I had a mammogram 12/2 and started feeling ill 1-2 wks after. Body aches, headaches, night sweats, low grade fever. Felt a hollow spot Jan 4; saw Dr Haiavy 1/11; had sx 1/19. Both ruptured! Be Aware..
After 3 c sections and a lot of weight gain and weight loss and then weight gain again I really needed a tummy tuck. I waited for YEARS, because I didn't want to take time and money away from my kids BUT 30 years young I decided it's my turn to feel like a human again. I was sick of the rashes my apron left me with, the pain in my back from zero abdominal support, and the way nothing but mumus fit my very disproportionate body. I found Dr. Haiavy and my life changed. He gave me hope. He showed me what it could look like and what he recommended for my specific body. I was excited but now that it's done I'm so impressed it's even better of an outcome than I had anticipated.
Ok. I am 46 years old and have struggles with my breast size since I was in high school. I found Dr. Haiavy to be 1 of 3 surgeons worldwide who offer a beast augmentation via the belly button using silicon implants. The max implant size for this procedure is 400ccs. I am concerned that they won't look large enough but hoping the outcome will result in me being more satisfied with my breast size. I have always loved the shape of my breasts, I just want them to be bigger. My surgery is scheduled on Thursday, April 28th near LA. I live in Indiana. The entire trip and surgery is very costly. I really hope it's all worth it. Here are some photos of me post surgery. Updated on 27 Apr 2022: Ok. So my surgery is tomorrow at 3pm PST. I traveled from Carmel, Indiana, to see Dr. Haivey. I met Dr. Haivey in person today and I’m very comfortable with him. We took measurements and decided on 405cc moderate profile implants. I’m hoping for a more natural looking augmentation as I just want more fullness in my breasts. I am 46 so an EKG was not required. I got one anyway and the results were normal. I’m excited AND super nervous. However, I believe Dr. Haivey is highly skilled and believe I’ll have awesome results. Updated on 28 Apr 2022: Well today’s the day! I am super nervous but excited. I’ve lived so long as a barely B, I can’t really imagine what it will feel like to be a full C or small D. I’m aiming for 2 cup sizes larger than today. In regards to prep, I woke up and put my compression hose on before getting out of bed. I took an antibiotic last night and a Dramamine. I will take another Dramamine before leaving the house today. I have my bag packed with a warm robe and slippers & some of the prescription meds. I’m rarely in pain so I feel my body is in for a big surprise! I really hope the pain is manageable. If you watch Dr. Haivey on IG you’ll see him explain the TUSBA and how the recovery time is faster due to no cutting on the breast. I’m praying that is my experience. I included more BEFORE photos of my breasts. Updated on 28 Apr 2022: “Home” is in parenthesis because I traveled from Carmel. IN, to Rancho Cucamonga. I have silicon implants now. 405ccs each and moderate profile. When I got there Dr. Haivey and his team explained again what to expect. I was drug tested. BP checked. Received an IV. I was knocked out quickly after receiving the anesthesia. The care team was WONDERFUL! When I woke up I was fully bandaged but I could tell I had bigger boobs! I can’t wait to see them. The pain was unbearable for me. So much that I took a Narco as soon as I got picked up. I was picked up about 30 minutes after waking up from the anesthesia. I woke up about 5:30pm. My mom picked me up a little before 6:00pm. I thought I would be monitored longer post op. The drive back to the Airbnb was less than 10 minutes away. That was very helpful because every bump or groove in the road caused excruciating pain. My right beast had so much more pain and I’m not sure why. It hurt to breathe also. I think the worst is behind me now. I can lift my arms. At this point pain management is most important to me. In addition to the Narco I took ibuprofen and Tylenol. It’s 10:30PST. I walked around the Airbnb twice. At this moment the pain is manageable. I’m experiencing little pain with movement now. However I have more pain and stiffness with my right breast. Things I ate this evening are a plain baked potato, saltine crackers, grapes, popcorn and a banana. None of these things upset my stomach. I was able to sleep well from about 7:30-10:30pm. I don’t feel very tired in the moment after napping so plan to listen to some meditation using my Calm app to get more sleep. I have my first post op visit tomorrow at 8:30AM but am extremely disappointed it isn’t with Dr. Haivey. It is with Dr. Jones who was in the operating room during surgery. I was told all along it would be with Dr. Haivey who performed the surgery. I’ll have my one week post op with Dr, Haivey next Thursday. Dr. Haivey did call me this evening to check on me. I