I've recently been on a binge of doing things for myself. I was widowed over a year ago and I guess this was my way of dealing and trying to move on. I had lost over 90 pounds and my 44 G breasts just collapsed to my navel. So I decided to have a consultation with Dr. Richardson. He was awesome. He made this 67-year-old feel very comfortable. He explained what he would do as well as all of the possible problems that could arise. Four weeks later I had my surgery. I was surprised that I did not feel a lot of pain. It was more like soreness. I took three pain pills total over the first seven days. Then I took Tylenol. I did end up having a hematoma in the left breast which freaked me out. However, Dr. Richardson said he would take care of it and try to avoid another surgery. It took three visits to him to have some fluid pulled of via hypodermic needle but it finally got to a more normal place and began healing like the right breast. I am so thankful for his calm demeanor. I am now eight weeks out and my breasts are looking and beginning to feel amazing. I went to get a couple of bras and I needed a 36C...boy was that exciting. I also want to mention the nurses and support staff. They are friendly and helpful and also make you feel that they are concerned for you. If you are in the Gulfport/Biloxi area and considering this surgery be sure to get a consultation with Dr. Richardson. You won't be sorry. Would I do this again??? You bet!!!! It's so nice to have normal breasts and to have clothes fit.
Dr. Daniel Richardson and his staff is awesome. I live in Memphis, TN and chose to go to Biloxi, MS to have my tummy tuck done. Dr. Richardson has a great personality and was honest and up front about my procedure and results. He scheduled follow up appointments with me every week for a month after surgery to make sure that I was healing well. I'm very happy with my results and I'm even more happier with how comfortable he and his staff made me feel. I would definitely recommend Dr. Daniel Richardson for a tummy tuck and I hope to go back to him for a thigh left and make a little lipo to my back.
Dr Richardson and his staff was great, he listened to what i wanted my outcome to be and he delivered. I will definitely be going back for all my plastic surgery needs. Also the pricing was very reasonable and his availability
I would not trust another doctor to do anything I have had done unless Dr. Richardson himself told me to. Very honest and realistic with me as a patient, I could not ask for better treatment. I have been seeing Dr. Richardson since 2003, over that time frame he has done my Breast Augmentations, Abdominal lipo, botox and facial/lip filler. Results have always been perfect!
Dr Daniel Richardson and all his staff are wonderful .. They are very personable and make you feel very comfortable .He does not try to push things on to you .. I go in and want this or that done , and he always says I don’t need that .. there have been several doctors i have been to and I cannot say the same thing .. he is an artist when it comes to fillers and Botox . I have a few procedures this upcoming year I want to get done . He is the only one I trust ..
It saddens me that I am reading these reviews. I used to way over 400 pound and lost 200 went to Dr. Richardson for a TT and BL. The day of my surgery my blood count was low so we opted to do a TT. After my surgery everyone was great! Laci called to check on me. A few months later I had thigh lift and had some complications. They called to check on me everyday (I live in New orleans) Dr Richardson is sarcastic but dfoes not mean harm. He jokes around and his staff is wonderful! I would and do recommend him. I am so happy with ther work he has done!
After 4 kids who tore my stomach up, I decided on a tummy tuck, so far it's been worth it, although I'm slightly concerned with one area of swelling. Dr Richardson could be a little more attentive in appointment, but even so he does his job quickly and effectively. He's quick to get you in office for concerns or appointments.
