After consultation with several surgeons, I decided to go with Dr. Kryger to have my top surgery. This was a solid decision. I had the keyhole; it was quick and painless. I was in and out in about 3 hours and had surgical drains for about a week. I thought I was going to be bed-ridden for days, but I hardly felt any pain and was free to move around even the evening after the surgery. I healed up fairly quick and had the drains removed in less than a week. After about a month (I can't remember the exact timeline) or less, I was back for post-op and I was really happy with the result. Aside from the nipples, my chest looks completely like a man. The nipples reconstruction have to be done separately from this procedure. I also had the nipple reduction done by Dr. Kryger three-four months after this procedure. My scar is hardly visible, one would have to be an inch close to see the scar that I have. A year after having this procedure, I can't be more than happy with the result.
Several months ago my left breast swelled and was slightly uncomfortable. A physician suggested a mammogram and breast US to rule out various problems. Later, an MRI confirmed both implants are ruptured and there is intra- and extra- capsular leakage of the silicone. Needle aspiration of some fluid came back negative for ALCL. I feel fine. So far so good. My reasons for explant are to clean up the leakage, remove scar tissue, and avoid future surgeries. My first BA was in 1989. I was talked into a size larger than I was happy with. I developed CC and one side "bottomed out". The current set was implanted in 1996. This set lasted me 18 years with very little problem until now. They seem to have ruptured suddenly. Last year's mammogram was normal and I can't account for any trauma. I spoke to a few surgeons and found one who has done a lot of breast reconstructive surgery. I have learned a lot of what to expect from Realself.com stories and hope to encourage others who want to consider this procedure. I am fortunate that my health insurance will cover most of the costs. Here goes... Updated on 20 Mar 2015: I don't know what the final cost will be. My health insurance is covering it. I have a high deductible with a maximum out of pocket. I will track the charges though and report it at the end. Updated on 9 May 2015: My surgery was done by Drs. Zol and Gil Kryger in Thousand Oaks, CA. Their mission was to remove my ruptured silicone implant material and not re-insert any new implants. They said it was a difficult explant surgery. I did not get more details since I was out of it. I will get the whole story when I go back for my first follow up appointment. Coming out of anesthesia, my pain level was high. They got that under control quickly but then a Percocet pill later brought on MAJOR NAUSEA. A Phenergan injection and Zofran helped a little bit. My aftercare nurse Lana was awesome and really everyone was kind, helpful, and professional. On the drive home (about 1 hour 45 minutes) we went through rain, hail, and a dust storm. (I was mostly in a fog. Pun intended.) My nausea finally subsided by the next morning and today I’ve only taken one 800 mg Ibuprofen for the pain. I’m sore but not really in pain. Using my icepacks sometimes. I have drains but no wrapping of any kind. I am comfortable, sleeping fine and have already been outside a bit to walk around. I will post some photos. I'm not very good at it and was very nauseated when I took the first ones post-op. The breasts look awful right now but I was ready for that after reading other postings. It feels great to be "lighter and flatter" and I just have to wait and see what happens as time goes by. Updated on 10 May 2015: Bulbs, grenades, pisspots, whatever... The drains don't bother me much. I do advise having on hand one or two button up shirts you can sleep in and pin (and re-pin and re-pin) the blubs without fear of ruining the fabric. For showering I pinned the bulbs to each other and looped them over my wrist. The washcloth idea was good but then my bulbs bounced right on top of my breasts. Smaller washcloth solved that problem. Rock your pots! Updated on 13 May 2015: I woke up this morning to find blood in my right drain bulb. Checked with the doctor and he said I probably did too much the day before. (Guilty as charged. I did a little bit of laundry. Even though I was moving slowly and carefully I may have reached too far.) By a few hours later, the fluid was changing back to the pink then translucent yellowy pink. I'm using about 5 pillows at night. I'm a J-leg/stomach sleeper and while it's possible to get comfortable, it's hard to flip over in the middle of the night. You have to wake up enough to consider where the blubs, tubes, and sore bits are before you settle back down. Since I slept so well last night I may have inadvertently tugged on the right tube or have done a push-up with my right arm to cause the bleeding. "Washcloth trick" is to pin the bulbs to the sides of a washcloth and loop that around your neck to take a shower. They gave me regular safety pins at the hospital but I changed them out for old-school diaper pins. I pin the bulbs to the side seam of my shirt. Today I went to Target with the bulbs pinned to the waistband