QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Am I an eligible candidate for a hair transplant surgery? 24 years old. (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You are 24 years old with significant hair loss and a lot of questions.  The best course of action is to find a qualified hair loss expert for evaluation and a comprehensive treatment plan.  You can find this type of service at no charge in a number of hair transplant practices.  Once you are evaluated and a comprehensive plan is established, the path forward will be more clear and likely it will include a hair transplantation procedure.  The number of grafts will depend on the size of the area to be treated.

3 months after, tranplanted hair still looks the same as day one

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It just takes forever for grafts to grow it seems.  Typically the grafts take about 3 months to start producing new hair.  And on top of that, some of the native (non-transplanted hairs) in the recipient area shed due to the manipulation of the scalp and they too take 3-6 months to regrow as.  In short the transplanted area will look worse after 3 months than when you started.  Take heart though.  You should begin to see improvement very soon.  In my experience, 3 months is the low point for density.

Rubbing off scabs/crusts 4 days after FUE.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It's as simple as that!  In my experience the grafts are secured in place by the normal healing process by day 3.  I have tried several times to disrupt grafts from their bed by gently washing at 3 days and they do not move.  If viable grafts are dislodged there is bleeding from the site.  It's as simple as that!

I have read that Artas works best on straight black hair. Is this an option for gray hair? Wavy or curly hair?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

In my experience the ARTAS over the past 5 years, there are methods to apply ARTAS to almost every hair type including wavy hair, curly hair, gray hair or blonde hair.  I have treated all these and more so do not hesitate to seek consultation from a physician who has ARTAS for your evaluation and treatment.

Propecia/or generic form. After taking for almost a year and a half wanted to quit, yet afraid shedding more. What to do? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Propecia works white you are taking it.  If you stop, the benefits are lost, and in a man losing hair that means resumption of the progression of your problem.  Instead of being discouraged by your results, double down with another of the many treatments shown to improve thinning hair, Low Level Laser treatment and/or minoxidil.  To really see more dramatic improvement in your appearance, consider a hair transplantation procedure and see a qualified hair transplant expert.  And stay on the Propecia, it's a smart thing to do.

Thanks to Dr. Suddleson and his team for a wonderful experience

Dr. Suddleson and his team were outstanding, I could not have asked for a better experience. The team was very professional and caring, I truly felt welcomed and like I was their highest priority for the whole day, they continuously asked if I needed anything and were very concerned with my comfort all day. Dr. Suddleson spent the time to go over exactly what was going to happen during the day and asked many times if I had any questions and continued to explain everything that was happening through out the day. The procedure went as Dr. Suddleson described, I had no pain, they used a small vibrator when giving me the Novocain which amazing masked any sensations. I am very happy with the results, the area where the hair was removed from looks just like it did when I walked in to the office. It is early to see the final results as the hair needs to grow in but from what I can see it appears the results are going to be excellent. I will recommending Dr. Suddleson to everyone I know.