I'm a 26 year old mommy of two. My son was 9 lbs and my daughter was 8 lbs. coming from a real petite frame, my stomach suffered tremendously. Before both pregnancies, I was 120 lbs. currently I weight 157 lbs and 5'6"but my goal is 150 lbs. I'm excited about my upcoming procedure and happy to share my journey. Updated on 21 Nov 2012: Need a little help on how to upload before procedure pics . Can someone please assist? Updated on 30 Nov 2012: Well, I have sad news. I had to reschedule my procedure due to a family emergency. I don't know when I will have the procedure now with everything that is going on in my life. :( Updated on 17 Dec 2013: After a year of waiting. My tummy tuck is scheduled for Dec. 27th. I have a final consultation on Dec. 19th. Really excited!!! Updated on 18 Dec 2013: It amazes me how I see so many women stating that their husband is so supportive. In my end, its the total opposite. Although he is paying for tge entire procedure. He doesn't understand why I want it done. He lacks tge empathy that is so needes during such a serious procedure. I have been out of work for almost 4 years and just completed my undergrad in Accounting. In his opinion, he feels we should go on a trip to rekindle what was lost while I pursued my degree. It is so hard not having him on board. But I'm still going through the procedure with ir without his support.... Can anyone relate? Updated on 18 Dec 2013: Please excuse all the typos... Updating from my cell phone :) Updated on 23 Dec 2013: Mega excited but extremely nervous. Can you gals provide a list of "must haves" post-op. Currently I have -prescribe pain and muscle relaxers - night gowns - fresh fruits - jello -water - crackers -pj's -recliner -ice pack Anything else??? Updated on 23 Dec 2013: Gauzes Updated on 26 Dec 2013: I woke up super nervous this morning! My stomach has butterflies. I know today I will definitely have to keep busy. Just so the time could pass by fast. I have started a cleaning spree of my house. I cleaned closets, rooms, under beds, garage, etc. But with Christmas and two precious children. It has not stayed has need as I would like. Maybe, I'll start with cleaning amd running last minute errands. Also waiting in the surgery center to call.to inform me of what time my procedure will be done. Ttyl.... Updated on 26 Dec 2013: Neat not need and not amd On not in Updated on 27 Dec 2013: My appoitment was for 6:15 am. The commute was one hour away. I was so excited, I woke up for 2:30 am and began to clean up. I woke my husband up at 4am and began to hit the road! The ride was amazingly quicker than usual. One I arrived at the surgery center, I was immediately askd to come to the back and sign final consent forms and paper work. Returned back to the waiting area for 5 minutes and was ask to return to the back to get prepared. My pressure was talent along with the IV to began a dosage of antibiotics. Once the questions were completed, I removed all my clothing to put a hospital gown and compression stockings on. Shortly after my husband met me in the room until the doctor came in to make his marks. The nurse followed him immediately to dispense a dose of "happy.medication" so that i was able to keep calm. The doctor not only suggested lipo the the flanks but also to the side of my hips! Whoop! Whoop! That was the last thing i remember. Next I was in recovery and asking the nurse for pain meds because I felt pain along tge incision. Next, the catheter was removed and the nurse and my husband assisted me into the restroom to urine. Well of course I couldn't do anything and the nursesaid that was ok. My husband helped me back in the bed. Dr. Richardson came in calling me "skinny minnie" and informed us of how well everything went. Along with giving us a couple of last minute instructions. The nurse came in, and help me change out of the night gown into my sweats and mou-mou. The wheel chair was brought in and I was on my way! The nurse keep informing ne of how.well I was doing which was pretty cool. I was expecting to be in so much excruciating pain but boy was I wrong. My repair just was a little sore but no other complaints. Once we made it in town, we had to make a couple pit stops. My husband purchased a smoothie since I didn't have much of an appetite but I knew I had to eat something because it was time for my next dose of pain meds. I was also instructed to take the pain meds and scheduled and muscle relaxers 2 hours after the pain meds. My husband made me really comfy and I took a 3 hour nap before a couple of family members and friends came over. I was also specifically instructed when gettingand down to NOT use my stomach muscles. I never knew this was such a hard task to accomplish. For whatever reasoning, I haven't been really sleepy. Just relaxing . Also my drain are not releasing alot at all. Is this normal or good or bad thing? Well ttyl, pain meds are beginning to kick in. Here are a couple pics of myself with the binder. Updated on 28 Dec 2013: I was instructed to not walk straight for at least 24 hours. For whatever reasoning I thought I would be in alot of pain. But i haven't at all. Updated on 28 Dec 2013: Updated on 28 Dec 2013: No BM, just gas. My diet has been strictly smoothies and fruit with water. Updated on 30 Dec 2013: