I was introduced to Dr Golomb through my wife and was looking to treat my brown spots with the excel v laser. Dr. Golomb's staff answered all my questions before the visit. On the day of my visit, I was evaluated and treated by Dr Golomb. She explained treatment options, risks and the benefits. My treatment was done w/a topical numbing cream and the results are better than I expected! At Dermatology Boutique, I'm happy to have seen a board certified dermatologist and received excellent personal care. My excel v laser treatment was comfortable and friends say I look younger.
Definitely highly recommended Dr. Cynthia Golomb and have been seeing her for 20+ years now! I love my treatments with her because she is very ethical, up to date, kind, knowledgeable and an absolute artist. She explains exactly what why and what she believes is best for me, as everyone's skin is different. Her package pricing is very fair and upfront. She is also very clear about cost and expectations, as well as possible side effects. Additionally, she gives me educational materials, what to expect and also post care instructions. She is proactive and has in interest in treatments to reverse aging. I love Dr. Golomb!!!! She truly is the BEST Dermatologist in the USA, not South Florida!!! I moved out of Miami about 18 years ago, but I still continue to fly to South Florida at least a couple of times a year to see this exceptional dermatologist, Dr. Cynthia Golomb!!!
I usually use regular juviderm in my lips but Dr Golomb suggested I try vollure this time. She said it lasts longer and is a softer product. She was right! My lips are soft and voluptuous! Dr G is a magician. She does amazing work!
I was on ready to get a mini facelift until I heard about the silhouette lift. I am so happy I did it. I had it done this afternoon by Dr Cynthia Golomb. She is an amazing dermatologist and I trust her with all of my cosmetic procedures. The procedure was done in less than 1 hour. I have minimal bruising. I saw immediate results in my lover face and corners of my mouth, which were starting to sag. I am 46 years old and want to wait until I am 50 to have a facelift. This is the perfect procedure for women who are not yet ready for facelift but need a pick up! I highly recommend it!! I will post pictures once my bruises go away Updated on 4 Mar 2019: Just a quick update, I have a little pain that hasn’t gone away. The pain is where the threads are anchored. It’s a very funny sensation in the corners of my mouth. I can feel the pulling. Very weird. I hope it goes away soon. So far I like the results. Updated on 6 Mar 2019: I am still getting sharp pain in corners of my mouth when I laugh or chew. I have a lump where the initial needle went in. Hoping it all gets better with time. I still love the results just more uncomfortable than I thought Updated on 21 Mar 2019: I am finally comfortable, no more bump or pain. I love the way my skin texture looks. Everyone keeps asking me what I did and why I look so good. I highly recommend this procedure to anyone looking for a little pick me up but not yet ready for surgery
I waited 2 months before posting to observe real results. My chin absolutely improved after receiving 2 ccs in January. In fact, I got 2 more ccs yesterday. The injections are quick. My Dr numbed the area and finished the shots in 5 minutes. Watching the videos online scared me, but the actual procedure was easy. The swelling is uncomfortable, but I didn't bruise. Use ice & arnica. For the first treatment, I had swelling for two weeks. People didn't notice it (even though I felt self conscious). I live in FL. I can't wear scarves in 80 degree weather, so I couldn't cover it. I didn't see results for over a month. Be patient! My chin was tender for at least 4 weeks, but it was very minor. If you're not willing to have chin lipo, consider Kybella.
Natural results and improvements without surgery. I have a very petite face and less is more with me. I'm thin, and don't like my face to get too thin, but I also don't want a round, no contours look. And I don't want a high-maintenance routine where I'm visiting a dermatologist every 4 months. Many products can make you look worse, or very "done", and it takes a doctor who is a combo of artist, skilled doctor and honest person. Not easy to find. Dr.Cynthia Golomb is the very best in all categories. For me, botox is a waste, and some fillers work and some don't. Restylane and Voluma have been best, but not Radiesse. Pick a doctor you can rely on to tell you which is for you, don't try to become an expert yourself.
