The answer is yes! 
Age is just a number! Some of my patients have gone longer without intercourse and are now able to preform today. From this question I assume that you are a happy healthy 80 year old. Therefore if you so desire by all mean pursue treatment. I know that you will see benefits and improvements.
 

Different people might have different response times. Some patients see some degree of improvement as early as their first treatment but I have had some that didn't respond until their second. By the time that therapy is completed most patients have seen almost 90% improvments.  It also may depend on what your main complaint might have been. The symptoms surrounding Vaginal Atrophy are many and varied including but not limited to burning with urination, urinary leakage, painful intercourse, thin vaginal skin with bleeding, vaginal dryness even loss of orgasmic function. Most patients get improvement with many or all of these complaints using MLT if the underlying problem is vaginal atrophy. However many of these symptoms can also be cause by other underlying diseases eg UTIs, fibroids and others.
My suggestion is that you first finish your therapy. You could just be one of those slow responders!
If you definitely don't feel any improvement after you have completed I recommend that to go see a doctor to be worked up for possible other causes. Again this would vary depending on what your main compliant might be.
The one thing that I know for sure is that for the right patient Mona Lisa touch therapy works.

It depends on what may be causing you to have reoccurring or chronic bladder infections or if it is an infection at all.
That is to say some patients with Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) may chronically experience problems that mimic bladder infection like sensations. Patient may experience burning with urination and feel like they might have acquired an infection when in reality they might just be having irritation from having an atrophic vaginal lining. 
Bladder infections are only truly diagnosed with a positive culture. While there are a lot of reasons why people can get bladder infections certainly GSM can contribute to women getting infections more easily. Therefore by getting treatment to fix the GSM this could indeed help cure certain patients that get true frequent and/ or chronic  bladder infections. Of course if someone has other extenuating circumstances that would encourage chronic infection such as needing to do frequent catherizations, structural or obstructive abnormalities then MLT therpay would not necessarily help this such person. And would possibly need to have more done to fix the problem.
Either way I would recommend that you get a complete evaluation by a physician that does Mona Lisa therapy to see if this treatment would be appropriate in your individual circumstance.

To properly answer this question I believe that I would want to get some further information.
What is the time period since you have completed your therapy? My patients report continued improvements weeks after treatment. Some even notice improvement in areas that they were not aware was a problem e.g urinary leakage.
That leads me to your 45% feeling of improvement. Is this improvement from painful intercourse? Or was it from mainly dryness? Was it urinary leakage? If painful intercourse is it then I would then question if it was with insertion vs deep?  This detailed history would help your doctor further understand your problem and could maybe tailor your therapy to further improve your symptoms. There is a role for re-treatment if needed but as far as I know this should only be needed on a certain percentage of patients that feel like their symptoms are coming back. This may happen after years of relief. If needed patient recived a one time touch up treatment.

Before this type of technology unfortunately there wasn't very much offered in terms of treatments for this problem outside of lubrication creams and estrogen replacement. These therapies seemed to work with some success for some people but as with everything did not fix the problem for everyone or left out people that this was contraindicated for e.g Brest Cancer survivors cant take estrogen. In comes new advances like selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) like Osphenia and this helped a few more people. However, using different types of energies be it CO2 fractional laser i.e Mona Lisa Touch, radio frequency or heat to regenerating the vaginal lining is indeed a novel approach that does not leave people out of the treatment loop and seems to be showing great results.
Long story short, Mona Lisa Touch is very much so an effective treatment modality to treat Vulvovaginal Atrophy and many of the other problems that it comes with. The procedure in painless and quick requiring no anesthesia.
Patient see changes in as quick as one week but will require three treatments six weeks apart to gain full benefit.
While this therapy is new. It is too early to tell how long the improvements may last. If is does go away it is as simple as getting one other treatment.
