Dr. Rosing is one of the best plastic surgeons in Orange County. He performed a breast augmentation and lift on my mother and it turned out perfect. He also performed a breast augmentation and scar revision on myself. This was a second breast aug as I was wanting to go bigger and have a more augmented look for my second. He truly cares about each one of his patients and takes his time to really understand the desired look you re trying to achieve. He will go over all options with you in grave detail. He is extremely attentive to detail and will take his time during surgery to ensure you receive the best results. I know from last experience for my first breast augmentation with a different surgeon the surgery time was shockingly fast and I was not happy with the end results but dr. Rosing will take his time. He takes the time to follow up with all his patients after surgery and is extremely transparent with communicating to his patients realistic results he can achieve for them.
I am so happy tha ti was referred to Dr Rosing! He is truly a gifted at his craft ! He, and his entire staff made my experience pain free and actually enjoyable. I love my results and highly recommend him and his staff!
I am incredibly happy with the amazing job and care Dr. Rosing had for my procedure. He is very honest and straightforward and explained the procedure in great detail. Dr. Rosing is extremely skilled and meticulous and my results are amazing and very natural looking. During each visit Dr. Rosing and his staff made me feel comfortable and cared for. I have and will continue to recommend him to my friends and family. I am Very pleased with my results! Thank you Dr. Rosing, Morgan and Leah. I will see you again for additional procedures.
Dr. Rosing is very professional, and kind. He does beautiful and thoughtful work. I was extremely nervous to try Botox in my forehead for the first time because of the possible side effects. Dr. Rosing was so patient with me and answered all of my questions and concerns. He explained exactly what he was doing through out the process. I felt he really listens to what you are trying to achieve. I was a little anxious 4 days later when the Botox started to take effect and my face was adjusting to the procedure. I contacted the office and Morgan, his surgical coordinator reassured me that what I was feeling was a normal response. It has been about 2 weeks now and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the results! I look so refreshed and seriously even got carded at the grocery store today lol! (I’m 40 btw). I also consulted with Dr. Rosing about breast augmentation and a tummy tuck. Dr Rosing and Morgan spent so much time answering my questions and concerns. I had consulted with a few other plastic Surgeons in Newport Beach. What stood out about Dr. Rosing is that he was so respectful. He treated me as a person, and not a project. I would highly recommend Dr. Rosing to family and friends.
Dr. Rosing is the best plastic surgeon in the world. I am so happy with my results and feel like a new woman. I found Dr. Rosing through my good friend, also know of a few people that he worked on. After doing my research on James Rosing and read his credentials and extensive education and experience I had no doubt that he was the one! It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and results are magnificent. The one thing I was scared of was after pain but I didn't feel any pain and went to work after 6 days. I had breast augmentation and when it come to surgery I only want the best of the best. I have to also thank Dr. Rosing's assistant Morgan, she is highly educated in all procedures and really helped me through my whole experience. I usually get really bad anxiety and become nervous to the point where I could have a panic attract but I surprised on how calm and comfortable I was. Thank you Dr. Rosing and Morgan I feel so lucky and thanks to all the staff that help. Exceptional services, quality and value!
Just had my lower blephroplasty today. Eyes are bruised and swollen. Pain is not bad! Dr. Rosing and his surgical team are amazing. Because of the swelling and bruising can't say how they will look when they heal, I can see that the wrinkles and bulges are so much better now. From the anesetheoligist to the Nurses and Dr Rosing were wonderful.. So caring and professional! Updated on 31 May 2016: One week one day post op.. Went to PS today says my eyes are doing great!! Still pretty bruised and swollen but loving that the lower puffy bags are gone???? Updated on 23 Jun 2016: 4 weeks post op! Healing great, little swollen still.. Loving my refreshed eyes???? Updated on 26 Jun 2016: 5 weeks post op! Eyes are a little swollen, still healing! Love my refreshed eyes! Dr Rosing is amazing!! Highly recommended ???? Close up, no makeup.. Dr Rosing stitched below my eyelash lines, no visible scar!!
