I've been a patient of Dr Vasily's for 5 years. I originally consulted him for the treatment of my melasma. He is brilliant with a laser! I'm so happy with my complexion now. I also trust him with my injectables and he delivers beautiful results, time and time again. Dr Vasily is kind and caring. When friends ask how I keep my skin looking so good - I'm always happy to share my little secret:)
Dr. Vasily is not only an incredibly knowledgeable physician, he is an artist! He was so caring and took the time to carefully evaluate my skin and my face, before he made any recommendations. I am very pleased with the results!! I would recommend Dr. Vasily to anyone who is looking for a talented and caring physician who delivers beautiful, natural results!!
Yesterday I had my first treatment of Miradry. I had researched the treatment for months and finally decided to go ahead with it. I have had excessive underarm sweat for as long as i can remember- I tried every deodorant and even a tablet Rx but nothing really worked for me. I was so fed up with sitting at my desk in work and starting to feel wet patches under my arms...all year around. My wardrobe choices were limited and I lived in black. I decided to do something for myself! A Dr's office 45 mins away was an approved provider and running a $2500 offer. The PA that did the treatment has done over 120 treatments so i was in good hands. She wanted to start with a level 2, but i opted for level 3. She told me that they only use level 5 in Japan and its rarely used in the USA. I had a consultation at 11am and then came back around 1.30 pm for the treatment. It lasted about 1hr or so. I got about 20 lidocane injections in each arm, which were not bad. Stinging in some places but very bearable. The device did not hurt at all. I was then given a Rx for predisone steriod to help with the inflammation and told to ICE ICE ICE.... I also spend 30 seconds under some sort of light device, also to help with healing. I took some Ibuprofen on the way home and used frozen mini water bottles on the way home ( my hubby drove me, but i would have been fine to drive) I rested with ice the rest of the night. I slept okay, icing and taking the Ibuprofen. I work up with what i would say is minimal swelling under my arms ( its difficult to put by arms straight) My PA also gave me exercises to stretch my arms as some people get tight tendons. All in all i am doing well... I took a shower, and so far i am dry, or at least that i can tell. I will report back in a few days and update you on my progress.
I started sweating back in high school. One of those things where just one day, it was excessive. I had to wear a few shirts to school. That way if I sweat through one, there's always another one right behind it. Or I'd have to pack an extra shirt in case I sweat through the first shirt. I went to Lehigh Valley Dermatology in Bethlehem because they were the first in the state to have miraDry and I wanted to try it. After my first treatment, I stopped sweating. The second treatment just reinforced things. Now, one year later, the sweat is still gone. I'm really happy I did this.
I had a juvederm treatment yesterday afternoon. Just my nasal lines and the marionette lines on my mouth that were causing a downward crease/frown. I am now terribly black and blue 24 hours later. I had the foresight to take off of work for the rest of the week, but I never anticipated I would look so awful. These will be 7 to 10 day bruises, for sure. What can you do, short of admitting you had the treatment done? One of the reasons you do it is to come out with a look as if it was all natural, and admitting you've done it defeats all that. From now on, anytime I look good - it'll just be assumed I 'paid' dearly to look this way. Yeesh! Updated on 28 Jan 2011: Okay, it is now almost a year later. I probably should've written an addendum a week after my initial comments, but better late than never... I was so upset the day after my first juvederm injection that I called my doctor and asked to be seen immediately, which he very graciously did. When I arrived at the office he checked me out and had one of his assistants do a very quick treatment on each of my bruises - I don't know the exact name of the instruments used but I think she used whatever wand they normally use for a photofacial - followed by a 'wave' treatment. I couldn't believe the difference, within hours the bruising was visibly improving, and by the very next day the bruises were almost gone. I was amazed. So the moral of this story is: Anticipate for the worst side effects and prepare for it by asking questions like 'what do you do if this happens....' beforehand! As far as for my overall impression of what juvederm did for my appearance? I wished that I had enough $$$ to do more than just one vial, I really could've used another half vial. But one was all that I could afford and I definitely liked the difference it made. The juvederm not only lifted the downward corners of my mouth, but actually helps keep them from cracking and being sore. I think I could've really benefited from just a tad more but them's the breaks when you live on a strict budget.
Do not get Botox with Dr. Vasily.... He left my face uneven with droopy eyelids and was very unprofessional about the situation. He would not offer me a refund for his mistake and only offered me more Botox done by him.... NO WAY! I would never let him touch my face again after walking around embarrassed because of him.... It makes me think twice about ever getting Botox again.
