Love the way I can count on this procedure to give me a lift. The staff is always friendly and professional I can always trust a good result with the product and professionalism of the Institute. I have relied on them for years and will continue to rely on thus product
Dr. DeBias and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and candid about which treatments will and won't work with your skin and give you the results you are looking for. I first started seeing Dr. DeBias for filler in my thinning lips and lines around my mouth, and he did a great job. I was so impressed that I booked an Active-FX treatment. While I did have the 5 days of down time (redness, flaking and spots) the end result was that my skin looked tighter and more healthy. I booked a follow-up treatment the following year, and this year will be getting my 3rd Active-Fx treatment. Its become a yearly spring ritual. I highly recommend D. DeBias for anyone getting filler (especially first-timers) and who is interested in CO2 fraxel treatments. He and his team are always staying up on recent advances in aesthetic medicine.
I was very skeptical of Sculpsure at first. After all the failed diets and working out, I went in and had the first procedure done on my upper and lower abdomen. It was about the first week in I started to notice a little bit of fat that had been removed. Nothing substantial... yet. After 3 months, My waist size went from 34 to a 32 because of the fat removal. I did my second treatment on my upper/lower abdomen nearly a month ago and my stomach is SO CLOSE to being flat that I really cannot believe the change. I did have 1 treatment done on my flanks, I didn't notice a difference so I am going to try doing 1-2 in coming months to see. I will see if I can get the before pictures, and then post a before/after comparison.
I sought our the pioneer of the Active Fx laser for my resurfacing procedure. Dr. Glenn DeBias has done over 15k of these procedures and I wanted to go to the best. The procedure did everything it promised - my skin texture, tone, and tightness improved. The procedure was painless (numbing cream and cold air were used) and I only had 3.5 days of downtime. I will continue to get this procedure to maintain my look.
Not only is there absolutely no improvement after two full months, this aggravated a previously dormant herniated disk problem. From the afternoon of having the procedure, I've had daily pain and muscle spasms from a herniated disk that was 99 percent under control the previous three years. The procedure itself was extremely painful, to which the technician turned it down to, apparently, off since I didn't feel it at all again.
I had Active FX on a Friday on my face and neck, and the swelling went up and started to go down on Friday night. The swelling was ending on Saturday and started to itch and I peeled on Sunday. On Monday, I was back to normal, but slightly blotchy and stayed home. The doc says that men heal faster, and I'm a really fast healer. He also told me that he zapped me at a high fluence because I asked him to be aggressive. He told me that I would need a second treatment in about 6 months and I'm going to ask him to be even more aggressive. The worst part was wearing the Aquaphor because it has a nasty almost musky smell. I went to work on Tuesday and had to keep applying a lot of moisutirzer to keep my skin from drying out. My skin seems supple and bright, and maybe a little tighter but it's probably too early to tell. My skin was very good to start so the improvement might be tougher to see. I'm using an antioxidant skin spray to stay hydrated and lots of sunscreen and I eat really healthy. I'll keep you posted. Updated on Nov 11, 2008: My skin continues to get softer and the skin is firmer. There are still some areas and lines that need some more lasering next time. The doc explained that it's better to break up the laser dose into two or more sessions because the skin is able to heal better than if it got a full strength old school CO2 blast. I'm pleased and continue to keep it moist at night and eat well so that the collagen regenerates well. I plan to have another Active FX in January and plan to have a maintenance treatment once a year after that. Updated on Jan 13, 2009: I had my second Active FX on Friday. The doc is great, and I told him I was looking to reduce forehead lines, lines on my neck, and my nasolabial folds rather than the just fixing general post-acne damage, an old scar, and texture the first time 3 months ago. The doctor upped the fluence on the laser this time because I did great last time and could tolerate a higher fluence. I had treatment on Friday and returned to work on Tuesday with a small degree of pinkness to my skin. My skin is tight and much younger looking. I am having to moisturize the skin every few hours. I am planning to have an Active FX treatment every year from now on to just maintain what I have. I would recommend my doctor to anyone and he can formulate a unique laser treatment plan to suit everyone's specific needs. Joe