I have always had smaller breasts, barely B cup. Everything was padded, my bras, sports bras, and bathing suits. After having 2 children my breasts changed shape, and began to sag. I met with Dr. Rosing in Newport Beach to discuss an augmentation, and options for the extra fat I carried around my belly. He was very informative, easy to talk to, listened to my concerns, and guided me in making my decisions. I had my surgery on Feb 2, 2015. The surgery center was AMAZING! Nicest people working there! After my procedure I was prepared with pain meds and ice packs, but to my surprise I had hardly ANY pain or bruising... NONE! I truly feel my surgeon took such good care of me during my surgery. I believe some surgeons can be quick with procedures, in and out, cut and sew... But I think if the surgeon truly takes his time, the bruising, swelling, and pain can be mediated! I took the week off from work, and 3 days after my surgery I was ready to go back! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my results! I had Allergan 339 mod profile and lipo on my belly (he even did a small revision on my belly button b/c I had a stretch mark through it from a belly button ring... and 2 babies!) I would HIGHLY recommend you to research your surgeon and read reviews. I am so glad I chose Dr. Rosing to do my "mini mommy make over! I feel AND look GREAT!!!!!! : )
First, if you are on the fence about having this surgery, don't be. Yes it is scary to think about. (stay away from those online videos of the procedure itself :) ) But I can't tell you how much better I feel about myself after having this done. I had small breasts that had become saggy from breast feeding. I had excess stomach laxity in my abdomen and a little excess fat that would not seem to go away. (I wasn't trying all that hard , but still) I met Dr. Rosing and 4 other surgeons to discuss the surgery. There was something about Dr. Rosing that made me very comfortable. He was confident without being arrogant, knowledgeable to the extreme (some of the things he talked about I didn't completely understand, but I was pleased he didn't speak in all layman terms). My surgery and recovery went off without a hitch. I now have full B sized breasts. I have no muffin top. The scar from the tummy tuck is a little daunting but it seems to get better everyday. It is smooth and perfectly straight. My belly button looks so cute. I love it. My breasts are excatly what I had hoped and asked for. They are lifted and full but don't look "fake". I credit Dr. Rosing with that because he said I could have a "fake" look if I wanted. i feel he took the time to fully understand what I wanted to get out of this surgery. I am sooooo happy. I love to wear new clothes. It's fun to see how everything looks on me. The office is not pretentious at all. They have a dermatology practice as well. It seems like they have so many regular patients there. The front office seems to know everyone. I will be making this my new Dermatology office from now on... I am fully recovered but I still want to visit. :)
Dr Rosing removed a mole over my eye lid. It was in a pretty big and a very visible sensitive spot so I was nervous. Now a few months later you can't even tell I ever had anything. The way he carefully used his skill similar to eye lifts made all the difference. Now I have a thing on my scalp so I returned to the office. Only they don't do covered California ins which I just got. So bummed that I may have to pay cash so he can do the work again.
I have hated my nose ever since I was in junior high; especially my profile. I remember the first time I ever saw my profile while I was laughing, I could not believe how my nose looked! Overall I have always hated the way my nose changed when I became animated (smiling, laughing), especially my profile. From front view, my nose did not bother too much, though I did have a bulbous tip. I have always told myself I would fix my nose before I got married (who wants to worry about avoiding camera profile views, when they should be enjoying their special day!). Though I have always been worried about others thinking less of me because I had cosmetic surgery, ultimately I realized I was not doing it for anyone else other than myself. Therefore why did I care what others thought? My family and fiancé told me they did not think I needed the surgery but would support me through it if I decided it was what I wanted. Though I am barely two weeks post op I know I will love my new nose. The hardest part of the whole surgery was looking in the mirror and seeing something different, even though it was better! No one really tells how weird of a feeling that is to look and see something different on your face. That has been the hardest part, getting use to my new reflection. Even though I love my new reflection and stare at my profile whenever I get the chance, it definitely has taken some time to get used to. The best part of the whole surgery was my doctor did not make my nose into someone else’s; he gave me a better version of what I had. One of my biggest fears (along with my families) was having a nose that no longer fit my face, and did not seem to look like me. Right off my father saw my nose after cast removal the first thing he said was "oh I am sooo happy! You still look like you! Just an improved nose!" I read on real self all the time about how important it is to go into surgery and realize you are not (most likely) going to come out with the perfect nose like celebrities, but rather a nose that is an improvement and better suits your face. I think this is really important to keep in mind