Seems that tall women getting implants on realself are few and far between so I want to document my journey for other Amazonian women ;)
Even before my 90 pound weight loss I never really had boobs. I have wanted bigger boobs for as long as I can remember. It's always been hard to find bras that fit. Companies assume if you have a large rib cage, that you automatically have a large cup. And even with weight loss my rib cage will never change, so it's time to get implants to make my body proportionate.
I currently wear a 38b/c. I had a consultation with Dr Kelto in July. He was recommended to me by a friend. At the consultation we talked about the different options. He has the 3D imager which we used. It gives an idea, though there is some distortion so it's not 100% perfect, but it was nice to get a visual understanding of how they will (kinda) look. He has a great bedside manner and I chose to schedule my surgery that day for 10/30.

I chose to go with saline due to the cost difference. I didn't chose a specific size, Dr Kleto explained he takes several sizes into the or and uses his judgement upon seeing the space he has to work with. I explained that I would like the largest he can do. Knowing I have a large frame, I'm not concerned with too big.
I go for pre-testing tomorrow. And I will update on what that all involved.

I keep trying to think of info that others would find helpful, so I keep having to update.
I forgot to mention that I am an avid gym goer. I workout 6 days a week, 2-3 hours a day. I do cardio but lifting is my thing. I am going under the muscle and was worried about distortion and shifting, but after researching and reading tons of bodybuilding articles, I'm not worried about unders. The hardest thing about the surgery will be having to stay out of the gym for so long. I asked Dr Kleto how long I'll be restricted and he said at least 4 weeks before light cardio and 8 weeks before lifting. I'll have a 6 week appointment after the surgery so I will ask again if I really have to wait the full 8 weeks.
I was informed by my surgeons office that pretesting takes 2-4 hours. Well I guess I got lucky (or I'm just healthy lol) cuz total time for testing was about 10 mins. Not going to complain lol. An RN asked some basic health questions and then an anesthesiologist nurse came in and asked me just about the same questions. Since I am not a smoker there was no need for further testing. And I was on my way. I was given pre-op instructions: no food, drink, lotion, meds, etc-basic surgery instructions. Also instructions to avoid blood clots and pneumonia.

Today is the last day I will have small boobs!! YAY!!
I took a week off for the surgery, starting today. So I've spent the day getting the house ready. With both my husband and I being over 6 feet tall, I realized we have lots of items stored above our heads. I got down any snack items that I think I may want. I put toilet paper in both bathrooms at arms length so I don't have to stretch too much. I've assembled pillows by the couch and by the bed to help prop myself up.
I've also been youtubing videos of BA recovery to get an idea of what day to day pain and limitations will be. Looks like day 2 post-op is the worse in general. And now I'm prepared for it.
Since I have left the sizing up to my PS, I had some difficulty in buying a bra to wear after my bandages come off. I wanted to get one before hand because I'm not sure of where my pain and discomfort will be. So I made a guess with a 40D zip up sports bra. I figure that if it doesn't fit and if I don't feel able to go to the store, I'd have at least a reference for my husband to go and attempt to pick one out. Though I'm really hoping that I'll be able to at least have him take me to the store that day and I can find one that works. Better safe than sorry. Imagining him trying to pick out bras with a vague understand of what he's looking for make me giggle :)
As of midnight tonight I can't eat or drink. I have to be at the hospital at 6am with surgery scheduled at 8am. With an hour drive to the hospital, I'm going to be starving by the time I get there. Hopefully the excitement of surgery will suppress it.
I'm hoping to update tomorrow before and after surgery!

I've been home for a little bit from surgery this morning. Everything went well and I feel amazingly good. Even better after I got to eat and drink a gallon of water. Post-op recovery was a little rough for me. Surgery was done at 1045am, but we didn't leave til 2. I just couldn't wake up and was super nauseous. I was given anti-nausea meds and pain killer for the ride home.
I have pain meds, antibiotics and anti-nausea scripts. Which we filled on the way home. I've been dosing on and off, but feel really good. I'm hoping it's the awesome job my PS did and not just the pain pill. I've been walking around the house and even went to the bathroom myself. I find that staying in an upright position on the edge of my couch helps me be mobile. I hope this feeling lasts because it'll be a breeze for recovery!
Implant details:
Right 525cc saline
Left 550cc saline
While marking for surgery, Dr Kleto noticed my left breast was slightly smaller and a little tuberous. Which he will correct in surgery. Can't wait til Sunday to see them.
Now to watch some tv while doing my anti-pneumonia breathing & coughing and leg exercises to avoid blood clots.

Yesterday was a little tougher than the day of surgery, but not super awful. I actually stopped taking my pain meds and went to acetaminophen. The pain meds just made me sleepy.
Before I took a shower this morning, my husband took me to Walmart and get some bras since I was pretty sure the one I picked up on Thursday wouldn't fit. So I got a 40 and a 42 non-cup size sports bra. And after showering still had to have my husband run back to Walmart and get a 44.
Showering was still not easy. I did wash my hair, but washing my entire body was more difficult. There's still arm movements that are hard to do. Like washing my arm pits, but I think it's just getting used to the way the implants feel while moving the muscle.

Day 3 post op.
No pain just "pressure" I guess that's the best description. Just an awkward feeling of you can tell there's something there that wasn't before. I have slowly been trying to do daily things like putting clothes on. Taking the dog out. Just getting used to the way the implants move. There's been weird gurgling too. Putting deodorant on and making a ponytail is still kinda tricky.

I had my stitches out at 6 days post-op. My PS put steri-strips on which are slowly coming off. I don't want to pull them off so I'll just let them do their thing.
He told me to get some Palmer's skin oil to rub on the scar. I haven't started using it due to the steri-strips still on. He showed me how to "massage" the implants. I press up, down and side to side once a day. I'm not sure if he told me how long to do this, but I have a 6 week post-op appointment. I'm going to continue until then and wait for work if I need to continue.
My PS also gave me the go ahead to go back to gym! Which makes me very happy!! Obviously he said no hard running or chest exercises.
I'm still wearing a sports bra. He said I could change to a non-underwire when I feel comfortable. I'm anxious to know what size they are for now; it gives a better idea of what they maybe be after d&f.
I've been back at work for 3 days and I feel pretty normal. The first day was rough. I hadn't stood for 8 hours while on vacation, so gravity took its toll a little. But some acetaminophen helped that.
I'm so thankful for all the info I've found on this site. Because without it I'd probably freak out a little at how differently my breasts are changing. My left is taking longer and still looks kinda square. But after reading and seeing other pictures, I've been comforted in knowing this is completely normal! I continue my review with the hopes of being helpful for other as well. Thank you realself members!!!!

Implants are settling ok. Right breast seems fine. But my left breast was the tuberous one and the implant looks like a small "double bubble" kinda. I'm pretty positive it's still settling into the pocket. I've had some pain in that breast I assume is the muscles and tendons stretching or healing from being cut and shaped for the tuberousness.