mentioned the binder was rolling up. Pain was manageable. One thing I didn’t mention but will tomorrow is that my right breast seems to be struggling more and looks like it is bigger. I have felt that my right breast before surgery was bigger so hoping my asymmetry isn’t amplified. I don’t know why the right breast is experiencing more pain and discomfort. I am in a post op sports bra and all bandaged up but even through all the wrapping I think my right breast looks noticeably bigger. The bandages come off tomorrow so we shall see. My mom traveled with me and has been my caregiver. Thank God for her!! Updated on 29 Apr 2022: So today I met with Dr. Emma Ryan for my post-op visit. Dr. Emma was very helpful, patient and “matter of fact”. She provided very clear post op instructions. I was very comfortable with her and appreciated the MA as well. Although I can’t recall the name of the MA. Now, I did think I was meeting with Dr. Haivey. However meeting with Emma was fine. All the doctors in the office are kind, knowledgeable & know what they’re doing. Dr Haivey was in surgery. Here are my post-op instructions: All bandages were taken off. I have to wear the sports bra they gave me for 6 weeks and 22 hrs a day. I have a binder over my belly area for 22 hrs a day….until swelling is gone. I can resume regular exercise in 6 weeks. I can go on walks now. I need to sleep in an upright position for 3 more days but need to sleep on my back for weeks. I have to keep my belly button area clean and swab it with Neosporin. No lifting more than 5lbs and keep up with meds. I’m still taking Norco for pain management and using Tylenol or Ibuprofen for break through pain. I can walk around. Move my arms up & down. I was asked to start doing breast exercises. The first one is just lifting the implant and keeping it up for 30 seconds. I was told to do that at least 5 times a day. I’ll get more exercises to do at my one week post op visit. The types of activities I did today were: Rinsing and putting dishes in the dishwasher, folding clothes, brushing teeth, makeup, pulled my hair back. I plan to take a shower tonight. I gave the office permission to post my surgery on their IG page. I’ll provide an update when the story is posted. I’m still taking Norco, Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain. I’m also taking a muscle relaxer (when I’m not taking the Norco). I still feel pressure in my chest. It feels equivalent to pulling a chest muscle. There’s also a little pain with breathing and moving around but nothing that is keeping me down. Now for the breast reveal. They sit high. I expected that. They are swollen too. But I’m hoping not to lose too much volume. My breasts were not twins to begin with and they are not twins now. But they are close enough in size. I have a 445ccs implant on my left side and 405ccs on my right. The implants were moderate profile. I wanted a natural look. I think when they settle I’ll have the look I dreamed of. Feel free to message me with any questions. Im writing this review to help others. Updated on 30 Apr 2022: At this point I feel the need to slow down. When I’m in position such as standing, sitting or laying down in bed, I am fine. Getting up is hard. Getting in position is hard but once situated I’m fine. I’m now managing pain with Ibuprofen every 6 hours and lying off the Narco in hopes of a bowel movement. I have a lot of gas. Being in a car is hard. I asked my mom to drive me to the community pool to get a little sunshine. Every bump in the road is painful. I took my binder off this morning. I can remove it a couple of hours each day. It’s so tight, I know it has to be. When I get out of bed I’ll get more photos. And add pictures of my belly button incision. Because so much fluid is inserted in your tissues for this procedure, I look about 4 months pregnant. I’ll snap a photo without the binder to show how big my belly is. I also wanted to mention that I showered before bed last night. I did have to clean my belly button and apply Neosporin. It felt good to shower but drying off and putting on clothes is hard but I did it! So the day after surgery I was allowed to shower which is great. I was just told to shower from the back because the water hitting the breasts would be painful. I also wanted to report I can eat anything. I haven’t experienced any nausea. Updated on 30 Apr 2022: Just sharing more photos to see the swelling in the abdomen area, belly button incision and breasts. The swelling has gone down in the abdomen area. I still feel quite a bit of pressure in my chest and pain around the belly button area but minimal. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate my pain a 4. Updated on 24 May 2022: I developed a small lump on my right breast but Dr. Haivey said should go away within 6 weeks with heat & massage. I love my results. I am closing in on week 4 and no complications. Belly button is healing well also.
