I am aged 44 but had been unhappy for some time regarding my neck and jowls. It made it worse by knowing the turkey neck ran in my family so I knew it was only going to get worse. I chose my surgeon Dr Lam as he did my upper eye lift last year which gave me excellent results so I had confidence in him. He explained that I was a little young and could wait few more years but could see the areas I was concerned with. I had the surgery 4 weeks ago and I feel 100% back to normal. I was never in any pain, it just felt tender and uncomfortable with the tight band for a week a so. Ice packs really helped. I work from home so just had a full week off doing absolutely nothing except eating and sleeping. The next week when I returned to work I just kept my camera off for meetings for another week. I only had slight bruising on the side of my face and neck which was easily covered by my hair and a scarf. I am now 4 weeks post op and feel 100%, I just have a few very pale yellow bruises which are easily covered with make up. I was worried about scarring around my ears but they have already faded and healed very well, and are hidden in my hair so I am sure they will be barely noticeable in another feed weeks. I am happy with the results. I have my jaw line back and look really natural. I don’t look dramatic or scary, just refreshed which I was worried about. My surgeon was very happy last week at my 3 week post op check. I believe my recovery was really helped by taking arnica tablets before and after plus eating lots of protein. My advice is to relax and enjoy the pampering and rest. I will post more pics in 2 months after my 3 month post op consultation with my surgeon. Any questions please let me know. Updated on 6 Nov 2021: I feel 100% back to normal now. Bruising has all gone and scars are healing well . Scars can still feel a little tender and tight sometimes but I am massaging them with E45 cream 3 times a day which has really helped. I think I am still a little puffy under my chin though. I sometimes wish that the result was a little tighter however I did not want to look unnaturally. I have started to feel like I cannot remember what I looked like before so it’s difficult to appreciate the difference, however I am still 100% happy that I did it. I have my 3 month post op with my surgeon at the beginning of December so will update further then x
Dr Lam was very friendly and professional. He put me at ease immediately. He explained the procedure perfectly, pointing out the pros and cons, plus possibly complications. When I asked about another procedure, he said I was too young and refused which increased my faith in him. I am extremely pleased with the result and enjoyed the entire experience. Will definitely use him again in the future. Updated on 17 Oct 2021: Hi all. It’s been a year now and I am still really happy with the results. My friends and family where dubious before I had the op saying I was too young but they all now want the same procedure and CNN live the results.
I found David to be extremely friendly, efficient and professional. My recent procedure was faultless and I’m highly delighted with its outcome. Furthermore I would not hesitate in recommending his services to anybody.
I was struggling to wear contact lens as my heavy eyelids forced them out all the time, this was my main motivation, but I chose to have the lower lid bags done at the same time. My upper and lower eyelids were constantly getting irritated due to excess skin as well. I am delighted with the overall results. Mr Lam was caring, highly professional , experienced and professional. I did extensive research and wanted a surgeon with a good reputation who I could trust.
Mr. Lam made me feel comfortable with him right from the first consultation. I knew he was the right choice straight away he advised me on what I needed and also said that I only needed the uplift without the implant. He showed me what results I could expect and what scars I would be left with. After my first consultation I still needed to be reassured that I was having the right thing done. He said that was no problem and I could go and see him again. Once I felt ready I booked my date. I had my operation at the Claremont Hospital and just like Mr. Lam gave you first class service. I am now at 8 weeks post op and can honestly say the results are fantastic very minimal scarring. Mr. Lam is a great surgeon who also has a lovely manner about him and makes you feel important and kept informed every step of the way. I would strongly recommend anyone looking at having any cosmetic surgery to go and see Mr. Lam. It’s a scarring decision to make but the best one I have ever done. I just wish I had done it sooner. Thank you Mr. Lam.
Mr Lam is an excellent surgeon, caring, thorough with an obvious passion for his work. I recently had breast implant removal and an uplift following capsular contracture and I am delighted with the results. I now have a more athletic shape which is much better for my small frame and age (55). The care received was excellent throughout and I would highly recommend Mr Lam and Claremont Hospital to others.
