I have had two vaginal surgeries with Dr. Percec, and each time I got amazing results. I suffered extreme trauma to my vagina both internally and externally which resulted in chronic pain, deformity, and a loss of sexual sensation. Dr. Percec did one surgery in November of 2016 and another in March of 2019, involving fat transfer to the outside area of scar tissue, and tightening the muscles of the inside of vagina. She’s greatly reduced my pain, improved the function of my vaginal muscles, and made the appearance nicer. Dr. Percec came highly recommended by my gynecologist and she really listened to what my problems and concerns were. I was in the best of hands and my results speak for themselves. She’s fantastic.
Great thus far! I met with several doctors in the area about breast augmentation and and a scar revision, and Dr. Percec really listened to me at the consult. She suggested we go over the muscle because of my athletic lifestyle and explained what she'd do to my scar. The other doctors told me under the muscle, and not to touch the scar! When I raised the concern that you'll see all over the internet, that submuscular "looks more natural and have less risk of capsular contraction," she allayed my concerns and discussed all the things she does to prevent biofilm-- bacteria that is thought to cause contracture. She also suggested that in Europe, doctors more frequently go over. And then she told me about motion deformity.... which seems a bigger risk for me. We spent time debating size.. in the office and then me with her nurse practitioner over the phone. I was leaning for smaller and she said everyone wakes up and wishes they went bigger. I said, "not me!" She then suggested a range that is proportional to my very straight, tall frame and I insisted she go for the lower end of that range in the operating room. The office provided me with a vitamin and supplement regimine, creams of every kind and sillicone strips. They respond quickly to calls and emails. I had my surgeries one week ago and it was easy, and I went home just on Motrin. Pain free in two days, other than the sensation of very stretched skin and an occasional twinge if I reach too high. Going subglandular is an easy recovery. I went with 360 cc sillicone, subglandular, smooth round mentor moderate profile. They look great ... in line with other early post-op photos here. I don't have the guts to post full on shots, sorry. In the end, after taking the bandages off.. she was right, I probably could have gone bigger. Ha! I love them anyway and am happy I took the plunge. (My big scar looks much better too but I won't share that image). Updated on 31 Dec 2018: So I have to admit, when I first took off my bandages I cried because they looked like swollen grapefruits stuck on my chest. But in about one week, they started looking better and I think I was feeling a lot better physically so the emotions settled down. But I was still worried because they didn't move at all...no give, no way I'd have cleavage. By the second week, they got much softer and moveable, and I realized what a great job my surgeon did. The nipple placement is great and the incisions look good. Today, three weeks post-op, I love them and started trying on clothes. Exciting!!!. I nearly threw this suit away because I didn't really fill it... glad I didn't!!!! Can't wait to buy some more! Thank you Dr. Percec!
After losing over 100 pounds and a tummy tuck/breast lift in 2008 it was time to get rid of the bingo/bat wings. I was so tired of having to buy shirts that fit my 3x arms but not my L body. The doctor who did my TT and BL retired so I searched for a new one and found Dr. Ivan's Percec at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania. She lipo'd over two pounds of fat and remove over a pound of skin from each arm! I came home with Ace wraps, but no drains, could shower after two days and each day showed more and more progress. I'm still sore at the incision and a bit from the lipo, and am wearing compression garments 24/7 but I'm very pleased with the results! Updated on 29 Jul 2016: I'm at week 7 post-op. Still wearing compression sleeves 24/7, except yo shower. Still gave a few weepy spots from spit stitches being pulled and snipped by surgeon last week. I'm very pleased. Updated on 7 Sep 2016: I'm three months post-op and very happy with my results.
Ivona filled my small lips with 2 mls and then dissolved using again way too much. It has gone systemic and my whole body has been affected. The past year and a half have been a nightmare with no help.
I went to see Dr. Percec for female-to-male top surgery (breast reduction and nipple grafting). It seemed like she treated my surgery like a breast reduction for a cis-woman rather than creating a masculine chest shape like she said she was going to. My chest is still at least a B or C cup and I have huge, protruding nipples. I talked to her afterward and she claimed that the surgery she did for my nipples was exactly how it was supposed to be and that it was normal for top surgery. I told her that I'd personally been with several friends who got top surgery whose doctors were able to create flat nipples with a tiny bump in the middle. She said that my friends (like, dozens of them), all must have had a different procedure. I told her that if she couldn't do that procedure, she needed to warn patients. She said that her procedure was the only one possible, and that it wasn't possible that my friends had gotten the procedure that they actually had! Like, she basically said that I was lying about my friends results--even when I showed her pictures on my phone--because I hadn't seen their medical records. Then she told me that it was my fault because my nipples were an unusal size. (This is definitely false--I'd say they were a very average size for a female before, and are still that same size after the surgery.) Both the operation itself and the way she talked to me afterward were horrible.
