I remember my Mom always complaining about her neck. She had the loose skin in the neck area that always bothered her. I would say, “You look fine,” because I loved her just the way she was but she didn’t like it and wore scarves to try to cover it. It wasn’t until I was in my sixties that I realized I had the same neckline and it really bothered me too. I finally decided to make an appointment with Dr. Schimpf at Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery. This surgery was no ‘picnic’ but it was well worth it. I am so pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Dr. Dennis Schimpf if you decide that this is something you want to do. This was a decision that I made after careful consideration and I am so glad that I did. Susanne H.
Dr. Schimpf and his staff are amazing ! They took excellent care of me ! I had a tummy tuck to close my diastasis recti and also a breast implant exchange surgery . I am extremely happy with my results ! I had a huge scar near my belly button from childhood surgeries and Dr.Schimpf was able to remove that for me . It’s only been 3 weeks and it looks good , imagine when all the swelling goes down . Thank you Dr.Schimpf , you are amazing .
Couldn't better happier with my breast augmentation results from Dr. Schimpf. The staff is super friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home. It has been a smooth process for me and I truly believe it is because they listen and care. I went to their Nexton office and it is new and beautiful and clean. Highly recommend Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery and Dr. Schimpf.
I am *EXTREMELY* pleased with my results from Dr. Dennis Schimpf. If you are looking for *AMAZING* results, do yourself a favor and look no further. It was one of the best decisions of my life and you will not be disappointed with Dr Schimpf’s work. I was very afraid of getting my breast reduction done but I was put at ease with Dr Schimpf and his staff. Every single person I have met at his offices have been very helpful, positive, and attentive. The only negative thing I have to say is on myself-why didn’t I have this done years ago? Thank you Dr. Schimpf and everyone at Sweetgrass putting me at ease and exceeding my expectations.
I recently decided to get neck lipo after realizing that it’s 100% a genetic issue in my family on both sides and no amount of weight loss would help me. I weighed 135 at one time in my life and still had a few extra chins to spare lol. Anyways, I had previously had work done in 2016 at Sweetgrass and was blown away by the treatment I received before, during, and after the procedure so I didn’t even shop around when I booked this procedure. As expected, the team didn’t disappoint. Everyone was wonderful. My only “complaint” is that I didn’t have an actual consultation with Dr. Schimpf before the morning of, I assume since it was such a simple procedure. I am excited to see the results as they even out, but so far (after 30ish hours) it’s looking good! Updated on 8 Nov 2021: Still have a little bit of swelling, so I'm trying not to get discouraged. I healed really well and was told that at about 3 months is when I should be 80% of the way to my final results. Knowing that made me feel much better! My biggest issue thus far is that I seem to have suffered some nerve damage that impairs my speaking and ability to open my mouth as wide as I could before. Talking is uncomfortable (even painful after a long day) and I have to use my tongue to push my bottom lip out in order to bite into just about anything. I was told this could take up to 6 months to resolve. I wish I had known about this risk prior to, but it likely wouldn't have swayed me TBH. It's just irritating. Will update again in a few weeks! Updated on 10 Oct 2022: It looks like I never even had the procedure. No changes in weight, and I did everything as prescribed. When I went in for a follow-up over the summer they agreed to do the procedure again because they also agreed that there were no changes in the appearance of my double-chin. They were going to do it at no cost, but said I would have to pay for anesthesia OOP for $500+/- or could just talk a Valium. I scheduled then backed out after a family emergency, which gave me more time to think about if I wanted to go through it again and risk even more permanent nerve damage (my bottom lip is shot and my smile is ruined) and have to go get my neck essentially shanked on nothing more than Valium. I was very disappointed they didn't offer to do the full procedure at no cost. Because of that and the risk of further damage, I've opted to not get the revision.