At 49.5 years old, my face is wrinkle free but had started to slide off my skull. Ive spent thousands of dollars on fillers in the last 10 years. The results were varied and were short-lived. I wanted my old jawline back without looking stretched. The first three days of the recovery were rough. I was swollen, bruised and in pain. My amazing doctor reassured me repeatedly that I would have a good result. I am now two months postop and could not be happier. It's me, 10 years ago. No one has commented on the changes to my face. I cut 6 inches from the length of my hair and added bangs and layers. Any changes folks may have noticed have attributed to my new hairdo
Dr. Haiavy is truly a man of art, he definitely takes great pride in his work and it absolutely shows. I could not have been more satisfied with the results of my most recent breast revision/lift surgery. After feeling scared and almost hopeless that I would ever look the same after child birth, Dr. Haiavy did a miracle on me!! I am so happy I found him!! Thank you Dr. for your amazing work.
I always wanted implants, so I went with 520 cc silicone because they fit my body. I looked up many different board certified doctors but I choose one that a friend went to personally! She had gotten saline but since everyone told me if you have the money for silicone then get them!Right now I'm on day two. It literally feels like an elephant is on my chest. But I'm very happy with my results! It's hard for me to get off the couch I need help getting up and getting help getting into and out the car. My first surgery was in 2000 and I chose saline implants, under the muscle. Very pleased with my first set. Two years ago I was working out and ruptured my left implant, it did not deflate fully until 2 years later and I wasn't in a rush for a "redo" because my doctor wasn't concerned due to them being saline and to be frank, I didn't want to spend the extra money. It came to the point where the implant nearly fully deflated and was becoming very sharp so I went ahead and scheduled the surgery. I decided on cohesive gel and went a bit smaller to 616cc this time around. I am very pleased with the result and LOVE the fact the new implants don't have any rippling when I bend at the waist. Updated on 29 Jun 2014: Updated on 29 Jun 2014: Stitches and steri strips are gone, loving the result. So nice to have a pair that match again. Loving silicone! Updated on 30 Jun 2014: Called in today to see if I could resume a light workout and was told by the receptionist not until my next appointment (July 29th). Really?! I'm getting fluffy, my anniversary is coming and I can only go on walk (which I already do). All my progress from my preop is going away, I'm so mad. I'm 3 weeks & 3 days postoperative I don't want to do anything over the top, I simply want to do stairs and abs! *rant over
Hi, My name is Misty I am a 28 year old mother of 3, my son is 7 and I have 2 daughter 5&3. I gained a ton of weight with each pregnancy. When I had my youngest I was just shy of 250lbs. Since then I have worked hard to get to 175lbs. I'm 5'8 and my goal is 150-160lbs. I had 3 C-sections all three had different incisions. I have the sexy apron look going on in the front.(the fat and extra skin that hangs over) I have some hanging saggy boobs also. So I will be having a nice new set of those as well. And a little lipo of the flanks and outer thigh. A total body contour transformation. I am super nervous about the surgery and the recovery but think it will be all worth it. I will post before pics 1 week prior to my surgery. Updated on 5 Mar 2013: My surgery is being pushed back one day. My Doc. is going to be speaking at a conference. I think about having the surgery every day...I know I can handle the pain my biggest fear is not waking up. I have decided to stay at a hotel with my husband the 1st night after the surgery. Don't want to freak my kids out, and I have to see the Doc. the next day. My house is about 45 min away. I have my homework from the Doc. still, I have to go to a store and try on a non padded bra, with the 3 different sizes I like, and I have to do a procedure called "the dip" to determine the volume difference in my boob's, seeing as one is larger then the other... Updated on 27 Mar 2013: Well I have had a crazy few weeks. My husband got a awesome opportunity to move up in his career, but we to relocate. I now live much closer to my surgeon, which is really nice.I had to push my surgery date back a week, so I can unpack, and organize our new home. I am so super excited to go to my pre op on Thursday next week, I think it will make this feel like its really happening. I am so excited!!!!! The amount of money it cost is sinking in for sure, I have never spent anything close to this on just myself. My husband is being really supportive about not making me fell guilty. Also I cant decide on what size implants to get. I have friends who went to big, ones who wish they went bigger.....so I cant decide!!!!????? I will definitely be checking out more of every ones stories on here to better help me prepare. Updated on 1 Apr 2013: Tomorrow is my pre op I am so excited!! It was supposed to be Thursday but my sister in law is having my niece that day. Inland cosmetic is so great about working with my schedule! Gotta go get a big fat