I wasn’t able to find a lot of reviews on this type of procedure, so I will review as I recover. Surgery was 6/2, prophylactic mastectomy with direct to implant immediate reconstruction. I had 390cc mentor boost implants placed pre pectoral. Bilateral prevena wound vacs (which were removed at my first post op visit) and 2 jp drains on each side.

To clarify, the rippling seen in the after picture is due to the galaflex used to strengthen the tissue and because of my thin skin. The plan is to do fat grafting in 4-6 months to fill in the rippling. My doctor wants to wait for settling and to ensure I’m happy with the implants prior to initiating the fat transfers.

Really happy with how things are going for the most part. Drains and wound vacs are out, I’m healed to the point of using silicone scar tape and things look good, still rippling from the mesh, still getting used ti huge breasts (to me they are massive). The only complication I’ve had so far is that I got chemical burns on each breast, I believe it is from trying on a surgical bra that I ordered on line. My drains were being rubbed by the surgical bra so I ordered a long line surgical bra and tried it on for fit. It fit well so after about 5 minutes I took it off and had developed redness on both breasts. In two days the redness turned to blisters, which popped a week later and now the blisters are still healing, and will take a while to heal. So just my cautionary tale to wash everything before you wear it! I’ve never had sensitive skin before, but I’ve learned my lesson. Pic of blisters and breasts.

Post op, nipples are very large and very pronounced. It’s fine until I’m at the school drop off or in the pool with my kids and notice people staring, even with nipple covers….
Implants are pretty wide set, will be replaced with a larger wider implant during fat transfer.
