I greatly appreciated the time Dr. de Olarte took to not only walk me through the process of a tummy tuck procedure but also what to look for if I chose another surgeon. In the end, Dr. de Olarte performed my surgery. I now have a waist, a flat tummy and no dog ears! My scar is healing beautifully and I so appreciated the care Dr. de Olarte took to make sure I stayed healthy throughout this experience. Dr. de Olarte has proven her skills over and over by not only my personal experience but of two other family members who previously saw her over the years. I would definitely recommend her to others.
Dr. De Olarte is an outstanding doctor. I've had a few procedures with her over the last 16 years I had my first procedure done by Dr. De Olarte and she went above and beyond. She has over 3 decades of experience. Her office is a lovely vintage motif. She keeps her office a modest size so that she can pass the savings onto her patients. Don't be fooled, she gives you 200% at all times. Thank you, Dr. DE Olarte!!!
Dr. De Olarte is spectacular. She has always done an incredible job with not only my filler and Botox, but with my amazing tummy tuck. She has changed my life, I only wish I had met Dr. De Olarte sooner.
Thank you so much Dr. Olarte for an amazing result when I decided to go for a facial rejuvenation. From start to finish, she was super helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Very lucky to find such an amazing doctor. 100% recommended this doctor. I really love the result! My face looks really good and absolutely one of the best experience I had so far!
I had a hand full of free consultations and I'm glad that I chose DR Gloria de Olarte in Pasadena CA. Ilost about 80 pounds and had a lot of loose skin around my abs. I wore a girdle for awhile but my abs would hang when I would bend over. Now I can show off my mid-section. Wow, that is a first!!!!!!!! I am no longer a young lady but my mid-section sure looks like it!!!!
Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) best decision I have ever made!!! Dr. De Olarte's approach is different in that she goes really low into the pubis. I have friends who have had this procedure and the tell me they like the placement of my scar better. Also, no more back fat!!!! I did everything she told me to do to the letter and everything went exactly as she said. She truly knows a how a woman should look and made me look that way. I am 52 and am rocking bikinis, mini skirts with belly shirts, fitted dresses and skinny jeans. my confidence is through the roof.
I had upper and lower Eyelid Surgery with Dr. Gloria De Olarte and she did an amazing job. I was looking very tired all the time and had extra skin from the bags under my eyes. Makeup was not doing the job, eye creams or cooling pads were not doing anything for me. I had eyelid surgery on my mind for a couple of years and finally decided to get it done. I found Dr. De Olarte, she was great and explained everything in detail during my consultation. Once I made my decision she went more in depth on my first appointment before my surgery. Post-op she was very caring, I had a few post-op appointments to check on my recovery and she would call me between appointments to be sure I was ok. I am very happy with my results and highly recommend her. I will be seeing her again soon.
My boobs were slightly droopy, areoles were a bit too large and different sizes, stretch marks, nipples were not in line with each other ( one was 2cm lower than the other), also my left boob is an entire cup larger than my right. In order to address all of my problems, I would have to get the vertical lift, but I refuse scars at my age. Due to this, I got the benelli lift. I will post before pics and after pics for people because this surgery pics seem very limited online. I hope my benelli diary helps this out there get an idea of results and healing time. Updated on 4 May 2015: Kind of surprised how painless this procedure is. My doctor prescribed me Vicodin and I only needed it the first day. The only time I experience pain is when I'm cold (use your imagination). Anyway, I went to the doctor today for my first preop and she took off all the dressings and checked out my incisions. She said they're healing great. Some members asked if I have permanent sutures. Yes, I do have the permanent suture that goes all the way around the areola to prevent spreading. I also have temporary sutures that she will be removing next week. (So excited and nervous). Today was the first day I got to see my new boobs and I truly couldn't be happier. They are so round and plump. Remember, I had many complaints: stretch marks, different size breasts, nipples at different heights, unwanted mole, sagging and large areoleas. This procedure smoothed out my stretched marks (due to the removal of excess skin and tightening of breast envelope), reduced the size of my areolas, evened out the height of my nipples (she remeasured with a ruler today), and removed the mole. The only thing this procedure could not address was the difference in breast size, but that doesn't bother me so much anymore because they're so close to perfect it doesn't matter now. Check out the pic. I know it looks scary, but I hardly bled after the surgery, the dark circles around my areolas are sharpie and sutures. I'm happy so far! :) Updated on 11 May 2015: Wow! Love my boobs! The doc removed half of my stitches around both areolas and says she will remove the rest next Monday. :) the permanent stitch obviously will remain so I guess after Monday the hardest parts are over. My breasts are still twice the size and I'm getting my period tomorrow so I'm just eagerly awaiting a more realistic view once they decrease a bit. So happy with the shape, height and areola though!!! Updated on 17 May 2015: Swelling almost gone. Back to my old cup size. Recap: benelli no implants. Updated on 19 May 2015: I'm getting there. I just spent ten minutes meticulously washing off all the sharpie around my new bandages. Zero sutures left! I wish I could have cleaned my incisions