I was very impressed with my results and the care I received! I can't wait to get back to focus on other areas that need fat removed. The entire staff made me feel comfortable and all questions were answered without making me feel dumb. This really helped to put me at ease!
Laura was the aesthetician today at Colorado Skin & Vein for botox injections. She was very personable & professional and did a great job of answering my questions and making me feel comfortable. The injections did not hurt at all, and it was over incredibly quickly! I will definitely be coming back!
I had an Ultherapy full neck treatment done yesterday. Was it painful? Yep. Was it tolerable? Yes. I took only some Naproxen sodium, and it was fine. The procedure hurts the most near the jawline and the collar bones, but it was still tolerable. I had just a tiny bit of redness as I left the office. I was shocked to see an immediate improvement, and no, it isn't my imagination! I'm looking forward to seeing my neck in 120 days. I'll post the pics then. Updated on 8 Feb 2017: I'm so happy I had this procedure! Now I'm going to schedule my lower face.
Those areas look relatively superficial. Likely they will peel off a superficial layer and be raw and red for about a week. Over the next 7-14 days the top layer of skin will redevelop but the redness will likely take a several weeks to resolve. The risk is that while this heals the inflammatory process will lay down new melanin which can cause dark blocks (in the shape of the initial pulse) to develop. In deeper burns these areas can stay white because the cells that make skin pigment have been damaged. Topical 1% hydrocortisone applied twice a day will help limit the swelling and the inflammatory reaction which can cause those areas to darken while healing. Also, silicone tends to work a little better than Aquaphor in would healing (put it on after the hydrocortisone). Keep your diet as clean as possible with a higher than normal protein content. A last piece of advice is to limit sun exposure of the area for at least 8-12 weeks. UV light over healing areas increases the risk of the healing skin getting darker than the surrounding tissue.
