Hi everybody i am 38 yrs old mother of beautiful 18 yr old daughter, ive lost control of my body weight. My actual weight 211, i been trying to lose weight forever and the weight just bounces back. I feel depress everytime i have an event to attend to, i feel so self conscious of my double stomach. I have for ten years try convince my husband to let me have tummy tuck, and needless to say i was unsucessful, i recently made the decision of getting it done wether or not he was in agreement and communicated my decision to him...."to my surprised he asked me to show him my full body , which i hide all the time due feeling ashamed" so in jan 2018 he agrees with me and i started investing all my free time researching for Dr's. I consider Dr. Miami waiting list was to long, they never responded to my request , Dr Dallas 18k i couldnt afford him, and a local Dr. which was over 15k. So i started asking friends, co-workers and they refer me to several good surgeons in mx....OMG !!! mx seriously is that my only option, well my husband gave me a budget less than 8k for tummy tuck, so yes its my only option. My heart was beating out of my chest, i found a good friend of my mom who took me to my consultation in mx Feb 16 2018 with Dr.Jaime Oziel Salcedo Martinez who eval my stomach and flanks giving me an estimate of 4, 300 to do a tummy tuck, pubis lift, lipo of upper back, mid section and lower back including my inner thighs. He has 30 years exp, ive seen his work done and he answer all my questions with no doubt. OMG !! how awesome is that !! so there is a small problem i am prediabetic and he said he would only do surgery if my blood sugar was stable under 100. My Dr here US gave me k, to get surgery and ordered multiples test on 3/22/18, hopefully everything comes out k. So far glucose is stable under 100 with modified diet and several blood and other test came out good pending ekg, and chest xrays on 3/22/18. Dr. Salcedo from monterrey schedule me in for 4/11/18. i have my lifting recliner, toilet seat riser, pending my compression belt and socks.My mom and whole family are terrified of me getting this type of surgery plus to top it of in mx. I cant let this opportunity go, i hate body shape, and having to wear a body shaper all the time except for sleepying. i am so ready , however my sisters and parents made me hesitate about my decision. I am so nervous and scared, i hope i dont die and leave my daughter and husband alone. I want my procedure done already !! cant wait any longer, i hesitated to post this very much posting my body online for everyone to see when i cant be fully naked in front of my husband, yeah!!! very hard decision , but i figured that reading all this stories of individuals i dont even know and seeing what they are going through like me, gives me the strength to continue for my journey change my shape. Updated on 23 Mar 2018: Hello again, i went in for my second consultation with Dr. Jaime Salcedo. i am supposed to pay my surgery by april 6th , to be cleared by april 11, 2018 at 7:30 am. I passed all my exams, and auto -donated blood for my surgery in case i need a transfer, hopefully i wont. (????) i am getting full tummy tuck, pubis lift, lipo of my abdomen with epidural , and upper back, mud, lower , inner thighs and double chin under local anesthesia. i was really hesitant about getting my procedure done this way but after talking to my General Doctor (us) and second consult with him i feel pretty confident abt this procedure being the safest. i cant wait to get this done!! i am debating wether or not to come bck home where i am prepared with everything or stay few days in mx at my moms friends house, which she offer me for my recovery. My surgeon agreed that staying in mx for few days was my best option in case of any medical emergency. i am really nervous abt lipo due to embolisms and deep vein thrombosis since i am in the medical field .....Any of u ladies want share ur experiences !!???? Updated on 2 Apr 2018: Hello i am ready for my surgery , got sick throat infection and bad cough, went see my MD, got prescribed meds she said ill be fine by friday, but i am worried abt not clearing up my mucus cuz of shocking issues....anxiety is kicking in, taking rest pm off from work to rest up and intake fluids....i am nervous of being sick close tp my surgery.....???? Updated on 8 Apr 2018: Hi ladies, so i am over my bad flu, i went to see my Dr twice already for coughing and flem, its super fraustrating to be on a deadline and still cough here and there.I spoke with my anesthesiologist and she said she will check me a day before for any mucus residues to see if my surgery needs to be postponed????????????. Seriously !! i dont want wait any longer!. To top it off i went dr mx to give me a shot to get rid of muscus and whatever he gave me spiked up my glucose which i