of my pants and the bulbs and tubes stashed in my big loose pockets. I don't recommend this. It was fine until I needed to use the restroom. Fast. Don't try to do anything Fast with bulbs on. Lol. Updated on 13 May 2015: I woke up again with bloody discharge and a spot on my sheets. The doctor told me to what to do and my husband cleaned the site and put on new clear bandage. The stitches were still in place. That was good. It's hard to keep the long drainage tubes from catching on things: chair arms, the corner of desks, and sleeping torso. Otherwise, feeling fine. These drains are obviously not coming out this week as I'd hoped. I don't want to go back to work with the tubes in. I work an average of 10-13 hours a day (own business) and if I were there I would automatically be overdoing it. Updated on 18 May 2015: I get to turn in my drains and tubes tomorrow! What a relief that will be ! my make-shift ace wrap belly pouch has been awesome. For me, it was safer to contain the long floppy tubes this way. They did not crimp or fold even in my sleep as long as I positioned the tops carefully. The negative pressure vacuum still pulled the fluid even in my sleep. My breasts are still folded weirdly and are becoming sensitive to loose clothing touching them. My husband says its the nerves healing. Hyperesthesia. I've had some itching on my rib cage too, but not bad. I have a tube of Benadryl gel handy. Sometimes just patting on a little bit makes the spot wet and goopy and I'm less likely to scratch. Regarding pain medication: I used 800 mg Ibuprofen every 8 hours for the first three days. Then averaged one dose every 12 hours for six more days. Last couple of days I've only taken 2 Extra-strength Tylenol once or twice a day. Updated on 19 May 2015: My appointment today with Dr. Kryger went well. I got a copy of my Operative and Pathology reports and answers to all my questions. During the procedure they drained a large seroma from my left capsule. My implants had ruptured and the silicone was everywhere! They removed everything including the capsules. The silicone was stuck to and embedded in the muscles, scar tissue and chest wall. It took a while to staunch all the oozing blood. The sad news is that in certain areas my breast tissue was obliterated by the implants and there is no "fluffing" back from that. He likened it to lumpectomies. My breasts are not going to look "normal" without some PS intervention. I had opted not to get a lift (which would have fixed that upper fold) because I did not want to cut into my aereolas again. For now, I am grateful I have no cancer, no free silicone, and no more implants causing more damage. If you have old silicone implants, remove them before they do any damage. Updated on 27 May 2015: Thank you all for your support. I am 3 weeks post-op and it's like night and day. I feel good. I'm back to work. I'm walking 15-40 minutes a day. Yes, my breasts are wonky but I don't mind very much. I can't stop saying how happy I am that the implants are out! I don't know a THING about massaging. Sounds painful at this point. I'm most comfortable in my Nikibiki bra top. I only need a little support when I walk briskly. I jiggle! Hee hee. I've never had jiggly breast tissue before. Updated on 8 Jun 2015: I am about done posting and commenting as I don't think my appearance will change significantly. I hope it has helped someone make a decision one way or another. I don't know how common my results are so if you have had a similar case, please post your experience and photos. I'm interested to know if and what you decided for reconstruction (besides re-implantation). I will check back in 3-6 months to post another photo to compare to these early ones. Thank you for your support through this. To those ladies considering explantation and are put off by my results, take heart, talk to your primary care doctor or gynecologist and make the decision that is best for your health. You are not your breasts. You are you, with or without them. If you are considering breast augmentation, save your money and plan for future revision surgeries. Implants are not a lifetime product. Most importantly, talk to other women who have had the procedure and listen carefully to what they say. Consider your emotional health and your body image. Have others told you that your view of yourself is skewed negatively? Do you over-think things? When in doubt, do nothing. Wait a year or two and see. Surround yourself with people who love you the way you are. Bras today are amazing. Spend your money on some great ones! Updated on 16 Aug 2015: Updated on 2 Feb 2020: Sorry I waited so long to show an updated photo. I am 58 years old and have gained a good 20 lbs since 2015. The only bothersome thing is not having enough breast to hold down the bra band. I've tried multiple brands and styles. It hard to find a large enough band with a smaller cup. I may consult with a plastic surgeon to see if there is any evening-up they can do without using implants. Updated on 3 Feb 2020: Still happy more than 4 years later. The Kryger's did a great job of removing my ruptured silicone implants along with the capsules and the silicone that had escaped and imbedded itself elsewhere in my chest.
