Botox work on muscular related wrinkles, or movement wrinkles. Static wrinkles, the ones you have at rest, do not respond as much. As such, there are several ways to improve the results of botox for crow's feet: 1. first, botox the area 2. then, after waiting the effect of botox takes place, consider one of the following: a. chemical resurfacing b. laser resurfacing with either fractionated laser or subablative fractioned laser resurfacing. c. low density hyaluronic acid filler d. platelet rich plasma e. combinations of the above
Botox can be used to contour neck line and soften lines of the midneck. Ways to enhance botox for neck contouring are as follows: 1. appropriate pre-existing neck bands and/or lateral neck bulge can be improved and reduced, thereby creating a more sharply defined jaw line and neck. 2. neck lines, especially horizontal ones, can be improved conservatively with botox. Additional improvement can be made by the combined use of hyaluronic acid filers in the dermal layer to "thicken" the skin in this area

Some longer lasting fillers, such as Radiesse or Artefill, can last much longer on the nose than others. Furthermore, some of these fillers may initiate inflammatory reactions so that fillers now become fixated to the skin, making the skin much thinner and thus surgery more challenging to perform. In my experience, 1. Wait 3-6 months after an injection between rhinoplasty is done. The waiting time allows the fillers to dissipate and observe any skin changes from the fillers. 2. Remove the filler material at time of surgery. This needs to be done conservatively, as all the material may not be able to be removed. 3. Replace skin thickeness with dermal grafts such as Alloderm if neceesary. Thin skin does not produce adequte draping, and thus skin rethickening is important for rhinoplasty. 4. Consult with an experienced facial plastic surgeon who does plenty of revision noses.
