.
I am 31 yrs. old. Did my h.w. and did research online and scheduled more than one consultation to compare physicians' advise. I have combination skin with hyper pigmentation due to previous acne; no scarring. I have olive skin so the marks appear darker than the rest of my face. All three physicians stated Fraxel would be a good option for me to create an even tone and diminish the hyper pigmentation. My PCP recommended I choose a MD who peforms at least 20 Fraxel treatments per month. The provider I selected performs 10 Fraxel treatments per day. They played a video for me to help me understand the process and they spoke with me one-on-one. The provider I chose recommended 3-4 Treatments at $500/ea. with bleaching cream and follow up with Obagi products. In comparision to another provider who proposed 6 treatments at $750/ea. They all provided me a list of products I could not use prior to the treatment. The provider I chose told me to hold off on Retin A for 3 days prior and 3 days after if I chose to have treatments 3 weeks apart. If I chose to have treatment 2 weeks apart then to hold on the Retin A during the course of the treatment. After they cleansed me they gave me 4 Ibuprofen 1 hr. prior to treatment. Then they placed an analgesic cream on my face. I waited for 1 hour (restless). Then they laid me on a table which slanted back a bit cleansed the cream off my face and placed another gel on my face. They covered my eyes with a 2 plastic covers. And then a flashing red light was apparent with a pinching sensation across my face. The doctor said it was a treatment prior to Fraxel to break apart/ disperse the pigmentation. Then they cleansed my face again, and covered my eyes with a 2 metal coverings. The Fraxel was very very very painful. Did I tell you it was painful? It was painful. My skin was very sensitive. They gave me stress balls to squeeze. I teared up, and had difficulty breathing because I was so tense. The doctor was very kind and talked to me thru the whole process with encouragement and stopped to ensure I took deep breaths to relax. The whole Fraxelprocess took 20 minutes. She started with my forehead, then my cheeks, then my chin, under my eyes, and lastly my nose. The most painful area for me was my cheeks. During the process I had a fan blowing cool air on my face and there was a slight smell of burning. The kind of smell when you burn hair, but not overwhelming. My face was extremely swollen after the process. They placed aloe gel immediately after the Fraxel. Then they took me to another room where my face was placed in the center of a semi-circular reflective machine which strobed light across my face for 35 seconds. She said it would help with the redness, which it did. My face was not very red the first day. I was given two small ice packs for my face, more aloe gel, chapstick, Sun lotion SPF 30, a hat and my bleaching cream. Appt. lasted 2 hrs. I went to work the next day. People thought I didn't get good sleep the night before, my face looked sun burnt or it looked like I was crying last night. Different comments. My next appt is in two weeks. I figure the faster I get this pain over with the better. Swelling was greater the following morning, esp. around the eyes, but diminished thru the day. Redness more apparent the 2nd day, and peeling towards the end of 2nd day. Already the marks look faded, but my MD said changes would be most evident in 1 week. Will keep you posted.
When Coolsculpting was first introduced to the market the treatments were 60 minutes for each applicator. They have since improved the technology and came out with new Cooladvantage applicators that are either 35 minutes or 45 minutes depending on the applicator used with the same efficacy as the original treatments. This allows for shorter treatment times and improved patient comfort.
