found Dr. Lawton online via a google search for breast implant illness and explant surgeons near me. I have been very sick since 2018, and subsequently diagnosed with all sorts of things like chronic Lyme disease, and lupus. I had seen multiple doctors and tried so many different treatments none working well or making me worse. I even flew to Germany for 6 weeks of specialized Lyme treatment which was an enormous cost and I left there much worse off. After that I was giving up hope that I would find something, anything, to get my life back on track. At this point I was unable to work, unable to stand for longer than 5 minutes, unable to walk, my brain would not work, I could not remember anything, could not stand light or noise of any kind, I had rashes, and severe pain all over my body-major joints, could not sleep or slept to much, could not eat without vomiting or GI issues, weight gain, weight loss, hair loss, skin breakouts, extreme sun sensitivity. It was a very unpleasant roller coaster I was riding and at times I wondered why I was living at all. At times I wished I had to courage to end it but I desperately clung to a thread of hope that I would find something to help. I had implants since I was in my 20's and my Aunt said she had older friends with a lot of the same issues that had them explanted and what did I have to lose by removing the implants that were now over 30 years old. And YES I had seen surgeons, doctors, had mammograms and ultrasounds, and a MRI that all said the implants were fine and I was advised to leave well enough alone. So I was conflicted but had nothing else left to try. So I started research and found Dr Lawton. IT WAS EXTREMELY QUICK to get a free consultation. I did have to wait as he was behind but what doctor isn't and I did not care about waiting at all. When he came in he apologized, he was attentive, he did not rush at all, he gave me HIS FULL ATTENTION and that in itself was amazing as I was used to what's your problem and 6 minutes I am out the door to suffer alone again. Dr. Lawton HEARD ME, he advised me, he DID NOT MINCE WORDS, he was VERY clear and knowledgeable in a subject I did not expect him to be so passionate about. I expected he would say "ok we can take them out" and that would be it, but it was so much more than that. He CARED that I was sick, he cares deeply about wound healing, and about doing the right kind of procedure to get the best outcome of what you want to achieve. He MADE ME NO PROMISES and was very clear about that. I understood I might get nothing out of it but I also knew I might improve and that was THE GLIMMER OF HOPE I was looking for. I scheduled surgery before I left the appointment. That is how confident I felt that removing the implants was the right decision for me based off Dr. Lawton's information. I saw CoolMed before surgery, started supplements and a high protein diet to aid wound healing. Surgery day came and Dr. Lawton was there and he was comforting and confident. I was freezing and he personally went and got a blanket and covered me. I mention that because what doctor does that? None I have come across--again his ATTENTION TO DETAIL is unparalleled. Dr. Lawton is kind, professional, and utterly serious about his craft. So....1 year explant and I am 75% back to my old self. Its quite amazing. My lupus is under control as best I think it will be. I am on very minimal medicine for it. I continued care with Dr. Cooley at CoolMed because she helped me restore gut health after so many antibiotics to treat Lyme. The supplements are the only thing I tolerate well and I can tell the difference in my energy and stamina. I am returning to work and hope that I will be able to withstand the physical demands but only time will tell. Either way my pain level went from a 9/10 to a 2/3, I still don't sleep to good but it is much improved. I can eat normally, still follow a higher protein diet, avoid the sun but can actually go outside or ride in a car now without developing rashes. GI issues essentially gone. So even though Dr. Lawton is a plastic surgeon and does implants as well as explants he HEARS you on what you want and more importantly what will be safe and work best for your body. I honestly cannot say enough about Dr. Lawton. He gave me my life back. ***** 5 stars*****
I had surgery in 2022 with Dr Lawton. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. He and his team listened to my needs and always kept my safety first. Since my surgery, they have helped me navigate through an encapsulation. It’s now been two and a half years and the encapsulation is not resolving so I will need surgery to correct it. Dr Lawton will be removing the implant, correcting it, and placing a new implant. I do not have to pay anything for this second surgery. Dr Lawton wants his patients to achieve their goals and be happy with their results. He truly cares for his patients.
I had my first consult with another Surgeon and I just didn’t feel comfortable there, then had one with Dr. Lawton and scheduled my reduction with him. After my surgery I had a lot of time for reading about the other women’s experiences with other Doctors, and I began to question some of Dr. Lawtons methods because they are a little different than others. As time went by I began to see that Dr.Lawton has a very well researched and defined method for healing and recovery and he was right all along. I’m very happy with my results and I’m glad that I placed my trust in him.
I had a great experience with Dr. Lawton and the entire team at Lawton Plastic Surgery. The staff was incredibly kind, supportive, and professional throughout the entire process, making me feel comfortable and well cared for. My surgery went smoothly with no complications, and the results are good. However, after healing, I realized I wanted a slightly different outcome. I appreciate that Dr. Lawton truly listens to his patients and is willing to work with me to help achieve my ideal results. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone considering cosmetic surgery!
I first saw Dr. Lawton in April 2023, i had a BA done, saline UTM 380cc overfilled to 420/450cc to make them even. Unfortunately for me I developed capsular contracture & what some would call snoopy boob, within the first yr of my surgery. He without hesitation said let’s get you under the knife again (not exact words I’m sure, but along the lines, also at no cost to me). It’s now April 2024 & we do the second surgery, get rid of all my scar tissue, go a little bigger in hopes it takes care of the snoopy boobs. Well, I’m 6months into recovery & I will be going under again, my breast didn’t do what we wanted. I have to much elasticity that they have fallen too far down. He immediately was just as unhappy with the results as I was. He said we need to get you under again to fix this! Surgery is scheduled for this November!! This time we are going smaller & he will be sewing the side pockets to push the breast closer to each other. This man, again is not charging me because he genuinely cares about his patients & the work he does! I’m excited for surgery but also nervous.