cashiers check tomorrow... yikes! I hope it all well worth it! I have to do a dip test tonight to determine the volume difference of my boobs, that should be entertaining. I am going to write down a list of questions to ask and make notes while I'm there about things I will need for after. If anybody has any awesome tips I would sure love to hear...... Updated on 2 Apr 2013: I had my pre op today! Wow it was a lot of info. I am so anxious....They did my before pics, what a humbling experience, made me all the more excited to get my body all beautified! My surgery is all paid for now it's just getting the prescriptions filled a few after care items and make sure the house is ready, turn the down stairs into my living quarters for a week. I AM SOOOOOOOOOO FREAKIN EXCITED. I don't think I am going to be nervous till the night before/morning of. Going to post before pics on Monday. I am also excited to spend this Sunday taking the kids to Disneyland... :0) Updated on 6 Apr 2013: Just posted 1 week before pics, can't believe I am doing this, but I also can't wait to post the after pics! Updated on 7 Apr 2013: I am seriously confused about implant size. I want a nice full C. I was given 2 different options for implant size. 420cc, 250cc, and 475cc. I thought I was going to go with the 420cc but now a week out from surgery I am thinking I won't b big enough with that size. does anyone have any ideas on how to decide. It's a behind the muscle also.... running out of time to decide. Also I went and tried on swim suit bottoms, to bring in and show the Doc. for incision guidelines......let's just hope and pray this surgery can b a total miracle, cuz the bottoms are so not gonna happen if it ain't! Updated on 12 Apr 2013: Just talked with my PS office, I have to be there at 6:45 am Monday morning. HOLY COW....this is really happening, so freaking excited! Trying not to be nervous but I think that's just a given. It's crazy how many thoughts go through your head when you are just a couple days out from surgery. I really hope it all turns out good. I trust my PS but u just never know. It better be worth the $$$!!!! If I complain about my body after this is all said and done my husband will freak out! He can't wait for me to be happy with my body. All the stress of this made me start late, so now I have that going on right now, so just imagine what my emotions are like.....Gonna b a long couple days. Updated on 12 Apr 2013: So, I just realized my husband is the best man in a wedding exactly 1 month after my surgery. I usually heal pretty fast and have high hopes to with this surgery. Anybody have any info on where they were 1 month out???? Updated on 14 Apr 2013: I am so freaking out! Can't believe it's happening tomorrow!! I can't wait for it to be done, so I can stop being nervous about surgery and just get through recovery. Gonna go get my bags packed so I can take that off my list of things to worry about! Updated on 14 Apr 2013: Well the time has come.....I am so ready to b done with surgery! Please let me get a few hours of sleep. Good night! Updated on 18 Apr 2013: So I am 3 days PO. Everything is going pretty good, considering what I have put my body through. The pain has been manageable. I am just very sleepy. The surgery went great, they predicted I was going to be under for around 7.5hours. It only took 6. Very strange feeling walking into the OR looking around and then being woke up in recovery. I got to peek the next day, when my PS took the bandages and garment off to check everything out. I think it will all look amazing when the swelling is gone and my new boobies settle down and soften. I was told they took 2.5lbs of loose skin, and they took about 1000cc's of fat when the did the lipo. I have a 450cc implant in my left side and a 510 in the right side. I liked the look of the 420, so they said I needed to go with the 452 since they were going behind the muscle. I can't wait to get rid of the 2 drains, those r a pain! I will post pics in the next couple days. Updated on 19 Apr 2013: So I haven't used pain meds since 9pm last night, not bad considering I was only 3 days PO. I had to break down and take some this evening around 5. Mt back hurts so bad!! The gas pains I have are excruciating. I have only been able to pass gas 2x's. So frustrating, does anyone have any advise or tips for me. I have been on stool softeners since day one. Anything advise would b helpful! Updated on 20 Apr 2013: Slept really good last night, Still have bad gas, no #2. I just drank some smooth move tea, really hoping that will clean me out. I am so swollen, my PS said he promises it will subside and it will be flat. I trust him, I hope it doesn't take too long. All I know is it's already 100x's better then B4. If all it's gonna do is getter .....then I know I will say 100% worth it. Updated on 23 Apr 2013: 8 days PO... I am feeling great, can't believe I am only one week PO and doing so well. No more pain meds, just the swelling. I went to my one week PO visit and had the tape replaced and one drain removed. That was awesome, I will get the other one out along with most of my stiches removed on Monday of next week. I am so not liking the be patient the swelling will go away. Doc says they will not do measurements or pics until around 6 weeks, because by then about 70% of