hope its just for today ive been watching my diet. i am feeling very fraustrated with all the obstacles ive encountered lately, i had 2 pts at work under contact iso, 2 with hair lice, 1 with stomach virus , and the lady that is taking me to monterrey just found out her mom might have leukemia ( god are u trying give me a message )and i have a super poor immune system, i am off till surgery day, i dont want more obstacles. Updated on 11 Apr 2018: Hi everybody, i should have been recoverying from surgery by this time, however with this crazy, bipolar weather got me coughing lot more, and have increase mucus secretion. So i walked in for surgery this morning and the anesthesiologist told me she could hear flem on my right lung, causing surgery to be r/s.....i am back on antibiotics and mucus control. Seriously i need this cough to go away, in the mean time i am enjoying few treats here and there from monterrey, i had the best breakfast tacos every lol....i am hear lose weight not gain ....well anyways the Dr will call me bck tomorrow i feel lot less congested than this morning hopefully it wont be long before my surgery. ???? Updated on 14 Apr 2018: Hello guys i am glad i am posting this update on my journey to my dream come true, flat stomach !!! its been hell of a ride, rollercoaster experience lol, bunch of obtacles to get where i am right now.All my family has been really supportive, my hubby, daughter, everybody, i love u guys with all my heart. Updated on 16 Apr 2018: Hi everyone, i am officially on the flat side, Dr removed 9 litters of fat via lipo, 3 kilos of skin, i am extremely satisfied with my results, my stomach is flat very swollen but flat. I cant wait see the finally results. i took pics of my incision at check up today , but i cant seem to find a way to attach them if its not a direct image, need help???...Dr. salcedo and his team are awesome very attentive, i got surgery sat april 14,2018 i stayed overnight with private nurse, which was awesome. i am walking by myself, slowly, i have little back pain from being little bend forward, but overall its a good recovery. Pain is manageable !!!but again nurses told me i am strong compared to other pts. If anybody knows how i can attach my pics from camera let me know. Updated on 17 Apr 2018: Hi guys heres a little update of my journey. So i got my first shower on my 3rd day which was an experience, i almost fainted right after my shower, my niece and daughter were taking few minutes to change my garments and that really paid a toll on me. So i removed my vest to clean my garments today and man it felt ugly to i think my pressure dropped. Anyways i am scared try shower again. My draining tubes are draining a bunch, i am not leaking from my lipo incisions , my dr left them open. I love my results so far i wake up feeling super slim and go to sleep feeling like a big whale very swollen, so this images are from pm, 11:30. i look big and swell up, but still wanted share pics to show ups and downs. I am supposed have my drains for 10 days but i hope the swelling goes down soon. i dont like the feeling, i can walk by myself but need breaks throughout the day cuz i get bck pain. Updated on 21 Apr 2018: K, so i was finially able to get this pics out of my memory. So i ve been doing super good, better than what expected as far as my recovery and pain level. i guess my Dr gave me really good pain meds. My only bad experience is that the week after my surgery everything broke down, i mean everything, my lap lop, light on my room, door bell ringer, internet,and to top it off my power lift recliner which made it super hard for me to rest. So ive been walking a lot , and resting every 2 hrs during the day, ive had super bad nights where i dont feel comfortable in any position but fortunately its been 8 days since surgery and i feel more independent with selfcare, bathing, changing , light above the waist chores lol, i cant keep still. my leg compression socks are driving me insane at night i want take them off but i still swell up a lot so i am ???? scared of blot clot. Since my draining tubes have gotten clogged with blood clots. Ive been manually desolving and cleaning out the pipes, dr said it was normal but still i am scared to dead of DVT (deep vein thrombosis). my whole family has been really supportive ive had a full house since my surgery, my hubby is coming home soon he is so supportive and excited to see me, he stayed home the week of surgery but i couldnt see him, so now his staying few days with me when he comes bck from work. ????. My showering experience 1st time was horrible i took less than 10 min shower but the changing of my dressings and compression garments was hell, i almosted fainted, 2nd shower was little better but still very light headed, my 3rd shower so far has been the best i think i took to long to get back