First of all, I want to thank all you beautiful and brave ladies out there who have contributed to this site! Without you I don't think I would have had the courage to go ahead with this surgery even though I have wanted to do it since I first had my implants put in. My story starts back in 1979. I had small breasts, but at the time I didn't realize that they were beautiful and perfect! Several of my friends had implants and I thought I would look better if I had them too. In 1979 I went to a very popular PS in the area. He had done several of my friends and had even been on a couple of T.V. shows as an amazing surgeon. I told him I just wanted to go from a full A to a full B cup. I was 5'3" and 103 lbs. When I woke up from surgery I was a a DDcup and he had created a Uniboob and lowered my intframammory fold(breast crease) over an inch. My whole chest was one giant boob!! My whole breast, nipple and areola were completely numb and continue to be to this day, I was unable to nurse my daughters as no milk ever came in which He assured me would not happen, It was horrible and I HATED how I looked!! He told me I would have to wait 1-2 years to see how things "settled". After 2 years nothing had changed, I was heart broken and looked like a freak. The PS agreed to do a revision, although he charged me again full price for the surgery!! He reduced the size of the implants and tried to fix the uniboob, but I still have a weird piece of skin between the two breasts where they are not quite separated. He did not address the lowering of the Inframammory fold (breast crease). Because of that I have never been able to wear a 2 piece bathing suite or even find a bra that fits properly. My "crease" always hangs out below the band of a bathing suite, bra, or any top that has a seam at the base of the breast. I have hated my boobs for 35 years!! About 25 years ago I discovered a"lump" under my right breast. Another Surgeon removed it. It was a large white stringy looking thing and he said he had never seen anything like it. He sent it in for a biopsy, the lab wasn't sure what it was so they sent to Bethesda Medical Center in Maryland. The report I got back from the Center was that it wasn't malignant. At the time I had 2 young daughters, and was just so happy, I didn't have cancer that I did't pursue it, but looking back I'm sure that the implants were ruptured and leaking. I guess I will find out on Aug 4th. Fast forward...I am 61 years old and still hate my implants!! every time I go for a mammogram the Drs. say they are old and look like they could be ruptured (although I have not had a MRI) I have had so much pain in my boobs for such a long time, they feel so heavy and uncomfortable that I have decided to finally get them out!! I am scheduled for surgery on Aug 4th 2014. With Dr. Gil Kryger, I have heard wonderful things about him, and his brother on this site, and also from several of my friends who are Drs. and Nurses who work with them. I'm so hoping that this will be a better outcome than my original surgery. I have decided to have the implants removed with a lift. I have had the implants for 35 years, I am 61 years old, have had 2 kids, and have gained 15 lbs since 1979 HaHa!! thats life! But the main reason for the lift is to hopefully raise my breast cease that was lowered in the first surgery. I just want to be able to be able to buy a bra and not fall out the bottom!! I'm just so scared after reading all the complications that others have had from having a lift. I just hope I'm not pushing the envelope here, and again trying to remake my body. I'm so embarrassed to have to tell my daughters how foolish I was 35 years ago. My oldest daughter is expecting my first Grandchild this fall and I just want to be past all of this by then. I feel bad sounding like such a winer, when there are so many people out there with so many more serious issues than me, but thanks to all you you for listening to my story, as I said in the beginning. I am so thankful for all of you and your amazing stories. Updated on 30 Jul 2014: Hi Ladies! I apologize for not updating earlier, but I was on vacation and now am trying to make up for lost time at work especially since I will be gone for another week because of my surgery!! I went for my post op yesterday and my surgeon answered all my questions, unfortunately I came up with a couple more after I left, so hopefully I can ask them before the surgery?? At this point I really am so sick of anguishing over this every waking moment that I just cant wait for it to be over!! I have filled all my prescriptions, have several jammies ready that button up the front. I'm very blessed because of all the back surgeries that my husbands had we had to get one of those beds that you can raise and lower the head and feet! I have a feeling that is going to come in very handy since I am a BIG stomach sleeper and will not be happy to have to sleep on my back! My surgeon said I would come home with a surgical bra, but I should pick up a soft front closing one for support after, but I'm not sure what size I should get. I can hardly buy a bra for these big things that I have now, so I'm not really sure what size to even get?? I'll go to the store