Thank you for the question. Breast lift alone will lift the breasts and result in the same size or smaller breasts. Breast augmentation will make the breasts larger but will not lift the breasts. A breast augmentation and breast lift can lift the breasts and increase the size. Therefore it is important to determine if the patient desires a size increase or decrease when selecting the procedure. In addition, the position of the nipple and breast relative to the fold under the breast will help determine if a lift is indicated. Thank you for the question. A breast lift is generally indicated to correct nipple and or glandular ptosis. Nipple ptosis is present when the nipple falls below the fold under the breast. Glandular ptosis is present when significant breast tissue has fallen below the fold. An in person consultation with a plastic surgeon will help determine if you will benefit from a breast lift at the time of breast augmentation.

In my practice, after a lower facelift most patients feel comfortable in public after 1-2 weeks. It may take longer to feel comfortable at a major social event. I usually remove sutures at one week postop. Exercise and activities that may put stress on the face and neck should be avoided until at least 6 weeks postop. The submuscular placement of breast implants may lead to a lower incidence of capsular contracture(scar tissue forming around the implant) compared to subglandular placement. The submuscular placement is usually performed as a dual plane placement with the upper part of the implant covered by the pectoralis muscle and the lower part covered by the breast tissue. The dual plane technique allows for a natural appearance and position of the implant with the benefits of partial muscle coverage. Make sure you discuss your concerns with your surgeons. It has been four months since Dr. Bray Jr. completed my lower face and neck lift with platysmaplasty, brow, lift, and upper & lower eyelid blepharoplasty. I am beyond happy with my results. Dr. David Bray Jr. is an amazing plastic surgeon. When I was younger I played soccer and broke my nose. I never got it fixed because I didn’t have the money and my insurance at the time didn’t cover it. Fast forward to now being a mom and always wanting my nose done I finally did it. I also had a deviated septum which was fixed during the surgery as well. I am writing this review two weeks after my septoplasty and rhinoplasty and I’m not bruised at all and I am able to do everything I usually do. Again, he is an amazing surgeon and his staff is pleasant and were very helpful with my leave of absence paperwork.