Updated on 30 Dec 2013: My experience has been amazing! Ican't complain at all. My husband has been great! He waits on me hand and foot. I really over estimated the pain and the entire experience. I have been able to walk straight up since post op day 2. Still no bm, major gas but its ok. I don't usually have many anyway. My drains are not filling at all or even half way. Talk to my dr and he said its nothing to be concerned with. I'm able to get to and from the restroom on my on. Still eating alot of fruits and low sodium meals. Drinking only water. Never thought this process would be so smooth. Anywho, i have my first post op Thursday. We shall see what the the dr thinks of my progress. Ttyl gals..... Updated on 31 Dec 2013: Although it has been only four days. It has been smooth sailing. I could see the difference even considering that it has been such a short period of time. I'm swollen but that is to be expected. I figuredif I'm happy with the results now than it can only go uphill from here. I have not experienced the post surgery bluea because I went into it with realistic results. I knew before I had any kids, I didn't have a coke bottlw figure so I wasn't anticipating one post surgery. My main concern was my mid section. I have learn to accept my body as is which include flaws and all. It may not be perfect for everyone but its perfect for me. Updated on 2 Jan 2014: Yesterday was my first BM after taking a list of different supplements. Stool softners, laxatives, gas x, mirimax, and suppositories, and finally citrate magnesium. The citrate worked in 10 minutes and had me on the toilet alllllll day long. But, no complaints. I was extremely relieved! Lol! Well today, I had my first follow up and the drain was removed. It was a quick sting but nothing too bad at all. My dressing was removed that was placed on me the day if surgery. I was finally able to get a peak of my new tummy. Boy was I excited! Even with the swelling, I know the results can only improve. Here are a couple of pics. Updated on 4 Jan 2014: Day 8 post op! No complaints, no really interesting updates. I think I want to get some fresh air. My mom has my kids for weekend. I was thinking of catching a movie with my hubby today. Is it too soon? Updated on 10 Jan 2014: Updated on 17 Jan 2014: Today made 3 weeks. I'm still swollen above my incision, but slowly going down. I'm down 6 lbs and 2 inches from waist. Still relaxing and not doing too much. Drinking water only. Here is a updated photo of my results Updated on 23 Jan 2014: I had a post op appointment on Monday. I was informed by ps that I can began to wear a spank duringthe day and cg at night. I had to inform him of a pain that I was having only when walking at my drain sight. He told me to decreasemy activities. I gues me sweeping and mopping my entire house over the weekend was not a good idea. He also stressed for me to listen to my body. I have uploaded a few pics. I can actually see my swelling slowly going down and progress. I have a couple of concerns that I will address at my next post op appointment. Such as the puckered skin along the incision line, will it smooth out? Also when sitting the area below my navel seems to look a bit like my pre op stomach with the lacks and extra skin. I don't know if I'm being paranoid but I shall see..... Updated on 23 Jan 2014: Updated on 17 Feb 2014: I was bored at home and decided to take a few pics.... Back to normal... Yippee!!!!! Updated on 11 Jun 2014: Let me begin by saying, I'm still in love with my tummy tuck and the confidence I've gained. However, I have gained alllllllllllll the weight I've lost back. Lol! My weight now is carried in my butt and thighs and loving every pound of it. Updated on 25 Feb 2015: Scheduled for a consultation with Dr. Richardson Monday for liposuction to my flanks ( side area) and back. I don't know if I'm delusional or what but it seems that I now notice every hump and bump on my body. I have gained more weight than I was pre tummy tuck. I guess it's because my biggest concern is no longer an issue. Hmmmmm, just needed to vent. Toodles for now....
My friends had me sooo scared of the pain I would feel. They had me thinking I'd come out and be on my deathbed. I had 234cc Sub muscular, areola incision On July 30th, It's the 31st and I feel Fabulous!! Sure I cant lift myself out of bed or pick up objects. I just can't get over how scared I had myself two weeks up till the date of surgery! That was truly the worse part, the fear put in my head by friends before I went in. Updated on 3 Aug 2011:Aug 2rd 2011- Just over a year after, no problems, still look great. They feel like part of me.Updated on 9 Aug 2011:3rd* not 2rd lol Typo!Updated on 31 Jul 2012:2 years later and going strong! Absolutely no problems.
Before surgery he was very nice and answered all my questions, but after surgery he seemed to be an ass....I had a breast lift and tummy tuck done. Wasn't completely happy with how the tummy tuck came out( stomach wasn't flat) so I decided to go back and get lipo on my stomach...stomach still isn't flat. If I could go BK I would go to another doctor.. Breast lift, areolar on right nipple just look bad. Wish I went to another doctor. You get what u you paid for. Keep that in mind when you're trying to save money.