I gave a 1 because I cannot give a zero! Cynthia Golomb is deceptive. Do I have absolute proof - no but let me tell you what happened. I went to her 6 mos ago for Sculptra. I had it with her in March 2022 and I was pleased. The first visit cost me $1800. I went back for more.. This time she gave me a bargain. $1100. to build up my chin. I looked great, I was happy so I scheduled an appointment for 9:15 on Jan 16, 2023 - early because I had to go to work. I called early enough for an early appointment because she does tend to make you wait long. On the day before my appointment I received a call from the office to change me to Friday. 9:15 I was assured, the appointment time would not change. When I arrived early, the lady at the front desk reminded me that my appointment was 9:45. I was livid but the lady said let me see what happened. She played around and another heavy set girl came out to see who I was. It was then I decided to leave. Well, I went back to my old doctor who reminded me I was not a candidate for Sculptra due to previous gel shots I had in my cheeks. But Dr. Golomb put it in my cheeks. And I even got a deal. She built up my chin for $1100. My ethical doctor said that the cheek due to previous gel shots and the chin are not recommended areas for Sculptra. What did she put in my chin?? She said I definitely did not get sculptra for $1100. I felt betrayed by the woman at the front desk. Now I know why she did what she did to me. She is taught how to deceive. No way will I ever go back there.
Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are neuromodulators which soften wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing muscle groups. These injectables are also excellent for correcting uneven eyebrows by relaxing the muscles that control their movement. Select your physician carefully and choose one with experience in cosmetic injectables, such as a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Here in the U.S. we have board certification that indicates a doctor has gone above and beyond the many years of medical education by passing the exams given by his or her specialty’s governing body. The board examination demonstrates a physician’s knowledge of advances in medicine in his or her specialty.
In general hyaluronic acid fillers are very safe and rarely cause long term problems. However, there are reports of delayed nodules that have developed weeks, or even months later. Typically the nodules, or areas of swelling, can be treated by injecting a dissolving enzyme or an anti-inflammatory product. Less often, oral antibiotics may be necessary. This is why your injector must take a good medical history and employ a sanitary technique for your protection. Your skin must be prepped with an antibacterial. In my office, I use a product containing alcohol and a very effective antimicrobial. I also make sure the patient does not go for dental work 2 weeks before or after injections. This includes teeth cleaning. Most experts believe that the nodules are an inflammatory reaction. Bacterial cultures of these nodules in the treatment area are most commonly negative. Regarding death of skin cells (skin necrosis), yes that is a possibility if a blood vessel is inadvertently blocked off with the injectable product. Pain and blanching of skin are clues of necrosis, even if delayed. These reactions must be immediately treated and can resolve without any long-term consequence when treated properly. Always be 100 percent sure of what you are getting. Here in the U.S., the product must be FDA approved and purchased in the United States. If the price is too good to be true, that should raise a big red flag! Long-term complications are more frequent with permanent fillers like silicone. This is why I do not understand how anyone will go for injections at salons, hotel rooms or their local fitness centers. Yet I hear it all the time, even from the most savvy, educated people. I cannot stress enough that your injector should be a board certified dermatologist or a board certified plastic surgeon. Outside of the U.S., look for similar accreditation in your country.
Botox is used in Parkinson's patients for drooling. However it is contraindicated in patients with myasthenia gravis.
There are new fillers that provide subtle, natural volume and are more spreadable. This way the doctor can smooth out the product to exactly where you need it. Juvéderm Vollure XC is an example for nasal labial folds (those deepening parentheses lines around your mouth). Vollure lasts up to 18 months and the great news is that re-treatment requires 1/3 less product! Restylane now offers two next generation fillers that also provide a more natural look: Defyne and Refyne move with the expressions of your face, so you don’t look puffy or stiff. They have been in use in Europe since 2010. Restylane Refyne has more flexibility and less support to help with moderate wrinkles, such as those around your mouth. When you're contemplating cosmetic treatments on your face, the qualifications and competency of the injector, as well as the safety of the product, are very serious considerations. Your injector should be a board certified physician with the American Academy of Dermatology or with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. A board certified doctor is trained on the anatomy of the face to avoid complications and undesirable (or even disfiguring) side effects. To answer your questions about a “tube” of product—each syringe holds 1 ml. To give you a visual, there are 5 ml’s in a teaspoon. I often use the analogy 5 cc or 5 ml or 5 syringes will fill a teaspoon.
Unfortunately, at this time, there is not a home device that would address your concerns. However there are non-surgical, in-office treatments that would lift and plump your skin. One option is INFINI, which uses high intensity focused RF (radio frequency) through gold-plated microneedles to stimulate collagen. This technology addresses a number of skin concerns and provides long-lasting results. A few INFINI treatments will provide overall skin rejuvenation and will reduce sagging, crepey and wrinkled skin. Another in-office option would be injectable fillers. As you age, the natural supporting structures such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin are diminished – resulting lines, wrinkles and jowls. Fillers restore volume support and suppleness. Be sure to select a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert injector.
