A year plus ago, I underwent Gynecomastia surgery with Dr. Puah, a decision I'm grateful for. His thorough explanation, knowledge, and passion for aesthetics, not just medical aspects, stood out. He didn't just treat my Gynecomastia; he crafted a new me, boosting my self-esteem. Special thanks to Lulu for her encouragement and assistance in processing my insurance, despite initial challenges. The excellent care, both before and after surgery, was remarkable. Lulu generously provided extra complimentary treatments, acknowledging persistent swelling in my left chest. This gesture, along with their commitment, speaks volumes about the exceptional care they offer. I highly recommend Amaris B. Clinic for their outstanding services and friendly atmosphere.
I have been going to Amaris B Clinic for a few years now and every visit has been an excellent experience. I have tried a variety of treatments and what impresses me most is Dr Phua’s skill and expertise in determining and delivering results for each procedure I undertake in his clinic. In particular, I am extremely pleased with the fat transfer procedure done by Dr Phua. From saggy postpartum breasts, I now have firmer and fuller breasts. Both pre and post care for my surgery have been amazing due to the wonderful staff at Amaris B. Appreciate the immediate response, follow-up and service rendered!
I used to weigh 98 kg, 173cm lost 15 kg during the 2 years of NS (Ah Boys to Men!). Am fitter now but the irritating bulge on my chest hangs there still like loose boobs and especially obvious when I wear shirt. Seeing that I’m upset and don’t know what to do with it, my gf told me to see doc and find out what’s wrong. I first saw Dr Ivan Puah and was diagnosed with gynecomastia that will need surgery. Dr Ivan Puah was candid about my condition- that the chest will be flatter after surgery. With tightening treatments, the loose skin will improve but still can't reverse 100% back to a no-loose skin state. I was quoted $6K+ . I did not sign for the treatment immediately, instead went for consultation with another doctor at Orchard for comparison. The doctor promised to flatten it by lipo only as he doesn’t do gland removal. The loose skin can be further treated with Thermage which costs me another $4K plus on top of the procedure, total about 12K+. The consultation was less informative TBH and the doctor was in a hurry to leave. (Where to?) Anyway, two weeks later, I went back to Dr Ivan Puah and did the procedure with him. Recovery was quick; I went back to work 2 days after, and had the compression garment on me day/night. The results show that I made the right decision to go with Dr Ivan Puah. His nurses are helpful and reassuring, which helps a lot too.
I suffered from puffy nipples & swollen chest for many years. Found Dr Ivan Puah online, went for a consult, and had the procedure done last year Nov. He showed me the glands removed & before & after pics. I had completed my follow ups with the clinic. It is almost 8 months, chest is flatten & I have been applying the scar gel given by the doctor. It's healing ok. Recovery time was manageable. The nurses were also helpful. I paid $5885 for my surgery. Overall the surgery experience was better than I expected.
