I am recovering nicely after having a breast revision done by Dr. Ellen Robertson. My right breast had been encapsulated for the past 9 years, and had gotten not only painful, but it was time to replace. I was an NPC bikini competitor, and had also burned off most of my natural breast tissue, leaving nothing but implant. I have always had larger implants, but on me , they did not look big. I took out Mentor Round 500 Silicone, and decided on the Sientra 590 HP. I am very happy, and very little pain. I think i will have more fullness (cleavage) and when they drop, they will be perfect! The staff at Clark Institute for Aesthetics are unbelievable, they have checked on me every single day! Dr. Robertson is so kind and really listened to my preferences. This practice is Top Notch, and i was confident in my decision. I will check back in after they have dropped and fluffed.
This was my first time ever going in to have a consultation or anything having to do with cosmetic / plastic surgery. I found Dr. Robertson through other friends that had seen her as well as Dr. Clark. I made my appt. which was super easy over the phone. Walked into the office, which was very nice and comfortable. The gals at the front desk were very helpful and supportive, probably able to tell I was nervous. One of the nurses, Lorra, took me back and gave me directions as to what would be happening during the time we were together and put me at ease! I met Dr. Robertson and completely felt comfortable and at ease, almost like I was just talking to my girlfriend but of course with much more information and options. She ran through multiple options with me, talking me through the best ones for me and my size. I had a very specific image in my head of what I wanted and after discussing everything we did imaging and when it came up on the screen, I started tearing up and smiling ear to ear. It was perfect, she knew exactly the perfect size and shape I needed. I had the procedure done a few weeks later and I seriously am SOOOO happy with the results that I feel so blessed to have such an amazing team and doctor to give me exactly what I've always wanted and for 22 years was so scared to go through with. Now I wish I would have found her sooner but I can rest assured I will be in love with my body and my breasts the rest of my life! I don't think if I wouldn't have had Dr. Robertson come into my life, I still would be wanting this but would still be waiting for that perfect doctor and team! I found it and couldn't be more happy! Thank you so much for making my dream a reality! You really are amazing at what you do!!
Hi there, great question. Needles are traditionally used to inject dermal fillers, but they can be uncomfortable and require multiple pokes. With a cannula you can often have just 1 or 2 access points, so less needle sticks in the sensitive layer of the skin, to treat a fairly large area. Cannulas are also blunt at the tip and so less traumatic to the tissue. I believe cannulas are safer to use in delicate treatment areas such as the tear trough. However, there are some areas and instances where a needle is necessary! Hope this helps.
Hi there, excellent question. I would not recommend placing a Juvederm product in the tear trough (below the lower eyelid) because it tends to cause a fair amount of swelling, and this can be a prolonged issue. I prefer to use Belotero or a dilute Restylane product in the tear trough. While fillers in the tear trough can improve shadows in this area, they do not typically directly affect the color. For improving the color, a chemical peel is your best bet. Hope this helps!