I'd always had small breasts and worn silicone filled bras. Over time my breasts became even less full due to pregnancy and ageing. At the age of 44 I decided it was now or never and started to research the BA process and plastic surgeons. By word of mouth I discovered Mr Lam at Claremont hospital. He came highly recommended. I had 390 anatomical implants using the dual plane sub muscular procedure. The surgery went well and I was discharged the next day. I did experience a fair amount of pain but then I can't tolerate strong pain killers. I returned to work on reduced hours after 2 weeks. I found wearing a seat belt, closing the car boot and opening heavy doors difficult. As I was fit and healthy I thought I would be back to my old self in a couple of weeks but it was more like 6-8. I think I expected too much of my body! I'm now 8 months post op and I absolutely love my new look. I receive regular compliments on my figure and I'm happier and more confident. I've gone back to running and weight lifting. My scars are really neat and haven't caused me any discomfort. I would highly recommend Mr Lam. I wish I'd had it done years ago.
Hi, I'm from the UK. I've 2 fantastic kids 6.5 yr old boy and 3 yr old girl. Both were well over 10lbs and came out via the sunroof. I've been wanting a TT for a couple of years, my tummy always looks like I'm 5 months pregnant and I'm fairly slim elsewhere so clothes never looked right on me. I've been wearing baggy jumpers and loose fitting tops for as long as I can remember. I've of course got the pouch from the sections which is an added bonus ???? After the final "how far gone are you?" remark from a stranger I decided last month to get things moving. I went to see a plastic surgeon at The Hospital Group, he was happy to perform the TT however suspected I may have an umbilical hernia. I went to see a radiologist for an ultrasound on Wednesday to discover I have 2 hernias umbilical and another straight up where the muscles have separated and to top it off I've a tumour in my liver. Obviously I'm more concerned about the tumour I've been assured it's benign and waiting an MRI scan. So let's stay positive, lets say all is well with that, has anyone had a hernia repaired pre TT or will they do it at the same time do you think? Updated on 8 Sep 2016: So after seeing a liver specialist and having an MRI this afternoon project TT is back on as they didn't find any malignant tumour hurrah hurrah hurrah !!!! Updated on 9 May 2017: 9th May 2017 Written by a patient at Claremont Private Hospital Abdominoplasty Feb 2017 After having 2 huge babies my tummy still looked like I was 6 months pregnant 3 years after having my final child. As Mr Lam said just by looking me you could fit a fist into my stomach. I thought about it at least every waking hour and was getting increasingly upset about strangers asking me how far gone I was. I visited Transform and The Hospital Group and came away feeling as though I was just another number. After reading the reviews for Mr Lam I knew he was the right surgeon for me and booked into an open evening at Claremont. After having a quick chat with him I knew I'd made the right choice in booking in with him. He puts you immediately at ease ( it's not easy getting your huge belly out in front of a stranger when you don't even show your husband or look at it yourself) He said my divarification was very large and I may have a few hernias here and there which he would also tidy up. The consultation was very informative, it didn't feel rushed. He said I didn't need Lipo which was great as the other surgeons built it into the price without telling me, so I knew he wasn't trying to charge me more than what was necessary. I was in Claremont for 2 nights. The surgery went to plan, the nursing and medical staff were also fantastic. They were also singing Mr Lam's praises as the wound was so neat. I had a lovely private room and the food looked amazing- the pain killers put me off my food so I didn't eat much. My drains were removed before going home. The results are nothing short of mind blowing. I can see my feet! I have a waist again and a super flat tummy. I was back running and normal duties by 5/6 weeks. The scar has healed very nicely. I would strongly recommend Mr Lam to anyone considering surgery. It's not an exaggeration to say it's been life changing for me to get my confidence back and it's all thanks to Mr Lam
