Halo Laser Results on Acne Scars

I had a few months of moderate-severe cytstic acne caused by a medication I was put on called Lamictal after having clear skin throughout my teenage years. Distraught by the scarring left behind I sought help from a dermatologist. She suggested I stop taking Lamictal, prescribed Aczone and Adapalene and suggested the halo laser treatment for scarring once the acne was under control. I had my first treatment in June 2017 and second one in July 2017. The treatment was more painful than I had anticipated, I either have a low pain tolerance or the numbing cream is not as effective on me as it is on most people. The procedure took about 40 mins and I also had my chest done. The doctor said I had a "pretty aggressive treatment" however I experienced minimal swelling or pain after. The only "downtime" needed was that I couldn't go out in the sun or sweat for a few days, looking back I probably shouldn't have gotten this done in the summer but I was beyond ready to address my skin issues. I continue to see improvement in my skin week to week as my scars have been visibly "filling in" with new collagen. The results are definitely worth the pain and the price and I would recommend the Halo laser to anyone suffering from acne scarring.