tomorrow and check it out HaHa!! I told both my daughters and my younger one was so funny!! her comment was "well I guess I can stop looking in the mirror every morning, wondering when my boobs will get big like my moms" we both laughed and I told her, her boobs were PERFECT and to never change them. I told her about all the problems I had had because of implants especially the fact that I could not nurse her. She was very sad for me. She was always talking about getting implants when she got older, but now she's totally against them. I think that so many young women are not really aware of all the problems that can come about from implants. Thank goodness my older daughter has always been happy with her breasts, and never even has considered anything like implants!! I am going to be very busy for the next few days between now and 8/4 (The BIG day) I have to work and my daughter and her husband are moving this weekend, which is great because I was so worried they would move shortly after my surgery and I wouldn't be able to help them. So blessed how that all worked out. I want to Thank all of you who have sent me encouraging words and thoughts, this website has been a lifeline during a difficult time. I promise to update with photos and details as soon as I can after my surgery, and look forward to continuing updates from those of you who have taken the "plunge" and those of you preparing to. You are all amazing XOXO Updated on 4 Aug 2014: Hello Ladies! Well today's the big day! I'm leaving in about 10 min for the surgery center, surprisingly, I'm not as nervous as I was all last week. I thank you for all your prayers and thoughtful words. I'll post as soon as I am able!! XOXO Updated on 5 Aug 2014: 35 year old implants out!! woohoo!! I had a great experience at the surgery center everyone was so competent and caring. My doctor gave me a pill one hour before surgery that is supposed to really help with nausea, (I have a big problem with that after any surgery) It was amazing I woke up with not a twinge of nausea and have not had any problem with nausea at all!! I believe the name of it is emend?? They still use anti nausea meds in the IV,but this was amazing!! My surgeon said everything went well with the surgery. My right implant was completely ruptured and he said it was a a big mess with silicone all over the place, the left one was intact, they said that was pretty crazy after 35 years. As you know I opted to have a lift at the same time, because of the money, having to have additional surgery, my age and length of time they were in. The good news is I only had to have a lolliepop lift, I was told before surgery I was going to have an anchor lift. My surgeon did say that when implants are removed you just have to wait until you get in to see what you're dealing with. I will find out when I go back why that decision was made. I'm almost afraid to be too excited but so far so good! I was tired yesterday after surgery. I took a pain pill and rested and was very comfortable. The worst part of the night was Having to sleep on my back!! that and getting up every 1/2 - 1 hour to pee! Between the IV and all the water I drank when I got home, it was crazy. My throat hurt all day and night, but it feels fine today. I am switching to Motrin today because the pain is not bad and Motrin will help with the inflammation. I don't want deal with the bathroom issues that codeine can cause, thats never any fun :( My drains have to say in until I only have 20cc of drainage, they are not uncomfortable, but just a pain to deal with. My Dr. says I can take a shower today!!! just pin the drains on a towel around my neck, wow I was surprised by that!! Im sooo happy with the size although I know they're still swollen. I am posting some pictures, don't pay attention to the weird looking points in the front of my boob, that is a seam in the bra not my nipple haha!! I will post more pics braless in the next day or so. I want to thank all for you for reading this rather long review, I'm just so happy to be past the surgery that I'm a kinda of a natural high! haha. I just pray now that my healing will go well with no complications, Its just a day by day thing. Thank you for all you thoughts and prayers! cocomom ps sorry pics are upside down! dont know whats up with that!! Updated on 16 Aug 2014: Hi Ladies, Well it was a great week! I got my drains out on Monday. Went to a party that night(several people asked if I had lost weight!!) and back to work on Tue! For those of you worried about having the drains removed, It didn't hurt a bit!! felt a little weird because I could feel the tubing being pulled through the breast but NO pain. I have been all week, lots of energy and minor discomfort, the hardest thing is just not going back to my regular activities. Im not supposed to lift my arms over my head and its uncomfortable to bend down and reach out like to scrub a floor or bath tub. Feeling like my house is a big mess haha! I love the feeling of lightness especially on a hot summer day! so wonderful not to have those big sweaty bags hanging off me, sorry to be so gross, but its true!! I"m really looking forward to going out and buying some new bras, I tried a few of my