As with many on this site I had very low self asteem after a 15 year, abusive, childless marriage. My implants were a gift to me for my 40th and I went from a 34aa to a 34dd even though I asked for a b/c cup. Initially I was thrilled with them and yet over the years as I have become more athletic and happier with who I am the implants have started to feel alien to me and are scheduled for removal tomorrow..... This site has been an invaluable font of knowledge and has led to me having very few nerves about what is to come but rather continued reassurance that this is completely the right thing to do - wish me luck as this time tomorrow they will be gone and I really can't wait!!! Updated on 14 Mar 2016: Just back from theatre and ready feel fine and dandy..... No drains and indications I at least have a bit of breast tissue :) Updated on 15 Mar 2016: Well my first 'viewing' was nerve racking and pleasantly surprising - they looked much better than I thought they would although I have to admit stood there in my paper pants I didn't look too closely...... On arriving home I feel a little tender and having shared them with my mum, then came the emotions I've heard others talk about and I suppose reality hit!! More upset at what I did seven years ago I think than what has happened in the past 24 hours - they look kind of sad and that's how I'm feeling right now. I shall I am sure, like my little boobies, bounce back as I know 100% I have done the research get thing. I'll post photos as soon as I feel able xx Updated on 16 Mar 2016: I knew they were tiny before and it looks as though I certainly haven't been blessed with any more breast tissue!!! The sag of them is a bit of a shocker so hoping the fluffing commences sooner rather than later. That said they never looked good out of a bra before so I need to remember that :) it took a lot to share this photo as I am very conscious they might freak some people out lol [RS bleep] Updated on 17 Mar 2016: I'm planning on taking a photo everyday as I am now feeling more confident about the outcome and think reminding myself of progress made, however small, will help reinforce this...... I'm very tired today so need to maybe rest more!! The photo I think shows a weeny bit of improvement so all good :) [RS bleep] Updated on 18 Mar 2016: Having said I'd take a picture every day I suppose I hoped thatbyetbagainbthere would be an improvement this morning however that said they sure do look cute in my sports bra and a marks and spencer post surgery bra also fits really well so I'll be ordering in different colours today!!! In myself I am again feeling a little tired but little discomfort which is super..... Another day of feeling really pleased I have done this [RS bleep] Updated on 31 Mar 2016: Well apart a little reaction to the plasters I have to say I am ecstatic with the outcome - two weeks on and already they are starting to look like breasts!! After removal of the 'plasters' I have had some irritation but to be fair nothing of any consequence.... I've ordered some scar serum but have to admit to being very impressed by both the condition positioning of them. I've started exercising again with the nurse just suggesting that I avoid heavy weights for a little while yet - I've been spinning and managed light kettle bells and even side plank (something I hate doing at th best of times) I start a new job on Monday so no doubt that will show me whether I really am as recovered as I feel. So happy with ththe new me :) xx
From the young age of 12 or 13 I noticed that I had very little breast tissue and as my friends started to develop breasts I didn't. This began to make me very self conscious and lack confidence. As I got older I would never get undressed in front of my friends and the thought of going swimming and going on holidays really worried me as I would have to wear a bikini in front of hundreds of people. I felt like people would be talking about me and I felt very uncomfortable wearing anything low cut. When I got my first boyfriend I would never get undressed in front of him either, although I knew he would accept me whatever my breast size I could never bring myself to take my bra off and let him see all of me. I knew from been a young teenager that I wanted to have a breast augmentation, and started looking at the age of 17 for surgeons and hospitals. The Claremont Hospital in Sheffield was recommended to my family and after looking on the Hospital's website I found Mr David Lam, his results were amazing and after studying his website I decided to book in for a consultation with him, the consultation was £150 and worth every penny, Mr Lamb answered any questions I had and showed me even more amazing before and after photos with breasts like mine. I trusted Mr Lam instantly and was sure that I was in good hands so booked in for the surgery. 6 weeks later I had my surgery. Mr Lam came to speak to me in the morning before I went down to theatre to ask what size I had decided to go to. I chose the 320cc implants which took me from a 32AA to a 32E. I couldn't be any more happy with the results and I couldn't recommend Mr Lam enough. Aftercare was brilliant in the hospital and pain was kept to a minimum by taking regular pain killers. I was back on my feet within a couple of days and completely off pain killers after a week. I was driving again after two weeks and felt fully fit to go back to work. Having the breast augmentation has completely changed my life and made me into a much more confident and happy person. If your going to have this surgery make sure that it's 100% for you and your self confidence and not for anyone else. Updated on 10 Nov 2015: I forgot to mention that I wanted a natural look so went for an anatomical implant which was placed under the muscle.
