Vampire Facial in San Jose

If someone would have told me that they were going to draw my blood, spin it in a centrifuge, and then use the platelets and a roller full of needles on my face, I would have told them that they were nuts. But I had this procedure done by Dr. Grace Kim of ShotDocMD in San Jose last week. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I can tell you this: 1) It wasn’t painful or even too uncomfortable, but it wasn’t a massage, either; there are needles going into your face 2) It felt kind of good to have the platelets put on 3) It took about an hour, with very pleasant conversation with Dr. Kim 4) I never saw blood, nothing dripped on me, and I had no bruising 5) When I saw myself in the mirror immediately after, my skin looked smooth and shiny, but all my facial scars were more pronounced. And I thought, “Well, that was something that happened.” THEN.... A week later, and OH MY GOD. My skin was amazing. Wrinkles were gone. Old scars were gone. My skin felt like it did when I was a teenager (and I’m now 56). People were making comments about how rested and glowing I looked. I’m told that you don’t see the full effect of a PRP Facial for two weeks. What? You mean there’s MORE? I can’t wait to see. At one week post procedure, I am already floored. Don’t let the “vampire” name scare you. That’s just marketing. This is exciting, effective technology and I want to get these forever. Dr. Kim, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
