Had a face and neck lift done by Dr. Vagotis. She is a very professional surgeon and amazing at doing facelifts. My results are better than expected, I look like myself but just more youthful! My family and friends have told me the same thing. Her staff is warm and friendly. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Vagotis to anyone looking to have a facelift.
Excellent experience! Dr. Vagotis was very thorough and attentive, and did a great job on my surgery! I literally have had no pain and minimal swelling-and am pleased with the cost and aftercare given by staff.
Dr. Vagotis + staff exceeded my expectations! The surgery staff were very caring and compassionate. They put my mind at ease and fully trusted Dr. Vagotis to deliver the natural look I envisioned. The healing process was as described and started feel great after 3 days. 6 weeks post op and couldn’t be happier with the results! I highly recommend visiting for a consultation.
Dr. Vagotis and her staff are amazing. I went here for a Breast Augmentation and my entire experience was better than I could ever hope for. Dr. Vagotis listened to what I wanted and made me feel very comfortable. I am extremely happy with my results. I highly recommend Dr. Vagotis. Thank you
I've had a lower face life, an upper/lower blepharoplasty, and a facial fat transfer with Dr. Vagotis. Three separate procedures on different dates. I was the most nervous to do the lower face lift since it would be the first major facial surgery that I've had. I immediately knew during the consult that Dr. V was the doctor I wanted though. She has an incredibly professional, confident, and warm nature that you feel as soon as she starts talking to you. It was clear that she had a tremendous amount of experience and expertise. She shared with me the areas of my face that would be improved and by how much. Her estimates for improvement were exciting but always conservative. I appreciated the time she took to manage my expectations in a realistic way but also insured me I would be very pleased with the differences the surgery was going to make. And she was absolutely right. I looked exactly my like myself after I healed, but about 10 years younger IMO I was so pleased with how well everything went I decided to get my eyes done since that was the other part of my face that had always bothered. I had a large amount of excess skin above my eyes and bags were starting to form under them as well. Just like the first procedure, from start to finish, it went incredibly well. The improvement to me on my eyes is dramatic, but again, I still looked exactly like myself. At that point I had gained a tremendous amount of trust working with her and decided to take a risk and do a facial fat transfer. I am very skinny and the lower facelift addressed the laxity in my already thin face, but I thought the fat transfer would help give me a little extra volume since I didn't want to do fillers. This procedure made me a little nervous because you don't really see the final results right away. Your body has to reabsorb some of the fat and that is dependent on your individual body. Dr. V assured me that the way the procedure is performed and how the fat is handled during it, is what makes the biggest difference in retention and she shared with me her realistic expectations about what that would be for me. I'm happy to say that the fat transfer has been one of the procedures I am the most happy with. I absolutely LOVE the volume it put back in my face. I'd say that after the swelling subsided I retained 70-80% and I believe that is because of the care Dr. V took with how the fat was handled during the surgery. Sometime I think about her eventually retiring and I want to cry lol. She is truly so good at what she does and she will be the surgeon I return to for any other procedures I decided to have in the future. I cannot say enough positive things about her.
I have wanted to get my breasts done for years. Before pregnancy and breastfeeding did a number on them even. Before pregnancy and breastfeeding I was an E cup, after I was a deflated D-DD depending on the bra. I choose Dr. Vagotis for my procedure cause she made me feel comfortable, answered any questions I had and understood the look that I wanted. I'm only 1 day post op but I'm pretty sure I made the right choice. Updated on 26 Mar 2022: Figured I'd do an update and also include some more info. Day 2 and 3 were rough. But my boobs seem to be doing well. Idk if it's actually helpful, but I've been taking "HealFast" along with all the other meds. Implants are Mentor memory gel, smooth, round, unders and 800cc. I'm 5'3", 150lbs and 33 years old. I birthed and breastfed 3 kids for all at minimum a year. I'm a pretty open book, so any questions, feel free to ask. Updated on 31 Mar 2022: Starting to feel a bit more normal. Started weaning myself off the meds on day 6 and haven't taken anything except the muscle relaxer today. They still seem to be doing pretty well. Kinda concerned about the steristrips cause the nurse said that they'd fall off in a week or two and they haven't even started coming up yet. Don't know if that means my incisions are taking longer to heal or what but I have a checkup in office this coming Monday. I do have some underlying health issues(Hashimoto's, early onset osteoporosis), so it could be something with them. Either way, I'll do a other update Monday. Updated on 15 Apr 2022: Falling a bit behind on updating. Went to the first check up and they said they were healing nicely and not to be concerned about the strips. That they help take tension off the incisions and that the were fine to stay on longer. Just to trim them as they started coming up. Not much difference from the last set of photos, but drop and fluff is supposed to take like 6 weeks. Still happy with them. Updated on 19 Apr 2022: The steri-strips have finally come off and I can see my aerolas. They look good to me. Went out for the first time in months and got LOTS of attention. They feel good. Firmer(but not hard or anything) than what my natural boobs were, but my natural boobs were also deflated and saggy. Plus they aren't done healing up yet either. So all