old ones on and just laughed, needless to say they all went into the trash! I have to wear a surgical bra or sports bra for 6 weeks. I also don't get my stitches out for 6 weeks, that was a little surprising to me :( but I am allowed to sleep on my stomach Yay!! I've posted a few pictures for you to see. I know they are not perfect, but Im thrilled. The Drs. and I had a couple of conversations before the surgery, because of the two previous surgeries there were certain things they were going to try their best to fix. One of my big issues was the repair of the symmastia They were able to make it better, but it can't be totally repaired. My other big issue was the the breast crease that had been lowered. Although they said there wasn't much that could be done about that, I think its defiantly higher and Im so happy. Im so glad this is all behind my, I was sooo stressed out for so long trying to make this decision, and at this point its one of the best things Ive ever done. Prayers and happy healing to all you who are thinking of removal, or have had it done. Let me know if you have any questions. and I'll keep you posted XOXOXO Updated on 16 Nov 2014: Hi Ladies! I just wanted to give you an update on whats going on with my progress. Well first of all I'm still Sooo!! happy that I had my implants removed!! I don"t regret it for a minute!! As I said before, only that I didn't do it sooner!! I wrote in my last update that my breast crease was raised after being lowered by original implant surgery, well I think that was wish full thinking. Now that things are starting to settle in, that it's not the case, my left breast especially still has a tendency to fall out the bottom of my bra. Oh well, I just need to get over that! My Dr's did a wonderful job considering what they had to work with LOL. They said that after a year maybe I might want to consider trying to make an adjustment on the right side which still has a few scaring issues because of my previous implant surgeries and the growth (silicone leakage???) that had to be removed on the side of my breast. I really don know if I'm even going to deal with it. I'm so happy with how I look in clothes and so who really cares at 61 what I look like without clothes on except my Husband, who thinks I look fabulous haha! I do wear the silicone strips all day and then at night take them off, and apply sweet almond oil on my boobs to give them a little moisture. Im being patient about the scaring, my Dr. says the scars look good for this point in the recovery time. I am posting a few pictures so you can see where I'm at this time. I know my boobs are not perfect, but I love them!! I took a picture of me in a style of bra that I haven't! I been able to wear for 35 years!! I am so thankful for all of you who gave me support and encouragement through this time. You are all such amazing women and I see everyday that there are more and more women crossing to the other side. This website is truly an amazing testament to the bravery and resilience of all the women out there that have gone through this experience! Blessings to you all!! Updated on 16 Nov 2014:
After 7 pregnancies I had a lot of loose skin and deflated breasts. After much research and interviewing different surgeons I selected The Kryger Institute. I had a tummy tuck, breast augmentation and implants and lipo on my hips, abdomen and bra band line and multiple hernias repaired. Upon having my first consultation, the Doctor discovered that I had several abdominal hernias either related to a prior abdominal surgery or due to my many pregnancies. He said that they would repair those along with the other procedures. Yay! Prior to my surgery, their patient coordinator, Judy, sat and talked with me about what to expect and what to have ready...such as ice packs, plenty of pillows, medications (prescriptions and over the counter). I felt very prepared! My surgery went great...no complications. It was out patient. Later that day their office called to check on me. I was in a lot of pain and had a hard time moving around...but was mentally prepared for that. I was almost immediately thrilled with the results...even with all the bruising and swelling...my waist was tiny and my breast were no longer deflated balloons. Each time I went back into the office there was no wait time in the lobby, and minimal in the examination room. They took their time with me and never rushed me out. They were very careful about making sure that everything was healing correctly and that nothing was being rushed...such as not taking out the drain tubes too early (I went home with two drains and they were removed by day 8), or removing stitches too early (they were removed at 6 weeks). I am just a little over 6 weeks post surgery. I LOVE my results and the doctor said they will only get better, as I still have a lot of swelling. I had lipo done on my bra band line...I am already nine inches smaller in that measurement!! My breast are still tender, but have read that is normal. My tummy tuck scar is so nice...nice straight incision that sits below my bikini line. My flat tummy is beautiful. I very happy!!! Great office and doctors!! Great results!! I would highly recommend this facility!