swelling should b gone. Very happy to be doing as well as I am! I will post new PO pics tomorrow. Updated on 25 Apr 2013: 10 days PO. WOW! I am thinking I should NOT have stepped on the scale! I am 10lbs heavier then before surgery! I really really hope it's all swelling, I was expecting to be about the same weight, not heavier. Crazy! I swear I should have a nursing baby or something, I get the feeling off and on all day of that engorged your milks here and leaking, I have actually checked several times to make sure I am not leaking....so weird! I am feeling better today, besides the scale scare. Happy to b one day further into recovery. Updated on 25 Apr 2013: Has any one ever had "burning mouth syndrome" from getting dry mouth because of pain meds or possible trauma to inside of mouth from the local anesthesia?? I love spicy food! Ever since surgery I haven't been able to eat anything spicy, when I went to brush my teeth I felt like I was using acid to clean them! Hurts so bad! Updated on 30 Apr 2013: I am 2 weeks PO..... Yesterday I got my drain and stiches removed, soooo happy about that! Can't really complain about anything, OTHER then the lovely swelling. I wont even post a side view pic because it's ridiculous. The nurse told me yesterday the hardest part of recovery is waiting. Next Wed, I am going to have the ultrasound done to help with the swelling, I knew this would b an issue for me, it has my whole life. I have been wearing a maxi skirt for like 2 weeks now, just not comfortable in my clothes yet. I am excited to shop for a dress next week to wear to a wedding in Carmel, although I may not be in a smaller size yet, My shape is so much better. Under my right boob is way more swollen then the left, gonna talk with Doc about this, I hope it will all b ok. I hope everyone is happy and doing well! I am posting my 2 week pic also.
So after consulting with different drs and talking to friends and family , I decided to go with Dr.Haiavy in Rancho Cucamonga! He specializes in the procedure named TUBA ! And that's what I'm getting, he's going in through belly button. I'm currently a size 36B and hoping to be a DD after my 450cc saline implants ! I'm 5'4 and weigh 145
So I’ve wanted to get my breasts done since high school. I’ve always been teased my family members of having a smaller chest. The women in my family have very wide breasts as well as low breasts. So with that being said, I have inherited my chest from them. I do not like how low they are. I feel like my breasts are so much smaller than a C. Even though the PS said I measure at a C cup, he said that because my breasts sit so low it will seem as though I have a smaller chest. I’ve gone to many PS over the past couple months, as I have finally decided to begin the process of a breast aug. I finally found a doctor that I am very happy and pleased with. They gave me take home sizers to play around with to figure out how many cc’s I want. Since I already have a C cup, I’m afraid of over doing the implant as I do have a small frame. I am doing Natrelle Inspira Silicone HP under the muscle. The doctor gave me a range of 390cc, 420cc & 450cc. I also have my wish pics that I showed the PS. He said everyone’s breasts are different and that it would be hard to have the identical look as someone else. With that being said, I just want to make sure that I can achieve the cleavage that my wish pics shows as well as gain some fullness at the top of my breasts. Any suggestions on picking a size? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you, xoxo Updated on 10 Jan 2018: I had my BA on 01/04/18. Everything went as smoothly as possible. No anxiety until being rolled back into the operating room. Minimal pain after waking up from anesthesia, more so discomfort. Day 2PO was the toughest. I had my post-op appointment to remove the bandages. My sternum and back were very sore. My chest was so tight that I felt like I had 50lbs on my chest. Norcos & ibuprofen were rotated every 4 hours for the first 3 days! My muscles relaxers were what provided the most relief as well as the heating pad for my back! I found it was most comfortable to sleep on my recliner. Swelling was moderate. Day 3PO was better. It was the last day I took my norcos. I switched to just 600mgs of ibuprofen wit flexeril at night before bed. My muscles felt tight still and less pain. Day 4PO & Day 5PO nothing had really changed besides less pain & swelling. I did go buy size L stretchy sports bras from target because my surgical was putting too much pressure on my incisions causing them to ache. Switching bras has helped alleviate that! Also have not taken any ibuprofen and going to try not to take muscle relaxer tonight :) Updated on 10 Jan 2018: Today has been a little tougher than the past 2 days. As the numbness is beginning to go away, I am feeling more pain & sensitivity in my lower breast around my incisions & nipples. Overall still feeling good.
If not neutralised correctly, glycolic acid peels can, and often will, result in a skin burn. That is why I strongly recommend working only with an experienced physician or licensed medical aesthetician working under MD supervision. Often, the burn and resulting scar is temporary, but sometimes it can result in darker pigmentation in the area that may require further treatment.