in all, so far I'm still extremely happy with them. Updated on 25 Apr 2022: It's been a month since I got my breasts done. Started using some scar gel on the scars around my areolias. Haven't noticed any change in them but scars take time to heal and I don't really mind them. I go for my 6 week checkup in mid-May, but I think that'll just be mostly for pictures since they seem to be doing well... atleast in my untrained opinion. Lol. They are settling nicely, are squishy, and fill out tops nicely. Although finding tops has been a bit of a new experience. Never had to buy 2x-3x tops... or 34H bras. It's what I wanted though. Updated on 16 May 2022: Went to my last checkup today. Doc says all looks good. Scars will lighten and diminish as time goes on. Still quite happy with them. They're big and bold, just like I wanted. Not bad for what they were like as a starting point. They are lifted, but not so much that they look fake. They are definitely fuller, but again(and I might be biased), not fake. I was ok with the fake look even, as seen by my wish pics, but I'm happy they turned out as they did. Only issue I see, and it might not even be a thing, but one nipple looks like it's crooked. Updated on 16 Sep 2022: It's been a few months since I last updated. So far I'm still pretty happy with the results. The lift and augmentation gave me back what I lost through pregnancy and breastfeeding. The few people who have seen them couldn't tell they were fake. Not that I necessarily cared if they knew or not, but I think that speaks volumes on how well they were done and have healed. You can still kinda see the scars, but as I haven't really been doing any scar therapy, I'd say they are good as well. I know not everything is about appearance but having this completed makes me have more confidence in myself. No more deflated boobs.
I Highly recommend Dr. Vagotis and her team! I couldn’t be happier with my results!! They were friendly, very timely on scheduling surgery, and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable recovery.
I am one week post op from a breast lift and augmentation and I couldn't be more happy with my results. Staff was amazing and attentive through the whole process. Dr. Vagotis is super personable and down to earth. She joked with me to ease my anxiety and made sure I was informed and comfortable the entire time. Amanda and Sarah always replied back in a timely manner and both have super great personalities. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Can't wait to go back for my tummy tuck.
I had a chin augmentation done by Dr. Vagotis and it has been four weeks since my procedure. I have been happy overall with my experience and wanted to write a detailed review so others can read my testimonial, and consider Dr. Vagotis for their cosmetic concerns. I have lived in the Lansing area almost my entire life and have a background in medical aesthetics. About six years ago I had a client who had undergone a chin augmentation (chin implant), and ever since having talked with her about her experience, I have wanted to have the same procedure for myself. I started to become self-conscious of my weak/recessed chin when I began my journey in the aesthetics industry in 2008, but hadn’t considered surgery until around 2012. Unfortunately, there aren't many cosmetic surgeons in the Lansing area who specialize in or have great experience in facial implants, so, I started searching the Grand Rapids area as I knew that was a popular location for cosmetic surgeons. When I called to schedule my consultation, I was pleased to hear that there was no obligation or fee involved with scheduling. I found that a lot of surgeons charge a non-refundable fee of $80-$100 for a consultation but deduct it from the surgery cost once the procedure is scheduled. I felt comfortable knowing I could start with a zero cost consultation and go elsewhere if I decided to. Needless to say, I didn’t need to. The office was easy to find, quiet, and clean. I didn’t need to wait long, if at all. After filling out a few forms, I was taken back to a consultation room and shortly afterwards greeted by Dr. Vagotis with a confident handshake. We started to discuss my concerns, which I didn’t hold back on. I had several areas, not just my chin, that I wanted to talk about and was curious to see which areas she agreed could use improvement. I was surprised by her honesty as she disagreed with several of my problem areas, stating that she didn’t think the surgery, scars, etc. would be worth it. It was very refreshing actually, because she could have easily accepted all areas and my money but instead chose a modest approach which was to start with my primary area of concern (my chin) and come back later for other areas if I still wanted, and even offered to keep the price quote the same if scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. The amount of confidence for her to assume I would come back for a second surgery said a lot to me, and I agreed it was a good plan. I never once felt rushed, pressured, or judged by her. On the contrary; she was calm, gave me time to talk, and she made me feel like a person, not just a client. Having worked in the aesthetics industry with sales reps, drug reps, laser techs (etc.) who can come on strong and make you feel like a “commissions sale”, I can confidently say she did not once make me feel like I was money in her pocket. After looking at before and after photos together of previous chin augmentations she had performed, I was taken to see Amanda (who ended up being a huge help to me, she is a great asset to Dr. Vatotis’ team), who talked me through the logistics and payment options for the upcoming surgery I could choose or not choose to do. I called back about a week or so later and paid in full! I was terrified, but also excited! I have had a total of 8 surgeries now, this being my second elective surgery (my first being LASIK). Still, I was very nervous. Amanda was quick to respond to every email (I sent a LOT of them) over the next few weeks as my surgery day approached. She was comforting and reassuring, stating she had worked with Dr. Vagotis for 14 years and understood my