into my compression garments i blew up like a ???? i got little dizzy ????. I am the type of person thats like shower 2 or 3 times a day due weather south texas. So on my 3rd shower i was able to see my body first time few minutes and didnt get take any pics, i am still very swollen from the top of my abdomen, the kangaroo pooch is gone !!!! yay so happy, i got pubis lift and lipo to my cookie looks weird ( not sure i like how it looks ????????????). its still very swollen like super mega swollen lmao i had a pretty cookie before. I still look little hunch forward not much ! my incision looks healthy, my belly button looks long ( i had prettier belly button). So yeah thats my update i hope u guys find it helpful. i ve been drinking a lot, lot of tea i think that has help me lot ( arnica tea, bay leaves, and camomile tea mix, plus arnica pills ). So here is a pic with my compression garment on since i couldnt take pic without yet, keep in mind i have lots of pads under so i still look bigger than what it really looks. Updated on 29 Apr 2018: Hello Everyone , more of an updated posted i want ask those who had surgery already how long did u all keep ur drains? and how much were u draining before u got them removed? its been 16 days my surgeon is out on vacations since 26th and is not coming bck until 5/15, so my US dr change jobs and no other Dr wants to take me in as their patient for this particular issue of my tummy tuck. So i had go mx with general Dr get my stitches removed, it was really painful i felt Dr didnt know what to do. My surgeon Nurse has been following up with me and based on pics and ml ive reported from my draining tube she has suggested to remove them tomorrow Monday 4/30/18. Ive had chills and the fluid from my granite is thick and cloudy with residues of fatty tissue pretty disgusting !! So any way i am still draining abt 10 ml every 2-3 hrs i am going to follow up with nurse to see what she suggests as far as removing or not, its driving me crazy, cuz i feel its getting pulled all the time and it hurts. I just dont feel safe going just any Dr in mx to pull it out any suggestions ? How abt my compression socks if i take them off i swell up a lot, the swelling in my entire body is crazy am starting peel from swelling going down. Updated on 4 May 2018: Hi U guys i finally got my drain tube out i cant explain how good it feels to be free from my drains. So my swelling has gone down a lot , but i am still very swollen specially my pubis area, i cant fit into any of my cloth still, however i see some results already. i am off pain meds i ocationally get back pain and need to rest between activities, i have poor endurance and feel restless requiring breaks throughout the day, i am now walking in the mornings and afternoon to regain my strength/ endurance. i ve been very active since day one but take lot rest breaks throughout the day. Last night was the first night i slept in my bed all night, i had been trying but only tolerated 2 or 3 hrs and was bck to my recliner. My incision is healing beautifully i love it. i was planning to do scar management and kinesio taping tech but honestly i dont think i am going to need it. My Dr still out of vacations until May 15th my nurse recommended lymphatic messages after 4 to 6 weeks. The area where i had my tube i feels hard i wonder if its liquid accumulation ( hematoma) , i hope not. Well thats it for me ! til next time . Updated on 31 Jul 2018: My recovery was great! Eventhough swelling still happens if i take my binder off, i have a follow up on 9th of august. i am extremely satisfied with my results however i feel my dr didnt pull my stomach as far as i wouldve want to. So here some before and after pics ill repost later again.
I'm 27 with two kids so my body isn't what it used to be. I feel out of love with myself self mostly becuase of the stretch marks so decided to get a tummy tuck. I got to Mexico and had to get a taxi to the hotel the doctor seen me same day and prepared me for surgery the next morning. They sized me for my compression garments and gave me my meds. Next day was surgery I was very nauseated so just came back to the hotel and went to sleep. Next day I got to look at my body and I liked the fact that my tummy was a hole lot flatter but didn't like that I still had a ton of stretch marks. My scar is very straight and the doctor was very nice.
I had a tummy tuck with lipo 4 wks ago in Monterrey, Mexico. Great Dr. But have one small problem I developed fluid 2 wks ago and went to my family practice dr. He said I looked great and did not drain the fluid out. He said my own body would observe it. I still feel some fluid near my incision but also feel it getting hard. I wanted to get a second opinion from a surgeon but i've called a few surgeons around my area and no one wants to see me. What should I do?