I had a terrific experience with Dr. Kryger Their office is easy to find, lots of parking and a new office that is neat, organized, very clean and comfortable. They are well staffed in a welcoming place where I never had to wait much at all for 2 consultation appointments - very important to me What I really liked is that (I have seen both Zol and Gil) they are both professional, knowledgeable, personable and efficient. The second consult appointment with Gil turned into a pre-op appointment. Which saved me another visit.- Another big bonus for me All of the office staff Christy, Courtney, Rachel, Judy and Karen were all always quick to answer my questions or get back with me in a timely and efficient manner. They always made me feel important and cared for. That is a rarity now a days. The procedure started on time and it went very well, again, Gil Kryger doesn't waste your time he is pleasant and efficient he did a very good job. I chose conscious twilight sedation which was perfect. I will also note that he gave me the best quote around that I could find- imagine how awful it is to have spent close to 10,000 only to have to spend more $$$ and be left with nothing every other Dr. quoted me at least double- including the surgeon that inserted them. I was very unhappy with my large, low implants that made me look fat and frumpy in clothing- I had to wear extremely uncomfortable bras to get the lift and look I wanted. Dr. Kryger REALLY HELPED ME OUT- I am so grateful to have had such a good experience I feel so much better now! I have a photo posted on a q&a, click here to see it.
I was impressed by both doctors' professionalism and compassion. I am a breast cancer survivor and had undergone a procedure to have the cancer removed. It left me a little "deflated". I had two procedures where both breasts received implants. One took and the other became encapsulated. My second surgery was to remove the encapsulated one and use my body fat to reconstruct a breast. It worked and both breasts look great. No "selfies" for the web, but they feel and look wonderful. I highly recommend both doctors!
Free tram flap surgery for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy is a long and challenging procedure which Dr. Kryger did wonderfully. My recovery went smoothly as did the revision surgery. Follow up appointments were prompt and helpful with my recovery. It takes patience to fully recover but it has been 10 months now and every day is better.
I've seen Dr. Kryger for a while now for Botox for a deep vertical crease between my eyebrows. Even for this simple procedure, Dr. Kryger took the time to explain to me the benefits, the risks, how long it would take to see results, and how long until I'd need another treatment. After explaining everything, he then made sure I still wanted the procedure. I really appreciated his thoroughness for what I'm sure for him is no big deal. The results have been amazing. About a week after the first treatment, the crease was virtually gone, and I've kept going back about every 5-6 mos to stay on top of it. The injections are completely pain free. I highly recommend Dr Kryger! Updated on 17 Jul 2013: I've seen a lot of people that are doing Botox or other fillers on every little line here and there. For me, I feel like I get a more natural result by attacking one or two major creases on my face, and leaving the rest alone. I'm trying to look good at 50, not look 30 at 50! I don't want to remove the character from my face, just an unsightly crease here or there that actually draws attention away from the rest of my face. As far as tips for getting a good result, I guess going to a good doctor is key, because otherwise I don't do much. I keep ice on the site for about 5 min right after the injections and that's it. I've never had any pain, bruising or redness after my injections.