during surgery. Now for my doctor... I had an amazing doctor! I met with Dr. Rosing at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Northern California two times before surgery and he made me feel very comfortable and listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions and told me what to expect. I have never met a doctor who has such amazing bedside manners. He seems to truly care about his patients, there needs and desires, while being realistic about what to expect. He was conservative in the surgery, which is one of the main reasons I went with him. I was afraid of coming out with a ski slope because too much of a hump was removed, or a pig nose because too much cartilage was taken out from my tip. But he was conservative and I came out with the perfect combination of adjustments that fit my face! After the surgery I had a cast on for a week and throughout the week he was very easy to get ahold of and he answered all my concerns. I probably contacted him more than any other patient I feel, every little thing I was so worried about and whether it would mess up my results! He was always very understanding and reassured me throughout the whole process. Everyone at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center was great throughout the whole process! Even once doctor Rosing removed the cast a few of the nurses asked if they could come in as they were so excited to see the results. The removal of the cast also did not hurt (I have heard horror stories), Dr. Rosing was very gently and I felt very minimal pain. I should also mention Dr. Rosing preformed open rhinoplasty (he feels it will give patients the best results because the doctor is able to see the bone structures clearly), and my scare is barely visible just one and a half weeks later! He did an excellent job suturing my nose back up! I also want to mention how I met with the anesthesiologist before being taken into the OR room for the surgery and he said how he had no idea how I found Dr. Rosing, but I was very lucky, because he does great work! If he or his family were to ever do surgery, he would have Dr. Rosing do it! Overall I had a great experience and results which I contribute to Dr. Rosing and the staff at the Laser and Skin surgery center.
One option for post-operative pain control is Sprix Nasal Spray or intra-nasal toradol. Toradol is one of the most powerful NSAID's and has none of the negative side effects of opiate based pain medication (percocet/vicodin/norco) such as nausea, dizziness, constipation. Ask your doctor if it is safe for you to try Sprix as a post op pain control medication. NSAID's impact the clotting cascade and increase the risk of bleeding, hematoma, as well as gastritis.
I charge on average $7500 - $9000 for the surgeon fee portion. The reason there is variability is that every patient is different and the cost is based on time and complexity of the case. I do my SMAS (muscle) tightening facelift procedures in the outpatient operating room where there is a separate facility fee as well as anesthesia fee. The combination of these fees is on average $2000 - $3500.
Waking up with pain on one side is not overly concerning, though could be should your breast appear markedly asymmetric than previously. One of the most common short-term complications after augmentation mammoplasty (breast augmentation) is a hematoma. So long as your breasts appear relatively symmetric (there is always some asymmetry), breast pain is common an even expected in the first few weeks after surgery.
Eyelid ptosis is when there is attenuation of the levator aponeurosis which is connected to the muscle that suspends your upper eyelids in the natural position above the pupil arcing along the upper iris. There are other causes, though thinning of the levator is the most common. Dermatochalasis can be in either the upper or lower lids and refers to skin excess above or below the eyelid margin. Brow ptosis is when there is descent of the eyebrows towards the upper orbital rim and sometimes falling below the lateral part of the orbital rim. Of note, brow ptosis can contribute to dermatochalasis.Oculoplastic surgeons & plastic surgeons with oculoplastic training can easily differentiate between these three conditions and therefore provide the appropriate treatment.
It is difficult to define a normal amount of scarring after a facelift as people heal differently. It is typical for the preauricular (in front of the ear) scar to heal smoothly as a thin line that changes color from deep red to pink and then tan or slightly lighter than the surrounding skin. I agree with the other surgeons above who answered regarding the postauricular scars occasionally being bumpy or irregular. These will flatten-out and soften with time. Time being 6-8 months. Hypertrophic scarring is rare in front of the ear, though can occasionally happen behind the ear. Keloid scarring is when the thickened, raised scar extends beyond the area of the incision. Keloid scarring has a genetic component and is less common than hypertrophic scarring. With regards to a mini-lift, it is hard to know if there is an increased or decreased risk of abnormal scarring as it would be related, at least in part, to the amount of tension on the skin. The amount of tension on the incision line is directly proportional to the risk of developing a hypertrophic scar. If by mini-lift, you mean a skin only lift, then perhaps there is slightly more risk of hypertrophic scarring than in a SMAS or full lift where the underlying muscle is tightened as well as the skin. Steroid injection can help soften hypertrophic scars.