So I have always had uneven, drooping breasts for as long as I can remember and it has always bothered me. About a cup size difference. I couldn’t wear regular cup bras because if I bought it to match the smaller side, the other boob would be noticeably spilling out but if I bought it to match the larger boob, I would not be able to fully fill the cup on the other side. So for years I bought bandeau swimsuits and sports bras without cups to do my best to hide it. Halter top? Hell no. Cute little triangle bra? Nope. I didn’t even bother going to get fitted for a bra because I knew what the outcome would be. So I started looking for plastic surgeons and I actually cancelled the consultation with another surgeon closer to my area because of the 75$ consult fee, which I thought was a lot considering you’re going to spend thousands on the surgery anyway. So I backed out last minute because I just didn’t want to do that. So the next on my list, the highly acclaimed Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery in Summerville. I saw a few before and after photos and read the many reviews and I really liked what I was seeing, with only a couple of mediocre or negative reviews, which I usually take with a grain of salt anyway. So I had a wonderful COMPLIMENTARY consultation with Dr. Dennis Schimpf via FaceTime and he took all the time I wanted to answer questions and explain the procedure and how he would perform it. He made it sound so simple! Anyway, I was sold on him as my surgeon, especially considering the cost of the surgery, and the quote was sent to me within the hour after ending our call. Everything was included in the total cost which was about $5600. Much lower than what I had thought it would be! I actually got a little concerned because a lot of times I think spending more money on something makes it the better option, which isn’t always true. I this case, I think I got the best new titties that money can buy. But skilled this man is!!! I am literally OBSESSED with my new boobs and I cannot even begin to say what it has done for my confidence. They are extremely even, considering the severe asymmetry he had to deal with. I had the anchor incisions done to be able to remove a decent amount of breast tissue on the larger breast to get it even with the other one and then he lifted them both up so they are perfectly perky even without a bra! I still can’t believe the results are so wonderful. I have some sensation in one nipple and little to none in the other but I honestly don’t care if the sensation returns or not, I just thought I would include that in case that is something that bothers you. It can take many months to fully return anyway and I’m only a month and a half post-op. (Bonus: Everyone at Sweetgrass is beyond kind and accommodating and I appreciated everyone for their pleasant attitudes and professionalism.) Genuinely the best money I have ever spent. Thank you Dr Schimpf!!!, Updated on 29 Aug 2020: Here is my latest update, 1 month and 3 weeks post surgery. So happy with them and the swelling has gone down amazingly well. I went and bought a bunch of new bras and my boobs actually stay put in them! And I feel a bit more lighter because of the little amount of weight off my chest area. They are healing great and I’ve been using my scar gel usually twice a day, but sometimes I forget so it isn’t always every day. No more post op appointments until November when they want to see me just to see how I’m healing and whatnot.
I got a breast augmentation 6 weeks ago with Dr Schimpf and I couldn’t be happier with my results! Him and his staff were amazing and my breasts look great. The recovery was easier than expected and I would recommend him to anyone who needs cosmetic surgery!
I'm very happy with my results with the fat transfer to my face. I still need one more round but so far I have gotten good results. He was very understanding about something I was concerned about that I had done in the past and very helpful. I love everyone at Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery, they have the best service
When I choose Dr. Schimpf, I was looking for the best plastic surgeon and I did a lot of research. Money was not a consideration, I just wanted someone to fix a poorly done breast lift I had 10 years ago after I breast feed. After reading his reviews and asking around about his reputation I knew I found the right doctor. I had lots of options to choose from in my city but he came highly recommended for a reason. There was not one time that I doubted his skill and experience. He is extremely talented and for the first time in a long time, I am proud of the way my breasts look. In fact I cannot even believe how good they look. I feel like they belong to a 20 year old and not a 40 year old. Dr. Schimpf and his staff are kind, caring, compassionate, and flexible. I would 100% recommend him with all of your plastic surgery work. If you do not have the money to afford him, I would suggest saving up and have the best do it because you won't be disappointed. .
He and his staff deserve more than 5 stars! He is passionate and listens. I went in needing revisions from a different surgeon in the charleston area and dr Schimpf was able to fix me up! And the cost was nothing compared to the other. I can't believe I didn't find him first! His staff treats you like family the entire time. His nurse, Jessica is amazing and all the staff will make you feel at ease. I found my dr!
Thank you for the photographs and the question. I agree with the answers above in the sense that not having had children and associated issues with diastasis of the rectus muscles, liposuction would seem to be a good fit. In addition your skin appears to be healthy. I have been very happy with the results of smart liposuction in patients such as yourself. The use of laser based liposuction and the associated heat not only helps eliminate the fat, but it also improves overall skin contracture and tightening. Thanks again for your question and best of luck.
There is concern for blood supply to the distal abdominoplasty flap in the setting of a previous kocher incision. Ideally we would like to remove the scar with the procedure. But this is not always feasible. In addition the time period between the kocher incision and the abdominoplasty is important. The longer the time period the better re-established the blood flow will be. I agree it is doable but you should definitely seek the opinion of a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
I completely agree with the other comments. Generally speaking these sutures can be removed with local anesthetic in the office. I no longer use permanent sutures either because I had seen this same issue in some of my patients.
Overall it takes approximately three months for the implants to settle into there final position. Initially they are high and over this time period they drop. They may not necessarily drop at the same rate or equally during the process but they generally even out over the three month period. You look like you are healing very well for being so soon after your procedure.
