For the past couple of years I have noticed bags under my eyes developing. I never had them when I was younger. At first, they were noticeable if I loaded up on carbs/salty foods the night before. But then they became a permanent visitor when I looked in the mirror. Now 48, they stare back at me every. single.day. Ugh!
This is my first post to A) learn how to post my experience and updates and B) any advice for me?

Thursday is the big day. I am so excited I am nervous too, of course. But I feel like I am in great hands.
A friend used Dr. Patrinely a few years ago with great results. Since then I have asked my regular eye doc, my obgyn and my derm and they all have heard of him and gave him great reviews. I am in Houston. He has a practice here and in FL. He is an occuplastic surgeon. I am having a lower bleph with fat transfer. I added before pics (hopefully I do it right). I used to think my issue was eye bags but I have learned it's also my deepening tear trough that is making me look so old and tired. I pray all goes perfect - good vibes appreciated. I will update here as I make progress. This site has been so great for me - I hope to help someone else with my posts.

As expected, hard to look at! LOL All good so far, as expected. Sore but not awful. Icing, icing and more icing! Doing eye drops to keep eyes moistened. Excited to see how everything progresses. Hard to type but will post more detail later. Including pics from yesterday and today. Look sad in my pics but I’m not - jut trying to keep straight face lol

So far so good! I’ve been icing pretty much around-the-clock since I got home from surgery. Today’s the last day to ice. Tomorrow morning I start with heat. Based on other reviews, I anticipated today to be my worse day of swelling. It does feel a little fuller than yesterday.

I switch to warm compresses today. Seeing improvement each morning. No pain really, just stiff, full feeling. Itchiness starting. Been sleeping in a recliner to help with swelling.

Going from red, purple to a very sexy shade of yellow! Looking like a minion at least mean the bruising is working its way out :) Still swollen but improving.

A little better each day. Really looking forward to getting off the Steri-Strips. Bruising is fading. Looking more and more like a minion. :D Still swollen but definitely better than a couple of days ago. I am so fair skinned that the incision lines look super duper red/pink on me. Looking forward to seeing those fade away.

Still swollen, especially my left eye which was worse to begin with. For a while, my lash line area was pretty swollen and puffy to where I felt like it wasn’t up against my eyeballs properly. It wasn’t awful, but I noticed it. That is definitely much better almost back to normal today. Tomorrow I get my stitches out and the Steri-Strips off. I am really looking forward to that!

Went for checkup yesterday. Turns out my stitches are absorbable. Oops I think I may remember being told that. Bummer I really wanted them out. Soooo waiting for them to all break free and get out. Steri-strips gone yay! Under my lash line is still irritated and puffy. Still swollen on both sides at top of cheekbone. Hope those go down soon. Bruising much better each day. I’m doing warm compresses several times a day. It’s supposed to help move out the discoloration. I know it’s only been just over a week, but I’m ready to get back to living life. I can wear eye makeup 2 days after the last stitch. Ooh notice my last two pics I am wearing eyebrows - yay for a little Make-up lol
