It has been difficult to find words that describe the thanks and respect I have for Dr. Austin and the skillful, compassionate way she has handled my surgical journey. During the entire process, I always felt safe, comfortable and treated as if I was her only patient. I have the same thanks and respect for her supporting staff, always ready and happy to guide my wife and I through the process. I certainly hope I will not need to take this journey again, but, if I do, I will not hesitate to put myself in Dr. Austin’s hands again. Thank you, thank you!
Dr. Austin exemplifies what a doctor should be. My experience has been excellent. Her assistant Inbar is kind and professional, and Dr. Austin is a miracle worker. Quick backstory. I had a mass growing under my right eye for approximately 10 years. It was misdiagnosed several times with one failed attempt to remove it. Dr. Austin was the first doctor that did not quickly assume what the problem was. She took her time studied and examined my face and figured out what my problem was. She then explained her plan to remove it. On surgery day she explained it to me again. Then spent 3 1/2 hours removing this complicated mass. My scar is virtually invisible! Dr. Austin is the real deal. No ego, direct, and very talented. I’m so glad I found her and you will be too.
Dr. Austin is amazing. I’ve been receiving care at her office for Botox (in my jaw for tmj and my forehead for wrinkles) for over a year now. I also underwent submental liposuction here recently. The procedure was super easy with very minimal downtime. Dr. Austin and Inbar made sure that I was comfortable before, after and during the procedure. I’m so thrilled with the results! Dr. Austin is a compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled physician. I can’t recommend her enough!
Dr. Austin is an incredibly knowledgable and caring doctor. When I saw her for Botox, she helped me feel comfortable and listened to me to make sure I would get exactly what I wanted! I am SO happy with my results! Updated on 29 Apr 2019: This is a short video of my experience with Dr. Grace Kim Austin at her Northridge location. It was a quick and comfortable procedure and I am so happy with my results! Will definitely be coming back.
I visited Dr. Austin for wrinkles around my mouth. I am so satisfied! I am happy with the results. Before the treatment, I looked serious when I did not intend to due to wrinkles and aging. After filler, I feel more like myself again
Thank you for your question and photo. The small pit in the skin on your forehead may be treated by excision. You may trade the pit for a small scar that will likely be hardly noticeable after proper healing. If it bothers you, I recommend you seek a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon.
Thank you for your question and photo. Congratulations on undergoing treatment for skin cancer! I believe it is too early to determine your expectant result which may take as long as 6 months to 1 year. Based on the photo, it appears that the wound has early healing changes. You are applying appropriate treatment including gentle massage and silicone. You may find silicone gels easier to use. I recommend silicone gels with a little steroid (example: biocorneum) for scars with appearances similar to yours. I also highly recommend you apply sun block with either zinc or titanium, as it will help reduce the discoloration associated with the healing scar.
This is a common issue patients who underwent rhinoplasty surgery report. I recommend use of nasal saline sprays (every hour you are awake) as well as use of a humidifer. Picking crusts from your nose is discouraged, but I do recommend regular post operative visits with your surgeon who can help you decrust the nose for proper healing.
Thank you for your question and photo. An in office evaluation will help to assess whether you are a candidate for a revision upper blepharoplasty. It is important to be conservative in taking upper eyelid skin because you want to avoid having dry eyes and incomplete eye closure which can cause problems such as eye tearing. Other features about the eye or surrounding the eye need to be assessed. For example, if the brows are descended, it can provide an appearance of excess upper eyelid skin. I recommend you revisit your surgeon or be evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon or oculoplastic surgeon.
Thank you for your question and photos. It appears you have swelling from your surgery, as expected 5 weeks after a lower blepharoplasty. I advise patients that healing takes at least 6-12 months after surgery in this area. You may also notice fluctuations in swelling with activity and this is normal. If you want to improve the amount of swelling, you can use gentle cool compresses and avoid salty foods. I recommend you continue to follow with your surgeon.
