Dr Mistry was amazing. She takes time to talk with you (explaining everything and answering questions) and size you herself, not her other staff. I was most impressed with her ability to listen very intently to what I was asking for and then her perfectionism when performing the surgery. I was very specific about not having implants that were too big, I wanted a very natural look. In the end she listened carefully to my requests and I am extremely happy with my results.
I have had 4 children and all of them were c-sections. My baby is now 13 and I am sick of the skin that hangs over my scar and all the loose skin above it. I am 42 and ready to finally be happy with my stomach and body.Updated on 27 May 2012:I am 2 days from surgery and both excited and nervous. I think at this point I just want it over, probably over prepared. I am cooking 20 meals today to put on the freezer for the fam. My husband leaves on June 17th to climb a mountain in Ecuador so I think the meals will help me too later in June. That way my 13 yr old can throw them in the oven. Didn't get the recliner but got stuff to sit very upright in my own bed and a bed tray that has spot to put stuff. Thanks to everyone for posting your PO stories it has helped me feel more prepared for what is to come. Before pic coming tomorrow.Updated on 6 Jun 2012:Day 8 PO got out one drain and the stitches in my BB. Drain coming out didn't hurt just an odd sensation. I feel really good today and my PS said it looked really good and I should try to start walking as upright as I can. Getting the other drain out next Monday even thought it was ready, due to her going out of town this weekend and she didn't want something to happen and I get it tapped over the weekend for to much fluid build up, so I understand even though I wish she would of. Happy with my results so far as is my PS, she was impressed with my recovery and the look of my incision. Still swollen and feel tight especially around my BB but sleeping with less pillows and on my sides more. Lipo is bruised still and tender but not as bad as I expected. my back and hips hurt the worst mostly at night so she changed me muscle relaxants for bed time instead of percocet. So hopefully I can get past the constipation and stool softeners soon. Had a glass of wine last night and actually ate a meal for lunch today instead of a few bites. each day gets better so hoping when I go back to work next Wed I will survive a 5hr shift out of my normal 11hrs.Updated on 9 Jun 2012:Day 11 PO, feeling good and not alot of pain. Tried on cloths yesterday and excited to see how well they look already. I am down 2 sizes in my pants and think after the swelling goes down I might be 1 or 2 more size down from there, so very happy with the results. BB is going in finally and my incision looks good. This last drain is really uncomfortable and burns alot but my draining is up from two days ago so I think I probably over did it yesterday. Husband and I did "IT" last night and it didn't hurt but a little sore in my abs today and more drainage this am so I think we will wait awhile before round 2, LOL. Everyday gets better and starting to feel more normal. Sick of the compression garment and the tight numb feeling in my abs but I know it will pass. Showered all by myself yesterday and with no garment, it was heavenly. Been massaging my abs and scar and putting some oil my chiropractor gave me on my incision plus some cream the PS gave me so hopefully it will turn out good. Walking fairly straight and have more energy each day but tired today and kinda achy. Well so far so good looking forward to each day close to normal.Updated on 14 Jun 2012:I have four kids and all were c-sections which left me with sagging stomach and a roll of skin that went over my scar that I could not get to go away no matter how much exercise I did. Ready to have a beautiful tummy and feel sexy and comfortable in my cloths.Updated on 14 Jun 2012:Day 16 PO got my last drain out yesterday and went to work for awhile and felt pretty good. Sore and stiff at the end of the day and ready for bed but good for my first day back. So happy to have my drain out since it was starting to hurt but woke up this am with some fluid build up and have even more tonight. Worried I will need to have it tapped and don't have time in my schedule to see PS to do it. Put on tighter garment to go to bed and hope it will absorb in the night or at least decrease somewhat. Other then the tightness from the seroma I feel great and pretty much back to normal. Still sore and achy at night and using either a muscle relaxant or percocet to sleep but I think that will get better soon as my body gets used to working again.