concerns. Needless to say that when surgery day came, I was excited! After seeing Dr. Vagotis the morning of my surgery, I was reassured again and everything just felt right. We had a brief conversation prior to surgery and looked at photos again. The nurses, anesthesia team, and facility were all wonderful. I was thrilled with my results from the moment I looked in the mirror after surgery. I could see the difference right away! My recovery so far has been about what I expected, I would even say it has been pretty easy compared to my two c-sections and other previous surgeries. I am happy that she kept my chin feminine looking, she did an excellent job with positioning and size selection. I now have a much better looking profile and my chin fits the rest of my face, making my large eyes and nose seem smaller and my neck seem less full. My first post-operative appointment was scheduled for two weeks later and a second post-operative appointment was scheduled for another two months later, for final after photos. A few things I wasn't quite prepared for during recovery were the following: The tape that was meant to stay in place for an entire week melted off my face in just two days. It was a sticky, gooey mess and I asked if it could be taken off early because it just wasn’t staying on. I was not prepared for the pain in my teeth and jaw, swelling under my tongue and jawline, and the bruising that went all the way down to my clavicle. Bruising and swelling were expected, but I wasn’t expecting it to be so much over the first two or three days. I was not prepared for my smile to look like a bad trip to the dentist (but seeing progress every day helped me relax, and as the sensation returned I knew it would soon be back to normal). I was not prepared for the white granulated tissue inside my mouth where the incision was made and the strange sensation of not being able to feel the incision at all. My right side recovered more quickly than my left, leaving me looking lop-sided for about three weeks, but every day got a little better and my smile is almost back to normal now that the swelling is just about gone. I still have a numb spot on my lower lip but I can feel and see the improvement every morning when I wake up. Overall I am extremely pleased with my experience at VAGOTIS Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Center! I would highly recommend Dr. Vagotis and her team for anyone looking to improve their appearance and gain confidence. I have already given her name out as a recommendation.
In 2013, at 21 years old, after an an entire lifetime of obesity (started at 2) I turned to bariatric surgery to get control of my weight. My highest was 402lbs. I weighed 357 when I had my gastric sleeve. I managed to lose 250lbs over the course of about 4 years. I also had 4 children After fighting insurance for over 3 years for an abdomnioplasty, I decided to take matters into my own hands and get it done. And, since I was paying, why not throw in a new pair of kncokers while we were in there? I was a D when I was at my biggest, and I was left with an a/b cup after the weight loss. What I had looked like deflated balloons. I considered the breast augmentation to be reconstructive in nature, just like the abdominoplasty. At first I had planned on a straight augmentation, but after consulting here, I decided on a donut lift as well. I had a very mild degree of ptosis and could have "gotten away" with a straight aug, but I knew I would get the best results with a lift as well. So, last minute, we added that to the surgery plan. My surgery went well. It took about 3.5 hours and a couple in recovery. My pain was very minimal. I found the breasts to be more uncomfortable than the stomach. The stomach was barely painful at all. Less than a C-section I'd say (I've had 2) I healed very quickly. My suregon was shocked by how quickly I healed. But that has happened with every surgery I've had so that wasnt a surprise. I did develop a hemotoma at about 4 weeks post-op which was incredibly painful, but it resolved quickly. I'm very happy with Dr.Vagotis, her staff, her bedside manner, her facility, and her work. I love my results. I'm not 100% in love with the top part of my stomach, but that's just how my skin is. I had a lot of stretch marks and it was looser on one side to begin with. My breasts are also not 100% even, but I was very assymetrical to begin with and they're much more even now. Plus, they're not done settling and they get more even all the time. All in all I'm very happy and I would do it again a hundred times over. I have more work to get done. Arms for sure. Thighs. Maybe a bra line lift and a BBL but we'll see where life takes me. I was so miserable with my body. There was not a single time in my life that I can remember not having the belly "apron", so being without it now is surreal. I love it so much. I live buying clothes and looking in the mirror. Sex is better. Life is better. If you're wondering if it's worth it, especially my post weight loss friends, the answer is yes. Your body is worth the money. It's the most important thing you could invest in IMO. You only get one. It should serve you well. And you deserve to feel as good about it as you can. Go for it. You won't regret it.
I and many other PS in our area offer complimentary consultations for cosmetic procedures. This information should be disclosed to the patient when the initial appointment is being made. Never be afraid to ask the office for fee amounts for consults or office procedures such as Botox, fillers, etc.
Shellabella, have you contacted the physician who performed the injections? He/she will want to know you are experiencing headaches after the injection to determine the reason why, give you proper course of treatment and suggestions, as well as it needs to be documented in your chart for next time. Dysport is a great product but there are others out there to try too. Best of luck to you.
I agree it appears you may need revision surgery in the future but it is too soon to tell at 5 wks post op. As far as having something done in the office, this would need to be done in an operating facility under anesthesia. Best of luck to you.