After giving birth to two active sons, one now 5 and the other 3, i dropped a lot of weight, and I went from a B+ to a A-(almost flat with droopy nipples) . Decided to go ahead with the procedure at Amaris B. Clinic after consulting Dr Phua. I was told by the doc to be realistic with the results, if I am hoping for more than a cup size increase, then silicon implant will be a better option (which he will recommend me to have it done by plastic surgeons). Results from fat transfer are more natural smaller scar, but results wise, will not be as "impressive" as silicon implant. Dr Phua didn't try to sell me into doing the treatment, rather it is a very "matter-of-fact" kind of consultation discussing my options. To be honest, it wasn't cheap compared to going to Thailand or Korea, but as a SAHM, I don't have the luxury to travel overseas to do it as I have to look after my boys. I am also concerned about the complications and care if I were to do overseas. The breasts were huge the first week, and I can feel the tightness and discomfort on the breasts. The size went down a bit few weeks after. Few things not to do/to do after the surgery: no swimming or water activities and sauna for a few weeks, have to wear a well fitted bra. The scar healed well. Stitch was removed on 11th day after the surgery. Dr said the fat retention may be only about 60 to 70% after the swelling comes down vs silicon implant in which the size is going to be there. I have the option to "top -up" and increase the size if I want to in future, but for now, i am happy to make do with my B cup. Personal take: Not cheap compared to Thailand or Korea but worth it. Satisfied with the result. Doc is professional and patient, no hardsell. Friendly & helpful staff, went back for 3 reviews with my two boys tagging along, and they helped me to look after them. Updated on 18 Apr 2017: I am planning for 2nd round of fat grafting. Should I or should I not go? Happy with the first round results but now, am hoping for more. Should I go for silicon this time or fat grafting again? Hmmm
Its my fifth visit to Amaris B located at Arab St Singapore. I had first become Dr Phua's patient when he was first located at China Square. Have been getting my facial fat grating done with him, initially for my eye bags and subsequently for cheek and chin enhancement. His service and professionalism as an asethetic doctor has apparently declined over the past 8 years (I would see it as an arrogance as his business gets better) Having said that, his fees has also significantly increased over my past visits of which I wouldn't have batter an eyelid if his service is well-worth my bucks. Unfortunately, it isn't so. My most recent visit was in Dec 2014 to rectify my gaunt sunken cheeks. He was all too eager with promises to rectify my problem and restoring my youthful cheeks for the price of SGD$3500 for 3 sections of my face, namely my tempers, the area next to my ears and under my eyes. After the swelling went down in 1 and a half months, whatever that was left was extremely disappointing. Dr Phua was immensely reluctant to do a second touch-up (which is FOC for all you guys who know about fat grafting procedures) and I had to practically "beg" him for it. During my second touch-up, I had to even point out to him an area (just below my cheekbone) which he, as a professional, have neglected and should have pin-pointed to me during my first procedure that fat should have been grafted to that section of my face in order to restore a certain degree of youthfulness. He was extremely short and curt during my second touch-up (as it was FOC and he had the kind of attitude that says it was a waste of his time and he just wanted to "get-it-over-and done-with"). As a regular customer for the past 8 years, his service has just deteriorated over the years. So that did it, it would be my last visit to his clinic. For SGD$3500 only for 3 portions of my face (this is going to again significantly increased due to new regulations in Singapore; there will be a price hike of another 1.2k at least come March 2015), I will have to bring my fat grafting procedure to Seoul in another 1.5 to 2 years. All you girls out there contemplating getting your facial fat grafting done by Amaris B, think again. What's the deal with having to "beg" your asethetic doctor for a 2nd touch-up (which you clearly deemed deserve after having paid a hefty 3.5k) It's like pocketing your money and delivering results way below your expectations.
Horrible scarring and insufficient gland removal requiring revision surgery. Surgery cost 6000. For this pricing, i would recommend a board certified plastic surgeon instead of someone pretending to be one.
These are nasolabial lines. People with prominent cheeks tend to have deeper nasolabial lines than those who don't. Filler is still the first option to treat these folds. New injecting techniques will not only improve the folds but will also provide facial skin lifting and offer you better results.
It appears from your photo that you may benefit from fillers. Not only are fillers effective in reducing facial lines/folds, they are also extremely useful when used for facial skin lifting. A combination of different fillers with proper injection technique will help to: -lift your the cheeks, reduce the nasolabial and Marrionette lines and lift the jowls as well. Best regards,
From your photos, it could be due to several possibilities: - Post filler injection swelling. Depending on the types of fillers used and the depth of the injection, sometimes swelling can be visible and palpable 1-2 days after. Swelling will usually subside within the next 1-2 weeks. - Bruises or hematoma. There will be patches of green or purplish discoloration. They will resolve spontaneously in 1-3 weeks. - Too much fillers being injected. Unlike swelling, they usually felt more lumpy and hard. Depending on the types of fillers used, they could last for months or even years. You may need to consult a doctor to dissolve or remove them. Best Regards, Dr Ivan Puah
