Being someone who had mulitple plastic surgeries done in South Korea, I know an experienced plastic surgeon when I see one. Dr. Monasebian is defintely one of them. I chose him because he's only of the few surgeons who has the clinical experience and expertise to remove temporalis muscle (most plastic surgeons don't have experience in this procedure) and the result is what I anticipated. Other than that, everyone in his clinic is always professional. His nurses are all babes. Clinical experience and outstanding patient care are what you need to look for in a plastic surgeon.
Dr. Monasebian is truly an artist! I went to him for rhinoplasty and I couldn't be happier with the results. He's very thoughtful and truly cared about my procedure. I have and will continue to recommend him without reservation!
I had a great experience with Dr. Monasebian! He took a lot of time to listen to each of my concerns regarding my skin and aging and suggested Juvederm fillers to address my issues. My results were natural, aesthetically sound and virtually undetectable. I will definitely be returning.
I went in for a tummy tuck and breast implants. I lost over 125lbs and had little to no breast tissue in my breast and saggy skin around my stomach. I could be any happy with the natural results. I have the perfect breast size and all the saggy skin is gone. I am going back to remove the saggy skin on my thighs and butt area in February. Dr. Monasebian and his staff are the absolute best. Mad me feel like I was their only patient. ????
Dr. Monasebian will bring any fears or nerves you may have on proceeding with plastic surgery to a halt. He is the most compassionate, skilled, and humble doctors I have ever encountered. I met my "Dr.", as I refer to him, from a family friend's recommendation, who himself, is also a plastic surgeon. He has decades of success stories under his belt, and it was easy to go with his recommendation of Dr. Monasebian. Over the past two years Dr. Monasebian has made my nose beautiful through rhinoplasty. He has also, most recently, gave me a part of what being a woman means, which I have never had....breasts. My BA was efficient, barely painful, and within one week I am moving about with ease. I am an attorney and am a busy woman. But writing this review was something I, on my own, wanted to do because whoever proceeds with PS and does not first consult with Dr. Monasebian will be doing themselves a disservice. To say I love Dr. M. is an understatement, he brought me to a place in my life where I am not only confident, but in love with myself. And THAT is priceless.
My chin was prominent and pointy which was more apparent when I smiled so I decided to have chin reduction surgery. I did a diligent research about the procedure and plastic surgeons and I found out that it is not an easy procedure especially when it involves reducing horizontal projection of the chin. The procedure went very good. On the 7th day I was able to go back to work. It's been 12 days now and the swelling has subsided considerably. It's definitively worth it, but one needs to be careful with choosing the right surgeon (maxillofacial surgeon). I am very lucky I choose Dr.Douglas Monasebian. Read my review below.
I'm day three post op and let me just say that the pain is more manageable than I could have ever imagineed. At this point I am able to walk around with just the sore incision but overall doin pretty well as far as pain is concerned. My stomachs a litlle numb but it is so flat!! I haven't even unwrapped all o the bandages and Im so please This was worth every penny!!!