I originally went to Lawton plastic surgery for breast augmentation in September 2023. After initial consultation, I booked my breast aug shortly after. The procedure and recovery itself were as expected. The breasts seemed to be healing well but over the course of a few months, I noticed a big gap would form between my breasts especially when I laid down. The left boob would go far left and the right boob would move far right almost near my under arm. Obviously this bothered me and was so aesthetically unpleasing. 11 months after my original procedure, I called Dr. lawtons office to express my dissatisfaction with the way the implants were moving. His nurses quickly scheduled me for an in office visit and Dr Lawton assessed. I was so comforted in knowing that what bothered me bothered him too. He was very empathetic and despite the multiple things that can go wrong with any surgery, I was comforted knowing Dr Lawton was fully invested in fixing this issue for me. He scheduled me for a remove/replace implant, capsulotomy and capsule to my procedure very expeditiously. When it came down to cost - Dr. Lawton took care of these repair procedures 100% cost to him. It would have otherwise cost me 13k. Not only am I grateful for a surgeon who truly cares but one that stands by his work 100%. I could not have asked for a better surgeon and will continue to use Dr Lawton for future needs. He is one of a kind and the best in the industry.
Dr. Lawton and his entire staff made me feel I was in safe and caring hands. Coming here can be compared to putting your health in the hands of trusted family. I cannot begin to express my satisfaction with Dr. Lawton and his staff, from the front desk, to the nurses, everyone! Each staff member was courteous, professional, and made my visit as comfortable as they possibly could. Caring, smiling, and laughing is good atmosphere for patients. My wait time in both the waiting room and the exam room was always short. The facility is beautiful, always clean, light refreshments are available in the waiting room, and the ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable. Dr. Lawton’s staff has mastered processes, paperwork, and has everything you can think of already prepared to make your visits and procedure so easy. They are extremely organized, you do not need to remember anything, they will give you lists and cheat sheets to help you with a very successful journey / procedure and have the best experience. So impressive! I feel I got the best possible treatment and owe my quick recovery to Dr. Lawton and his staff. I followed his recommended healing regimen that included pre-op supplements and a slightly modified diet intake, as well as post-op supplemental care. I was very pleased with my experience at Dr. Lawton’s office. I was treated with professionalism and care. I appreciated their follow-up and willingness to answer my questions. Dr Lawton himself spent time with me without rushing, I know he must have a busy schedule yet he always took the time to make me feel like I was the only patient there. The care I received from Dr. Lawton was exceptional, he listened attentively to my concerns and provided personalized treatment that yielded positive results. The entire team at the clinic displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Jennifer in surgical scheduling and finance was quick to return calls and has a great personality, Rebecca was my sweet OR nurse, Ashley was a pro for photos, Valencia at the front desk always greeted me with a smile and was helpful and accommodating – her customer service is second to none, Bernadette was my prep nurse for surgery and has been there a long time – also super sweet and nailed that IV poke the first time, Alexus was able to answer all of my questions and remove bandages gently during after surgery appointments, Dr. Melish my A&M buddy put me to sleep for the procedure GIG EM, and Adela in recovery is super sweet and so helpful. A big thank you to all of them! Dr. Lawton, you are a remarkable doctor, I feel blessed to have come your way. Keep doing what you do – helping so many! You have a patient for life - me!
Dr. Lawton is a true artist! My breasts looked amazing 2 weeks post op and I’ve healed amazingly in 4 months. His staff and post operative care plan were great. Wish I would have done this sooner. I was scared of the pain and scars, but honestly the pain and scars were nothing. Thank you Dr. Lawton for fixing me and helping me love my breasts again!!
If you’re looking for a first class experience in plastic surgery, look no further than Dr. Lawton. After months of research I’ve yet to find a surgeon with as much knowledge, experience and he absolutely radiates confidence! With my first consultation I was simply blown away, he answered every question and concern before I could even ask and even addressed things I would have never even thought about otherwise. What sealed the deal for me was his attentiveness to overall health of the body, as well as his expertise in wound healing. I have friends that have gone to other plastic surgeons that paid just as much if not more, to not even have bloodwork done before their surgery, nicked, tucked and sent them out the door. As for me, I choose five-star care! I received body analysis, packs of the best vitamins for ultimate wound healing and IV post-op for an extra boost in healing! I’m 6 days post-op from my breast augmentation and I’ve never felt more confident…and it’s only getting better from here!! Thank you Dr. Lawton you’re a super hero, as well as a special thank you to all nurses and staff complete professionalism all the way around!
Currently only 8 days post op for my tummy tuck with hernia repair. My only regret is that I hadn't done it sooner! Dr. Lawton and his team are amazing to say the least! He has also done a few procedures for 3 other friends of mine that were done 12+ years ago and they still look fabulous to this day! I am ecstatic to have finally took the leap and having the privilege of such a compassionate, knowledgeable, and extremely professional doctor. I feel great and literally have minimal swelling and rarely any bruising at all which I'm in disbelief in how great I feel after going through such a major procedure. Just as an added bonus, his office is super clean and organized!
You do not look like you are at risk for synmastia. Don't wear things that press your implant flat against your chest. You can wear a bra that separates the breasts.
There is no place for subfascial implant placement. Dual plane sub muscular implants offer the best outcome.
Submuscular dual plane transaxillary breast augmentation looks great for a very long time. My patients with saline implants (which do not need to be removed every 10 years) have beautiful implants 15 to 25 years later.
Lift will not make you perkier. Fat transfer is unpredictable and will make you larger. Implants will make you larger but will achieve the perkiness. Laser will do nothing
This is very much not normal practice and is certainly not safe. There are blood supply issues, unpredictability of the cosmetic outcome. You would be turning a cosmetic operation into a reconstructive operation. Just a bad idea
