I have been wanting a tummy tuck for years. I run and work out at least 5 days a week yet there is nothing I could do for my loose belly skin and the stretch marks that come along with having kids. I have 2 teenage girls and now that I am done with children i said it was time. I started off with a small 34B and aiming for a C. I won't really know until they settle down the cup size, which i believe it can take 6-12 months. Because one is bigger than the other I have to different CC's in to balance them out. I have 350cc's in one and 320cc's in the other. I also went with a moderate profile. It has been 3 days post op today. I can say I have been doing pretty good considering what I went through. I do have a pain ball to help and have some medication. But I am not really in much pain. I do walk hunched over but I am supposed to awhile. So far, it has been a good experience. Love my doctor and the staff, they made me feel comfortable and trusting. I just can't wait to see my bod in the summer! I have added some before and afters. Updated on 28 Sep 2021: I am still feeling great. Stopped all pain medicine on day 4, now I just take tylenol if needed. I had my 1-week appointment today and it went great! i’m healing perfectly. My wonderful nurse said that I will be able to run/walk in 2 weeks instead of 5weeks, which makes me feel much better. I just can’t do ab work or lift weights till I see the doc at my 1 month visit in nov 4th. The nurse removed my tape and replaced it with new tape, and this should fall off on its own. My drain comes out Thursday. I still have to wear my waist strap everyday, all day for 2 more weeks. I need to wear a sports bra everyday and the band pushing my implants down I wear only at night now. I can start sleeping on my side sometimes which is a relief for me. Otherwise pretty smooth. I am very happy with results so far. I added a couple new pics I took today before my appointment. Updated on 5 Oct 2021: Today marks 2 weeks since my mommy makeover. I can get in and out of bed, sleep on my side, walk a bit faster, stand up a little taller. I got my drain out yesterday, which was a relief. I went back to work today too. Thank goodness it is a desk job because I get tired pretty easy even on small tasks. I know i am impatient, as most of us are in this case, but i cant wait for my breasts to fluff, so, I massage extra everyday. I can now take the tape off of my breast scars and lotion them. My tummy looks flat and pretty smooth. I wear the tape till it falls off on its own. My next appointment is my 30day, with my doc. Looking forward to it. I will update then. Updated on 13 Oct 2021: It is now 3 weeks post op. I am told I can wear my tummy wrap at night only for 3 weeks more. I can not wait for my breast to drop/fluff. They are softer and squishy now. I massage them as much as possible. I started walking today as far as exercise. I still find myself getting tired after a hefty task though so I will listen to my body. May try to jog tomorrow. I still find myself conscious of my belly sticking out in tight clothes. When does that feeling go away? My stomach is still numb. I like my belly button. Turned out better than it started. It has been 4 days of crazy itching, took zyrtec but has not helped. I still have my tape on my tummy incision, my nurse said leave it on until it falls off. Thinking I should pull it off so I can start using scar treatment on it but nervous to have it exposed. I guess I will wait. My breast scars look good. I am learning to sleep on my side with boobs, definitely getting used to. Next appointment is early November with my PS, my 1 month PO. I will share more then. Updated on 18 Oct 2021: Tomorrow marks 4 weeks, i guess not quite a full month. Everything seems easier, sleeping, moving, walking is all back to normal. My tummy incision tape came off so now it is exposed which makes me leery. I wear smooth seamless underwear to make sure the area is smooth. I tried on a bikini today, I haven't worn one since my honeymoon 22 years ago. My boobs are still sitting high but not as high. I feel as if I lost some of my curves from having lipo done to my planks. I don't want to look square-like. My one month visit isn't until November. Updated on 26 Oct 2021: It is 5 weeks post op today and I feel great. Still waiting for my breast to drop/fluff. I am massaging them as told. The scars are lightening up. I been using bio-oil on my scars. My belly button is looking okay, had to us neosporin recently because it started to look infected. My tummy scar is looking better also. There is a few knot-feeling bulges right in the center of the tummy scar that I have been working on. Not sure if its normal or not. One of the best feelings is that I dont have my stomach fat bulging out when i sit. I LOVE the way my body looks in workout clothes and the girls in bralettes. Next week I meet with the PS and can not wait to show him his great work. Updated on 17 Nov 2021: Just as the title says my results just keep getting better. I feel great! I am back to doing hot yoga and also jog a couple days a week. I am thrilled with my results! I am using Bio-Oil on my scars, I try for twice a day. I love how low my incision is. I highly recommend Dr. DeRoberts and would have done it sooner if I knew how smooth my recovery has been. He measured me at 32 Full C but my breast still have more to drop/fluff. Maybe I will update at 3 months. Updated on 16 Dec 2021: I am currently 3 months post up and feeling wonderful. I am back to my old self. Once in a while I will swell a little. My breast are looking awesome too. They have dropped and look so natural. My body looks so much better in clothes. I love dressing up and going out. I feel confidence like no other. No regrets here just wish I did it sooner. My PS is a genius with his hands!