before she placed on new bandages. Oh well. Swelling keeps going down and I'm so happy to have a more comical shape. I hadn't realized how much pressure the tegaderm placed on my breasts, flattening them. Many of you have asked why all my bandages are clear--it's because I'm allergic to adhesives. Tegaderm is pretty much the only one that I'm not allergic to. When she removed my sutures I noticed two pleads on my left boobs and three on my right...not bad! Anyway, here are the updated pics! Updated on 22 May 2015: Exactly 3 weeks! Updated on 9 Jun 2015: I don't know how to feel. I'm happy with the lift and the shape, but my left areola looks like a mess. I'm getting depressed. I just overcame some small openings from spitting sutures and now I'm confronted with this permanent problem. The whole point of doing this procedure was to avoid scarring so I'm glad I won't have that issue when they heal, but I never anticipated this much asymmetry in areola size. My PS warned me this could happen but I thought the permanent suture was supposed to hold them in place? Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Tattoo? Revision? :( Updated on 11 Aug 2015: I posted a video because every picture I took looked so different. I am very happy with my results. Cons: I had the permanent stitch break through my skin at the very top a month ago, which caused the red 'cut/scar' I pointed out. Luckily, it healed, but it is a more red scar because it is healing 2 months later than the rest of the incisions. I was very worried in my previous posts about areola spreading, but luckily my right spread a bit as well, making them almost even. I bent over so you can see that I have a bit of a flat nipple areola complex, but I will say it gets better every day--just like the pleating. I have zero pleats on my right areola, and 4 around my left areola that soften daily. Last con, the lift is not 100% as you can see, but it is 75% better than it was before. When I lifted my arms before, I still had A LOT of boobs overhang. Now when I extend my arms straight out to my sides (not even above my head) there is no boob overhang. Pros: MEDIUM LIFT! NO SCARS! NIPPLES AT SAME HEIGHT! AREOLAS SMALLER! QUICK RECOVERY! LESS STRETCH MARKS (the tightening of my skin camouflages them) MORE SYMMETRY!-- My right breast was two sizes smaller than my left and pre-lift I had to stuff the right side with a sock. Even though only excess skin was removed, the tightening effect of my breasts against my chest wall has made them fit my bras like they're almost even! They're only a half size apart now so I don't have to stuff anymore! I am very happy. I feel so much more comfortable in every way with them and I am SO HAPPY I do not have vertical lift scars in my 20's! :)
I recently got my BA done by Dr. De Olarte. She did an amazing job. I was beyond nervous going into surgery and very indecisive on the size of the implants. Dr. De Olarte fully explained in detail every single thing I needed to know and showed me very detail pictures as well. She is so beautiful and friendly and intelligent. She made me feel confident in knowing that she was the right surgeon for me. I am very pleased with my results. Updated on 4 Sep 2014: 1 week post op. Boobs are not high. They are already set it place! Updated on 4 Sep 2014: This is me before surgery. Our goal was a fuller breast and to move my nipples more center.
Dr. De Orlarte is a wonderful doctor who truly cares for her patients. My breast augmentation was performed almost 14 years ago and my breast still look fabulous. I'm currently preparing to undergo a tummy tuck on 7/8/2013. I didn't have any problems with her staff or the payment process as someone else has noted. Her staff was very helpful and understanding. She even gives information about financing surgery if it is needed. I would encourage anyone to complete their surgery options with Dr. De Orlarte! Updated on 10 Feb 2015: From what I remember it wasn't that bad. I had some swelling and bruises for a few days. Was off really strong pain meds in 2 days and back to work on day 4. I wore my ugly bra for 2 weeks before wear a pretty bra. The soreness wore off after about 6-8 weeks. Updated on 21 Jun 2016: Hello Everyone, I'm posting an update to let you know that I'm still happy with my tummy!!
I agree with your doctor that you need a minituck, it will tighten your muscles below the navel and place your scar lower than the Csection scar and most probably will improve your scarScar will be lower and a little longer but probably much betterAnd if oblique muscles are tighten you will also get a better waist definitionGood luck and be sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeonDr de Olarte
Sondi91 Based on the pictures you probably need a full tummy tuck , you have weak muscles and wrinkles above your navel, it is difficult to evaluate without a picture of you bending over or sitting down to see how much of a Roll you have and the quality of your skin Need to be evaluated by a board certified plastic surgeon to see if you are a good candidate for it In general a minituck is for a patient with good skin and good muscles above the navel and only small roll of extra skin below the navel because on a minituck the only muscles tightened are below the navel and an smaller amount of extra skin are removed Good luck on your surgery
Adelaide If you have an umbilical hernia that will be repaired at the same time of a tummy tuck with plication of the diastasis of the rectus muscles( the separation of muscles due to pregnancy or overweight ) you don’t need a mesh ,it is better without it You need to see a board certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated and see if you are a good candidate for it and the size of your hernia etc Dr de Olarte
Dear rsaundEvery body heals different and many factors are involved but if everything goes well and you are well healed, without complications ,you should be able to play tennis in 3 weeks, just be careful and don't overdo it in the first week,go slowly.Good luck with your surgery
