QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What is the ideal age for Emface treatments?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

There is really no ideal age for Emface treatment. It depends on your facial structure and skin condition. Some people can experience signs of facial framework and skin aging at earlier ages than other people. Emface treatment initiated earlier can achieve a desired result potentially with less sessions. If skin sagging and loss of facial tone is evident, seek a consultation to get information on realistic results for your current condition.

How many Emface sessions before I see results?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

We recommend a minimum of four 20 minute treatments spaced about one week apart. Most of our patients see optimum results 3 months after the last treatment. Other patients see better results with one treatment per decade of life. This depends on your facial structure and your goals. I am over 60 years old and I did 6 treatments.

Is Emface painful?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Emface is not painful, does not require any local or topical anesthesia, and there is no downtime. Each session is 20 minutes in duration. The RF portion of Emface warms the tissue while the electromagnetics stimulates the facial muscle contractions. Although not painful it is a different feeling having the muscles contract for brief periods. It makes your face look like it's squinting, or like you tasted something very sour. Some of our patients say it feels like a facial massage and that it is relaxing.

What is the best treatment for my acne scars?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Exion RF AI micro-needling is great for skin resurfacing and texture remodeling. On average it has been shown to decrease the appearance of acne scars by 41% after the minimal 3 - 4 treatment sessions. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. This is less painful than Morpheus8 as this is a single pass procedure, meaning each area is treated once. There is no reason to go over the same area 3 times like Morpheus8. This can be very uncomfortable. While a topical anesthetic can decrease discomfort, many patients do not feel the need for it. Overall, Exion RF micro-needling can significantly decrease acne scars and improve skin texture. Optimum results are seen 3 months after the last treatment session.

What do you recommend to improve the texture, scars, and pores? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Your skin texture appears fairly smooth in these pictures. Not sure what the appearance was pre-operatively, but overall your skin looks good. If you wanted to gain better texture and further reduction of scarring, Exion RF AI micro-needling might offer further improvement. I am not sure any further significant improvements can be achieved given your treatment history already.
However, the Exion micro-needling penetrates the skin to mechanically break-up fibroblasts that stimulate collagen and elastin remodeling. While this heals, it smooths the texture of the skin.
Since several laser treatments have already been done, your results might be limited as you appear to have nice skin texture already. Most patients achieve great results after 3 - 4 treatments spaced a week apart. Optimum results are seen at 3 months after the last treatment.

Is Emface real or just hype?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

We have seen significant improvements to the tone and texture of lax skin with wrinkles. Optimum results usually require a minimum of 4 treatments depending on the skin condition and muscle tone. Peak results are seen about 3 months after the last treatment. People in their 50's to 80's usually will require 5 - 8 total treatments. The electromagnetics of Emface stimulate the facial muscles to tone and strengthen them. This gives a natural lifting to our facial muscle as they naturally atrophy after our 30's. This leads to sagging or drooping. The RF of Emface tones and replenishes collagen and elastin up to an average of about a 50% gain. This can help smooth the texture of your skin and provide a renewed fullness, while defining the jaw line. The new Submentum applicator can also help with double chin and upper neck skin laxity. We have seen some really great results overall.

Emsculpt Neo Love handles paddle placement - Is it better this way or better lying on my front?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It is much more comfortable and preferred to be lying on your back. The Edge applicators have the RF and electromagnetics on both sides of the dual paddle, so it does not matter as this will target both flank areas towards the front and back sides.

Where are the Emsculpt paddles placed when treating the glutes & are all glute muscles treated?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The Emsculpt Neo large applicators are used for this body region. The body position for this treatment is face down lying on your stomach. One applicator per glute is used at the same time. The placement of the applicator is centered on each glute and will engage all three gluteal muscles for supra-maximal contractions.

Emsculpt Neo and scar tissue?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It seems that your concerns might be the fat pocket as well as the band of scar tissue from previous treatments. Emsculpt Neo can help with reducing the amount of fat in the abdominal area, while simultaneously building muscle. To address the band of scar tissue, Exion RF AI micro-needling has been shown to reduce the appearance of scar tissue, as well as acne scars, and stretch marks. Your concerns might benefit from this dual therapy. A minimum of 4 treatments of each platform is recommended. More might be needed depending on your specific goals.

Emsculpt Neo on flanks?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The abdominal region is a popular area of concern for many of our patients. Emsculpt Neo can address the abdominal and flank (love handles). We have different applicators for these two regions. The treatments are virtually the same. A minimum of 4 treatments per area about one week apart is recommended. Many of our patients see great results when doing both of these at the same time. One visit, two treatment areas. Each area is a 30 minute session. So a back-to-back abs and flanks would be an hour long.