I had TT, MR, BA and lipo 360. I love my results already! He's an amazing, skilled surgeon. And very quick. He did all of those procedures in 3.5 hrs. Bedside manner is excellent and so is his staff! His surgical assistant Mitzie was amazing and so nice as well. Extremely pleased with the results, experience and his entire practice! Updated on 19 May 2021: LOVING my results. Recovery has been great! This thing wants 200 characters, not sure what else to say lol so just writing to add characters................................hgddjhfxcjgdzcv hjkhy gvjjh hhjhy hhg hhff
I had a Mommy Makeover on 11/9/20. I’m not one for making reviews so I’ll give it my best. After having children I knew one day I was going to do this. I’m 35 my kids are 12 & 7. My suggestion would be to read as many reviews and understand as much as you can about your surgery and about implants beforehand - what each kind of implant can do to benefit you so when you walk into your consultation you know what they are talking about when they Say moderate, moderate plus, high profile, etc. everyone’s body is different and maybe moderate plus was great for me but your needs could be totally different. I’m very happy I listened to Dean’s advice on that. Know about CC’s and how many CC’s adds another cup size because I was clueless. I thought I was going to have a breast lift not implants ... not knowing that would have givin me the results I was looking for because my nipples were above my breast line already and I was just lacking in volume. Reading reviews and other woman’s experiences were so helpful for me. I spent hours trying to educate myself. I would say I was mentally prepared. people that you tell about your surgery might say things like why would you do that and or you don’t need it those are your battle scars or that’s a lot of money you could redo something in your house or go on vacation with that. Of course, you still have the positive people as well ... you’re going to look amazing good for you girl or I'’m so jealous I wish I could. I really wanted this so when the comments came I brushed them off because my decision had been made years ago. I can imagine for others how those comments could make you feel guilty for choosing yourself like you doing the unknown and taboo thing or selfish. Moving on to my experience. Dean makes you feel absolutely comfortable during your consultation. He takes his time with you. How I chose Dean, I’ve seen his work on clients and co-workers of mine so I knew ahead of time he does a very nice job. For me the difference between a tummy tuck done by Dean compared to some others I’ve seen. His incision is low and very thin and neat. Not thick scars or high up and straight across. From what I had seen in person and in reviews his work is sexy. And that’s what I wanted. Now, belly buttons are a BIG deal. And he does an amazing job. It’s not just a tummy tuck with lipo. He’s passionate about his work. I was nervous never having any type of surgery besides wisdom teeth. I was made to feel calm and comfortable with his staff. Maryann, Suzaura, and especially Rebecca I believe her name was who was actually in the room for my surgery. Ty you for being so knowledgeable with any questions I had and making me feel comfortable I had a really great experience. Updated on 6 Dec 2020: Still a good amount of swelling on my hips as to be expected, especially by the end of the evening after work and having to be on my feet all day. These are my incisions.. not to bad for only four weeks. Feeling really good. Only a bit of back pain after a couple hrs into my work day.
I had a breast lift with implants on 9/30/2020. The doctor is great, very down to earth and really listens to what you want. The nurses though are the absolute best! Erin, Rebecca and Mary Ann have been so great. They reply to emails and even text messages within minutes! They care so much about how you are feeling and give the best post op care. I would recommend this office 100%!!!!!
