Before finding Dr Diane Hartman, I had spent years seeing docs regarding vaginal/urinary issues, trying various meds and otc products, many times being prescribed antibiotics and/or antifungals, but found no lasting relief of itching, burning, painful symptoms, and frequent UTIs. After an examination, Dr Hartman talked with me at length about vaginal dryness/atrophy, which was a major contributing factor in my overall vaginal, genital discomfort. and other symptoms. She thoroughly explained the diVa treatment process, and I decided to proceed with a series of three treatments, one month apart. (Total cost for all three treatments was $3000.) I went to my first treatment armed with a sedative to boost my courage. Dr Hartman had assured me that the procedure would be only mildly uncomfortable, but a laser in my vagina?! The procedure was quick, mildly uncomfortable, and I went grocery shopping immediately after. The last two treatments, sedative free, one month apart, were equally quick and easy. It has been 2 months since the last of my treatments and I am so thankful to have done it! The internal burning and discomfort I've felt for years is completely gone and my other symptoms are greatly improved. I wish this treatment had been available to me 20 years ago!
I’m a 43 year old woman whom has had multiple vaginal births, slight incontinence and vaginal dryness. Not having significant leakage I didn’t feel I was wanting to go on medication quite yet. I also wasn’t severe enough I was in need of surgery. After looking into multiple options, Dr.Diane Hartman, suggested the Diva vaginal therapy as an alternative. I have now had all three treatments and am thrilled to say my incontinence gets better every day and is near null. My dryness is completely gone. I have lubrication I forgot existed and have noticed everything feeling tighter. It definitely has made everyday dryer and sex more pleasurable. Thanks again for making me feel comfortable and like this was not something to be ashamed of. Thrilled!
I'm 35 years old having problems with urinary frequency and leaking. I didn't want to have surgery or be on medication for the rest of my life, so I was so relieved that Dr. Hartman had a solution for my problem called the Diva. Even better she got me in for my first treatment the next day! She spent a significant amount of time with me going over the process. I've had two out of my three treatments and the difference thus far is truly life changing! Dr. Hartman has impeccable bedside manners. It's been an honor having her as my physician.
I had a hysterectomy 28 years ago. Ever since, I have struggled with multiple UTIs (including sepsis), vaginal dryness, and incontinence. I have had three follow on surgeries to correct a falling vaginal wall. I have an interstem device to help with my over-active bladder. After only one of three DiVa treatments, I am sleeping through the night; I can go to multiple stores without visiting the bathroom; I can sit through a movie without having to go; I can go on a long drive. My quality of life has improved so much! I cannot wait to see what kind of improvement I have after the next two treatments.
My experience was top notch! Dr Hartman did everything to ensure I was comfortable during my treatment. You can tell she cares deeply about her patients and her bedside manner was like no other. I also really like that she did the treatment herself. Great experience with an even better doctor.
This is a great question! Typically I recommend no intercourse for 48 to 72 hours after the treatment. Some patients may feel uncomfortable having intercourse for up to a week after the procedure, as every patient is a little different. You should have significant improvement in the comfort of penetration and the amount of lubrication after diVa vaginal laser treatments.
The typical discomfort and or cramping after diVa vaginal laser is minimal in my experience. The cramps and mild sunburn sensation in the vagina is typically gone within a few days, and usually does not limit a woman's activity level (except for intercourse for 48-72 hours).