Slowly losing vision in the right eye. Also, I have been in chronic pain in my right eye, and I have been taping my eyes shut every single time I need to sleep, I am very stressed, and losing sleep due to the chronic pain, and the taping of the eyes. Also, taping when napping, and taping on the airplane, and being clever with sunglasses, when traveling is horrible. When I went back to Doctor Monasebian, after the surgery, for my first follow up and he removed the bandages, he immediately became nervous and jittery, and I said things don’t look and feel right. He was very rude, extra nervous, and I had not been to a 2nd, or 3rd follow up yet with him. So it wasn't like I had been complaining, obviously he was already jumping the gun, because he knew he had already done something wrong. I even had a witness in the room for this follow up, my spouse. For the first surgery I was under general anesthesia, sleeping. For the second surgery I chose local anesthesia, awake, because he was supposedly correcting something, and since things didn’t go right for the first surgery, being under this local anesthesia I could watch what he was doing. Because I was awake, I was able to see that Doctor Monasebian did something very strange, he mashed down on my eyeball several times, and I thought, Im not a doctor, but this doesn’t seem normal. After checking with another plastic surgeon, I was informed that mashing down on the eyeball is not normal, and it is not something one must practice under any circumstances. After this surgery things were still not corrected, so I sought for advice from other plastic surgeon’s. One plastic surgeon had to pointe out to me, that I must tape my eyes shut, because Doctor Monasebian did not inform me, that my eyes were not closing properly, after his botched surgery. Thanks to this surgeon, I now know why my eyes were in chronic pain, and bloodshot all the time, because the doctor took off too much skin. Other problems that arose from the bad surgery. After surgery my eye was swollen like a baseball, and Doctor Monasebian said it was normal. Other surgeon’s said the eye will never swell like that, and obviously Doctor Monasebian didn’t know what he was doing. Right eye always dripping, Doctor Monasebian said that’s normal, other surgeon said, is he crazy? My eyes are still red and blood shot all throughout the day. Whenever I lay down on my right side, there is a sharp pain in my right eye. Soars and scabs around the eyes from taping them shut everyday. Another plastic surgeon evaluating the surgery said to me, “is Doctor Monasebian a real plastic surgeon?”
Unfortunately, I inherited a severe overbite from my dad's side of the family. I had two oral surgeries, years of braces, and my orthodontist recommended I consider getting jaw surgery at age 18 to correct my bite completely. I'm 20 years old now, and while my overbite doesn't bother me, I don't like the way it makes the lower half of my face look. My chin is short, making my face look round. I also have a deep labiomental fold that makes my chin look pointy in my profile. My insecurity led me to research surgeries that can be done to correct it. My two options are orthognathic surgery, jaw surgery where my lower jaw would be moved forward to fix the skeletal problem causing the odd appearance of my chin, or sliding genioplasty, a surgery that fixes just the cosmetic appearance of the chin as opposed to the bite. I decided to opt for the sliding genioplasty since jaw surgery is a much more complicated and invasive procedure that has more potential complications and requires a much longer recovery. I also didn't want to have to wear braces for another year which would be the case if I decided to go the orthognathic surgery route. I met with both a plastic surgeon and maxillofacial surgeon before deciding to go with Dr. Monasebian, a Manhattan-based doctor who is both a plastic and maxillofacial surgeon. I've had one consultation with Dr. Monasebian so far, and I felt extremely comfortable around him and his staff. The doctor was extremely informative and knowledgeable, and he took his time explaining everything to me. Nurse Samantha is very friendly and made me feel very at ease, even while discussing an insecurity that I'm embarrassed to talk about. The only staff member I wasn't completely thrilled with was the patient coordinator. I can't explain exactly what rubbed me the wrong way, but I didn't get good vibes from her. Dr. Monasebian recommended that I undergo a sliding genioplasty to move my chin down and lengthen my face. He also recommended that I have chin liposuction to remove the fat that's under my chin as a result of my overbite. He informed me that my recovery from these procedures would take about 10 days before I could resume normal activity, and I would experience swelling, bruising, and feelings of tightness in my bottom teeth. The doctor thinks that it'll be a big improvement and a better alternative to undergoing jaw surgery. He mentioned that although it is not a common procedure, he has performed many sliding genioplasties in is 20 plus years of experience as a plastic surgeon due to his training as both a plastic and maxillofacial surgeon. I left Dr. Monasebian's office feeling incredibly excited and at ease. I'm currently in the process of getting x-rays from my local dentist to send to Dr. Monasebian before my digital imaging consultation next week. During this appointment, Dr. Monasebian will use the latest technology to show me my projected result based on my x-rays. After that, I'll likely make a pre-op appointment either in Manhattan or somewhere closer to where I live to get blood work done and then I'll book my surgery for mid-May. I'll be back to report on my appointment next week!