I've waited six years to have this surgery. After giving birth I was left with diastasis, hernias, botched belly button due to the two surgeries i had to fix a hernia and remove a tumor and left with wrinkled skin. The more weight I lost the worse my skin became. I was always uncomfortable, my pants would always stab into my stomach or belly button which hurt and I was just so done with the feeling. Updated on 7 Jun 2020: Updated on 7 Jun 2020: My recovery thus far puts me at 6 days PO today and honestly it wasn’t nearly as bad as I feared. I was shocked and happy with how well I did as soon as I woke up in recovery and from then on. I get tingly and burning sensations here and there throughout my abdomen or along the side of my incisions but nothing i can’t tolerate. I’ll say it’s like pain level 2. The only pain I can say is in my back where the lipo took place and that’s when I’m walking around. If i stand or walk longer than 4-5 minutes it reaches to 5. I was pretty tired the first three days but I’ve just been relaxing and watching tv like my normal hours now. Updated on 7 Jun 2020: This is my 4 days PO and I am nervous about my belly button but the swelling is more on one side than the other and I realize it’s still too early and everything has to settle. My appointment is on Tuesday and I hope to get this drain out and all the reassurance I need. So far the staff and Dr have been amazing and I’m really happy with who I chose. They have been so helpful and caring. I will admit i really do love this new shape so far. Updated on 12 Jun 2020: Today marks 11 days post-op. I had my drain taken out last week on Tuesday. It was so nice to get rid of it. I get my belly button stitches out this coming Tuesday. The binder really started digging into my hips and sides so I bought foam to put there and it’s so much better. I noticed a bruise this morning which could have resulted from the shower I took last night, I had to wash my hair and I had to take three short pauses to finish the task (dang curly hair) lol. I also slept on my side for the first time last night, I got the ok last week but I was scared until last night when I just couldn’t sleep so I tried it and it was sore. I was worried so I contacted the nurse and she said it looks like bruising and just to keep an eye on it. Updated on 18 Jun 2020: Here are some comparison pictures! I’m 4 days away from being 3 wks PO. I’m happy my belly button stitches were taken out on Tuesday and I’m really liking how it looks so far. I’m still not 100% to my normal posture yet as well as walking like normal and I have to keep reminding myself to not hunch my shoulders forward and keep them back so i can be straight. I would say that has been the hardest part of this, it just makes me a little emotional because I’m impatient but I need to be patient with this and I know that this will all pass and I’ll be back to normal and be able to twist and bend back. Plus my back needs it, it feels so stiff. I start swelling soon after I wake up, the moving about contributes to that but I know that takes time as well. I forgot to ask at my two wk appt when I would be able to have a glass of wine, I will send my nurse an email at some point and ask her lol. Updated on 21 Jun 2020: These pictures were taken this evening, I’ve been watching the sodium still and I also drink a lot of water everyday. I’m standing better today and basically back to normal, just still have to remind myself to keep my posture. I have been massaging the lipo sites once everyday since two weeks po. Can wait for the swelling to go and I also can’t wait to see what a week from now brings! Updated on 13 Jul 2020: Today marks 6 weeks! I had my appointment last week on Thursday and was cleared to do everything starting today. The last three weeks were a little emotionally draining because I had an issue with my belly button which led to an infection but It is finally healed!!! Tonight is the last night that I have to wear the binder and I’m glad because the thing barely sticks to stay anyway lol. I start swelling around the times 3p-5p (depending on if I’m doing a lot of activity or out in the heat then sooner) and I feel like a blimp by the time I go to bed even though I’m not badly swollen. I haven’t really started working out yet besides going for walks and I did 15 squats today just to see how my body felt doing them. I usually like to push myself and this time I want to start the right way and ease into everything. As for my incision, once the tape started to come off i started using cocoa butter, but for the last four days I’ve been using biocorneum on my incision. Everyday I’m still shocked this is my belly, when I’m feeling bloated I assume there’s this belly in front of me and i go to grab it, when I’m walking I can feel it jiggling, but in reality nothing is there and it’s so crazy! I’m wearing clothes I’d never feel comfortable wearing and I’m so happy I went through with this decision. Dr. DeRoberts is absolutely amazing as well as his staff, I so highly recommend. Updated on 21 Oct 2020: These are some pictures over the course of 8weeks PO to 3 Months PO. I am currently 4 months post op and I will take more updated pictures, I haven’t changed much from 3 months PO. I don’t have much swelling unless I’m working out or if I ate way too much sodium haha, but even then the swelling isn’t that bad visually. Last night I had too much sodium and I felt so unbelievably uncomfortable, that was the worst I’ve felt swollen/bloating wise since this whole surgery and recovery. I should have taken pictures to show how I do get, but I was so uncomfortable, I wanted to roll into a ball lol. I’ve hit a wall lately and been slacking on my diet and not eating that great, so I need to get back Into that as well as exercising. To be continued... Updated on 23 Oct 2020: I am over 4 months PO and in a week and two days I’ll be 5 months PO. I wanted to show the most recent pictures of what I look like and I took these this morning. I am beyond happy with this whole experience still. It was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. The level of confidence I have and the way I feel is just amazing. This was worth everything. I’m so fortune to have the experience and recovery I did because it wasn’t bad whatsoever. I’m applying cocoa butter on my stomach and scar, I try for twice a day but most times just once a day. I do forget here and there. I also have biocorneum still, and I apply that here and there as well. Some days I would like it if I was more on top of my scar so i could try to diminish it as much as possible but most times I guess I’m not really bothered.