I wanted to first start off this review with a thank you. I went to see Dr. Kryger after another doctor in town left me with a double bubble breast complication. Dr. Kryger was able to fix the double bubble after two corrective surgeries and I am thankful for that. However, the lack of stars is in direct relation to the second surgery I had Dr. Kryger perform, primary rhinoplasty. I presented with bilateral deviated septum and complaints of a rather large bump on my nose that was most predominant on my side profile. My goal of the primary open rhinoplasty, which was clearly expressed to the Doctors was to remove the bump and to be able to breath through BOTH nostrils. Dr. Kryger performed a primary open rhinoplasty, essential a "clean canvas" back in 2017 and 2018. Each time requiring my nose to be broken. Pain is beauty, right? No problem. Unfortunately, many years later now I am still stuck with a bump. Prior to my surgeries I only had a bump while looking at my side profile, I now have a bump on my front profile. Now this just hasn't happened to me but also to two other close family friends. Lastly, remember that deviated septum I mentioned earlier? Only one side was fixed. Furthermore, when the bump came back after the first rhinoplasty, the goal of the second rhinoplasty was to fix the "new" profile view bump. I spoke with Dr. Kryger in 2021 in regards to the issue of my nose still not being resolved. I was quoted another $5000-$7000. Now, If this was his first or second attempt I would more understanding. However, with a third attempt with a doctor who continues to have me pay for his inability to fix my concerns seems silly to me. Also, if I have ANOTHER rhinoplasty, making it a third procedure, and still the nose isn't fixed, I am left with slim to none doctors who would be willing to fix his continued mistakes. Fast forward its now 2022, I know have a new bump on my nose that is now predominant while looking at me and I still have only one deviated septum fixed. After 2 times of having my nose broken, it is now apparent that this facility is not capable of fixing this issue. What is the most upsetting is that many well known reconstructive rhinoplasty specialist will NOT take a pt who has had more than 2 rhinoplastities. The ones that have been willing started with the low price of $25,000. I am 28 years old, I came to these doctors with a nose that had yet to be operated on and now I am left with a nose that no one wants to operate on. Again, I am thankful for what the correction of my breast, but I would not recommend for any rhinoplasty procedures.
you will find not caring Doctors every were. do you home work on their policies on revisions and expected results. after I found the right Doctor it was worth it. to bad I have to pay twice. DO YOU HOME WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Based on your pictures, you will do great with breast augmentation. You do have a minor variant of tuberous breast deformity which manifests as breast tissue that is pushed into (and under) the areolae, stretching them out, because of tightness in your lower pole. I would recommend a shaped and slightly more firm ("gummy bear") implant to stretch out the lower pole of your breast. You will likely have post operative puffiness under your areolae and may need a purse string tightening/areolar reduction to get you the best result. Good luck.
Based on your age and the fact that you say you have loose skin, I would avoid liposuction. Additionally, the energy/heat producing liposuction techniques may sound attractive but I do not think they will result in any significant amount of skin tightening. You should definitely consult in person with a board certified plastic surgeon and confirm. Good luck.
I would recommend an auto augmentation procedure in which the lower breast tissue is placed under the upper breast tissue to simulate an implant (using only your own tissues). The procedure would be performed with a vertical pattern breast lift to improve the shape.
Hi and thank you for your questions.I agree that you have a square face due to a combination of jowls and possibly filler in your pre jowl sulcus that has exacerbated the squareness.I agree with your surgeon(s) to perform a facelift and neck lift. The two procedures are really integral to each other as the lower face transitions into the neck and should be addressed together. The choice of technique and anesthesia will be determined by your surgeon. There is not a clear consensus among plastic surgeons about the terminology and names of procedures. What one surgeon calls a "S lift" another may call and lower face lift. At the end of the day, you want someone who can address your concerns in the best manner.Same thing goes for anesthesia. Both sedation and general are perfectly appropriate for a facelift. There are advantages to each--unless you feel strongly about it, let your surgeon do what they are most comfortable with.Good luck!
most like likely you have a mass of scar tissue in the lip that occurred as a result of slow healing. This may be amenable to a steroid injection and/or surgical excision of the scar. You should consult with a specialist who can assess this and decide on the best course of action.
