I had a wonderful experience at Smile Hair Clinic in Istanbul. I'm 51 years old and I figured this was a great time to have this procedure done, in all honesty I wish I had done it sooner. My procedure was on April 29, 2025. Smile Hair Clinic really makes it easy for people coming from all corners of the world. The clinic arranges all transportation and hotel booking; I booked the flights several weeks in advance of my appointment. All communication is done in WhatsApp. I left the U.S. on Sunday evening and arrived in Istanbul Monday afternoon. The clinic has a driver pick you up at the airport, he takes you to a 5-star hotel, the next day the driver takes you to the clinic where you'll meet with the medical team and you'll have your procedure that day. The next day again, a driver drives you from the hotel to the clinic where you'll have your post-op appointment, then drives you afterwards to the airport to fly home. At the clinic, I met guys from Russia, the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S. Some people choose to stay an extra day or two, but in my case, I was only there for 3 days. It's been 11 weeks since my procedure and I'm very happy with the results so far. After 6-9 months I'm sure the results will be even better. We had only 3900 grafts to work with in my case, the other guys I spoke with, who were all younger I think, had a higher number of grafts than me, but everyone's different. The medical team were very professional and excellent; communication was never a problem. I was assigned to Dr. Ahmedov and he knows his stuff, he is very knowledgeable, he advised where my new hairline should be, and I agreed 100%. Since I'm in my 50s I wanted something age appropriate. Smile Hair Clinic really takes care of you; they treat you like a VIP. So don't worry about logistics because everything is arranged for you. Best of luck!

Hello, The overall experience with Smile Clinic was great from pre and after the operation. They did a fantastic job at organizing all the shuttles in coordination with the flight. The procedure it self took less time than expected. I didn’t feel a thing. My experience with my doctor was great as he did a good job at explaining how the process will go. Although, he wasn’t doing the procedure, he was there to supervise all the time. The staff was very friendly and so was my Patient Experience Case Manager Ceren. I can’t wait to the results in a couple of months. Overall, I’m satisfied with the results.

The whole experience was great nothing but praise from me. Before I arrived the team were very informative and helpful in what was going to happen and be discussed. Transfers from airport and hotel all very smooth without any issues. Was very easy to get in touch with you at any point which I valued being in another country. I was in Istanbul for three days: • Day 1: Arrival and check-in at the hotel. • Day 2: The procedure. • Day 3: A quick check-up before flying home. All transfers were arranged by Smile, making the process seamless. On the day of the procedure, I was welcomed warmly by the team. The clinic was professional, and the staff were polite, helpful, and made me feel comfortable. There were several forms to complete (lots of repetition when completing these documents) before meeting Dr Firdavs Ahmedov, the Head Smile Doctor. Negatives: For a balanced review, I’ll mention a couple of minor downsides. • Hotel: I chose the basic package (four-star hotel), which included a stay at the Ramada. While the restaurant served great Turkish food, the room itself wasn’t great. The air conditioning was noisy and unreliable, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and I struggled to sleep. This wasn’t Smile’s fault, but if I were to do it again, I might opt for the five-star hotel instead. • Clinic Cleanliness: The only small issue I noticed at the clinic was that the floor in the operating room wasn’t spotless. However, I was staring at it for a long time through the face hole in the bed, so I was hyper-aware of it. It wasn’t a major concern and didn’t impact my overall experience. Final Thoughts: So far, I’m very happy with my choice. It’s difficult to comment on anything else as we are 5 days post-procedure and the final results are a long way off. Dr Firdavs Ahmedov and his team were outstanding, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Now, the key part is the aftercare and seeing the final results over the next 12–18 months. My experience was fantastic from day 1 with smile clinic and Dr Ahmedov. Him and his team treated me so well and the surgery went very well that even on day 3 my healing is going fast with little complications. It is better to do a beard transplant first and 2-3 weeks later perform the jaw procedure. Because during the surgery the patient needs to lay on his face. Ideal world do jaw surgery and 4-6 months later beard or beard and 2-3 weeks later jaw surgery.

Hello, for your case 1 month will be enough for your grafts to be secure. So, you need wait for at least one month to have your PRK surgery after your FUE Hair Transplant Surgery.
Crown area is a little bit more difficult area for transplant comparing to other areas of scalp. It is also important to see the previous photos to decide it is a good result or not. But if you are not comfortable with the results you can demand another operation with a professional to increase the density in the crown. If medication did not work this is a good option.