I am so beyond happy I went with dr deroberts. He was the first doc I saw for a consultation and after my appointment I told myself he will be doing it! Wonderful experience, all my answers were met and the staff was incredible. The whole entire experience of my breast augmentation was great!
I gained 44 pou ds with my second child. I am 5'3 and have always struggled with my weight. I lost 65 lbs when I decided to reach out to dr. Deroberts about a tummy tuck. The entire staff from start to finish are amazing. I had a breast lift done by him in the past as well. I cant say enough about his work and bedside manner. Updated on 17 Aug 2019: Slightly challenged with technology. Here are additional photos. The entire experience wasnt so bad at all. I have a respectable pain tolerance, but there was definitely pain the first 48 hours. It started to get better by day three and I stopped taking pain meds by then. What a huge confidence booster this whole experience has been. I just had my 8 weeks appt and the doc said my scar is healing ideally and that the results are incredible. He stated I was still swollen and that the results would continue to improve. What thrilling news. I dont have any discomfort anymore...my scar is still rather numb though. I was told that would improve with time. Updated on 25 Apr 2020: Couldn't ask for better results. Still a bit numb in the belly button area, but can't complain. I love my body for the first time ever!! Dr. DeRoberts is very Talented. I recommend him to anyone. I am hoping I don't have to wear sunscreen on my scars this summer as I looked like a bullseye all last summer.
I was tired of not being able to rebuild my core, along with excess skin and stretch marks. I thought about for a couple years after my third, and last, child and just decided to go for it May 1, 2019. I am in love with the results! Before I had the surgery, I thought 6-8 weeks recovery seemed dramatic. I've had other major surgeries and never required much down time. This, was different The pain level was always tolerable, only sharp pain when accidentally using stomach muscles or sneezing. I did end up with a small bit of necrosis from an errant stitch which was removed or perhaps that I've smoked for years, quitting 8 weeks before surgery. The necrosis was disconcerting and I wasn't prepared to pack a wound, but it filled in beautifully by 6 weeks, and will have a small scar revision this fall. I work mobile and went in to the office two weeks after, but it was exhausting, 8 hours, even primarily sitting was a lot. Resulted in some swelling and pressure sensation, I did still have a drain. Around 1 month moving around and doing basic things became much easier, stamina still low but able to do whatever I needed to, just more tired. At 8 weeks my body came back on line and I feel great. It's so nice to actually feel your stomach muscles engage and my lower back pain has decreased. 12 weeks out, I'm in love with the way my belly looks, the realistic-ness if my new belly button, how well the surgeon and staff cared for me/reassured me, and the reduction of low back pain.
Hi I am a 31 y.o just had my beast augmentation today. I am 5”4. I have two children. My original size was 32 A/B . Implant used was silicone Sientra HP 440 cc . Procedure went well. I got a tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction. I really wanted a smaller and more shapely waist and he really listened and it came out exactly how I wanted. I had a few consultations before deciding on Dr. DeRoberts and as soon as I met him I felt like he was the only one who really understood my goals and was willing to work towards that while also being honest about limitations and reality. He has great bedside manner and I felt comfortable right away. The staff is also very friendly. A tummy tuck is a major operation with significant recovery time and it is so important to trust and like your surgeon. I definitely recommend Dr. DeRoberts ! The average price of a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) will be determined by three factors: 1. The Surgeon's Fee 2. The Anesthesiologist's Fee 3. The Facility Fee Depending on geography, these fees will vary. My practice, which is located in Syracuse, NY, charges $7900 for an average standard abdominoplasty. This includes all 3 fees listed above, since we have our own AAAASF operating suite in the office and collect the anesthesiologist fee and pay him directly.
