Dr. Elizabeth Potter is a fantastic Plastic Surgeon and I recommend her to everyone researching options for breast reconstruction. From my first consultation to my post surgery visits, I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Potter and her team of nurses, medical assistants and office staff. Dr. Potter is a fantastic surgeon who is also thoughtful, patient, professional and positive. I am six weeks post-op from a prophylactic bi-lateral mastectomy with a DIEP Flap reconstruction. I feel amazing and my recovery has been smooth from day one — I am VERY happy with my results. Thank you to Dr. Potter and her AMAZING team for taking such great care of me each and every visit.
Dr. Potter did my reconstruction after a bilateral mastectomy. I had tissue expanders and implants. She’s very kind, and was helpful in helping me decide which implants and where to end up in terms of size. I felt very comfortable with the whole process, which was not painful. Her staff is also very kind and responsive. I may go back to Dr. Potter one day for fat grafting, but I’m very happy with my results the way they are.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Potter. She performed my breast reconstruction after a lumpectomy. Not only am I absolutely thrilled with the results, but she made the entire process so easy.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. And after surgery and radiation, I wasn't happy with the appearance of my breasts. I didn't really think there was much I could do about it, so it took me two years post-treatment to do anything about it. When I interviewed plastic surgeons, the last one I met with was Dr. Potter, and I knew instantly that she was the perfect fit. She was friendly, funny, positive and really put me at ease. My husband was with me that day, and upon getting into the car after my appointment, he said, "She's "THE ONE," isn't she?" Yes! And a million times to that. Basically, the radiation treatment shrunk my breast tissue and left me lopsided. I also had some divots and scarring that I wasn't a big fan of post-surgery. I wasn't sure what to expect, but Dr. Potter gave me some options, and after careful consideration, I decided to go with the fat grafting surgery. She was really informative and thorough and calmed my nerves on surgery day. My husband was not able to take off work and be with me, but for the first time, I wasn't worried about going under and having this done because it felt like an old friend was operating on me. And that's the best way I could explain it to him. She is super skilled in the breast cancer aspect and equally talented in the cosmetic realm, so I got the best of both worlds when I picked her. She fixed my divot, my scars and evened me up, and I couldn't be happier with my results. Today, she's also my "go to" for any cosmetic issues I have. She and her staff are top notch and go out of their way to provide compassionate care. It's because I admire her so much that I began writing for her practice several years later. She was the silver lining of my cancer experience, and I'll always be appreciative to her for the way she treated me in those times of self-doubt and fear.
Dr. Potter is an extremely skilled surgeon. Excellent bedside manner. Very nice staff and support personnel. I had breast cancer and had a double mastectomy with deip flap reconstruction. Dr. Potter was my plastic surgeon and saw me through the entire process. A year after my initial surgery, she did touch ups to make everything pretty. I had a my breasts evened up and abdominal scar revision. I also asked additionally for lipo of my back flanks and BBL while I was getting my touch ups done. I am so pleased with her work. She's allowed me to feel amazing with the work she's done. I am cancer free and look and feel amazing. I can't thank her enough.
I actually never got to see the doctor. I sent them one photo and they had me talk on zoom to a PA. I had a bilateral mastectomy with implants over the muscle. There’s so rippled I look like a bear Clawed me. The PA told me over the phone that that’s My issue very very complicated there’s nothing she can do. It’s not really that complicated you put the implant under the muscle.. then of course like my Plastic surgeon that initiated this disaster she said I was thin yes, I’m thin But not too thin. I also had a mastectomy which takes out all the breast Tissue.what are these people expecting of me?
You can expect to experience some degree of swelling following a breast augmentation which may be most notable in the upper portion of your breasts. Many women are able to go out in public 1-2 days after surgery with a supportive bra. Swelling is mild and the majority of swelling typically subsides 4-6 weeks following your surgery. If implants are below the muscle, the implants take 2-8 weeks to settle into position, and may appear higher on the chest call than desired for this period of time before they settle into the perfect spot! Your plastic surgeon will provide you with post-operative care instructions and follow up; however, you should always contact your plastic surgeon if you have questions or concerns during your recovery.
