I am a 30 year old Mother of 2. I've had 2 c sections and after the first one had to have another surgery where they reopened my incision and sewed me up on the inside again. I thought going into this that I would be fine. I am on day 4 of recovery. This has been the absolute worst pain I've ever encountered. Way worse than any c section. I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and went from a small 32b to a 32d. I got 350 cc of saline implants under the muscle. I am 115 lbs and 5ft1. I almost didn't get the Experel because I thought I could handle the pain and save almost 500 dollars. My nurse changed my mind and I'm very thankful she did. My doctor was great and his whole team is amazing. The first night I could not sleep and was in so much pain. The 2nd day was better. I finally got sleep. I'm a stomach sleeper so this was hard to get used to. My left boob was in excruciating pain on day 3 and was burning and was hurting 247. I saw my doctor who told me I could take off my bra. I did that and also took ibprufen. It has helped alot. My stomach hurts but not too bad at all. I'm walking hunched and my back hurts but I'd say in a few days I think I can straighten. I have been second guessing myself and asking why did I do this? But I know I'll be grateful once I see results and don't hurt like this. I thought I'd go back to work a week after my surgery but I now know I will take a full 2 weeks. Once again my doctor was great and his whole team. They're there for you throughout the whole thing. I thought pooping was gonna be scary and wouldn't eat the first 2 days. I tried miralax and wow. It made it easy. I'm eating normal and drinking tons of water. I go up and down the stairs and walk as much as possible. I would say this surgery is worth it and the pain is just something that comes with it. Definitely get the experel if that's a choice. I can't imagine what it would be like without it !
I found Dr. Bishop to be caring, kind, very capable, and thorough in every regard. He did the reconstructive work on my nose, my mini-facelift, and most recently my upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyes). He is good at what he does and has a great bedside manner. You really couldn't ask for a better doctor.
I went to this office for some surgeries. They are amazing! Dr Bishop takes the time to listen and make sure he knows exactly the results you are looking for....he makes you feel so comfortable and his nurse is also fantastic. She went above and beyond to help accommodate scheduling my surgery. The results are everything I wanted!! Beautiful work by Dr Bishop! The entire process has been perfect and I highly recommend this practice.
I’m 34 and have the wrinkles to prove it. I love that Dr Bishop did not push me to have a ton of Dysport done or let me get undereye fillers before seeing what the Dysport would be able to do for me! I had a small bruise from it but next time will take arnica in the week preceding so I’m less likely to have that happen!
I have the world’s thinnest lips and as I’ve gotten older, I’m just sick of settling for what I’ve got. Might as well improve what I can while I’m still relatively young! Dr Bishop talked to me about all of my concerns (undereye bags, wrinkles, and lips) and I asked some questions about fillers for nasolabial folds and marionette lines. He didn’t try to oversell me at all. He said he’d rather start with a half syringe of Restylane since I could still get the other half at a later date, and said I really don’t need the undereye fillers and facial fillers I had asked about. I really appreciate that he was honest, and didn’t make me feel like I’m a hideous troll who needs an entirely new face! The swelling and pain after the lip fillers lasted less than 24 hours and weren’t severe. I could still eat and talk just fine. I got a small bruise from the Dysport under my eyes and a tiny bruise near my glabellar lines (11’s). Next time I’ll take some arnica for the days leading up to it and see if that helps!
Entire staff were wonderful! I felt comfortable through the entire process. I elected not to have anesthesia and I received pain medication before I left, but he did such a good job I didn't even need a Tylenol! And the results are amazing.
So far Happy Happy. Day 1,6:00am, taking my medicine most definitely every 4hrs , not feeling any pain since the surgery, this wrap is rather tight but before I take it off I have about 3 more hours and Im calling my Dr to see can I take it off for awhile or perhaps for good.Well this med is telling me it's time to get some zzzzzz
Dr. Bishop is so so sweet! He made sure I knew everything that was going on. He wanted to make sure that I am happy with my nose. I am so glad that I did this. Everyone at Dr. Bishop's was so helpful. I had a great experience at St. Francis everyone was so nice. I called the office probably everyday with any questions big or small they answered them right away. I love my nose!
I went in for a consultation to have my 32DDD reduced to eliminate back pain. The doctors office turned in the request to my insurance and once everything was approved I was scheduled. Returning to work has been a chore (multiple notes needed by my employer) Dr Bishop and his staff have been wonderful! They are all extremely helpful and nice.
I have posted reviews under breast reduction, but had a TT too! I wanted to share my story here to help those considering this cause this site helped and continues to help me! I had a breast reduction and tummy tuck on Dec. 16th. I am 40 YO mother of two (6 and 10). I'm short so with big boobs and a big belly, well, there just isn't enough room in my pants for tucking all that in! Lol. My surgery went well, the first thing I remember is looking down at my chest and trying to tell how big they were! My breasts didn't hurt at all, the tummy was another story! Hurt like hell the first couple of days, but I learned how to put pillows under me and behind me to make getting up easier. The only problem I've had and continue to have is bladder problems. I couldn't pee once they took the catheter out for almost 8 hrs. Ended up with a bladder infection. Still having problems and will talk to my family doctor about seeing urologist to see what the deal is. I wish I'd rented the lift recliner like some did, but I survived. My husband was in support of all of this and was a pretty good nurse! They took 2.4 lbs off each breast and 4.5 lbs off the tummy. I just love looking in the mirror now compared to what I used to. I'm still swollen, but can get back into my clothes I was wearing before the surgery. I will say my energy still sucks, but I'm working on that every day! Keep walking, take vitamins, eat well, drink lots of water, it'll be fine! Updated on 11 Jan 2014: Went back to work this week. First day I was exhausted, but it got better each day. I would get sore around some of my incision areas but that was just from moving around. The best part was everyone telling me how amazing I looked! It felt so good and I sure look in the mirror more! Some friends have shown a real I interest in the tummy now that I've survived and I can honestly say I'd do it 10 times over again!
