Hi, thanks for the question. Your left ear is in a different position to your right but is also a little smaller. It would be possible to perform surgery to get the left ear to look more like the right but not exactly the same and this is very important to keep in mind from the start. With this in mind it is important for you to work out what you would ideally like to achieve. You expectations can then be discussed with your surgeon and what might be achievable.

Split ear lobes, elongated piercing scars and permanent holes are all fairly straightforward to correct. There are techniques used to reduce the chance of scarring and these should be discussed with you at you consultation. Most techniques can be performed under local anaesthetic with minimal discomfort. All the best

It's difficult to say what's happened based on the picture but the wound does look a little irregular. If there is a gap in the scar then perhaps a stitch has come loose. If this has happened then the scar may end up being a little more unsightly. To avoid further excessive scarring then use bio-oil for the next 4 weeks and avoid getting the scar exposed to the sun. Once all of the swelling has gone down and the scar has matured in, say, 2 months time then you could get the scar revised to look better. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately I would say no to surgery if you were going to box after the operation. You would go through quite a big procedure and one punch could undo what you had been through and easily make things worse. I would never recommend contact sports after nasal reconstruction.

Sounds like you are doing all the correct things after your operation. By 4 weeks most people's discharge settles down so this is a little unusual. Someone should have a look inside the nose with a scope and see what the problem is as one or some of the sinuses may have not settled down. It sounds like a course of antibiotics would be a good idea.
