I had my breast reduction surgery on 11/20/2018 and it was the best decision I ever made. Dr.Stabel is very polite and easy to talk to. He tries to give you exactly what you ask for. Recovery was not bad at all. Pain was about a 4/10 for 3-4 days and the pain meds helped. I am now about 8 days post op and only taking ibuprofen as needed. I would definitely recommend him for breast reduction surgery. Prior to surgery I was a 36 DDD and now I think I am a C cup. I still have swelling and am not able to tell my exact size yet.
Dr. Staebel did a great job on my silicone breast implants explant. He did a bilateral En Block Total Capsulectomy like I wanted and without any problems! He was caring and professional and listened to me about my breast implant illness I had for the past 6 months. His office staff was also great.
Dr. Staebel was patient, knowledgeable and helpful with every aspect of the process from the consultation, pre op and post op care. During the consultation, he explained everything in detail, listened carefully to my wishes and put me at ease with the whole process. I was super nervous but the entire team assured me that I was in great hands. His office staff was also great and helpful to me at my post op appointment I am very thankful for the care they gave me. I am very very pleased with my results and happy that I took his recommendations for size and placement.
Dr Staebel & his entire staff: Carolyn, Amy,Vicki,Amanda & Heather are a team whom takes pride in caring for their patients. I highly recommend Dr Staebel's office for your cosmetic procedures/surgery. Professionalism,Knowledgeable Down to Earth Doctor are his obvious traits when you meet him. I'll definitely be returning for his services.
Dr. Staebel is amazing. It is such a relief that he understands how a woman wants to look and be perceived versus looking like what a guy fantasizes about. The recovery was so simple and painless, much better than so many stories I've heard. I am excited to see him again!
I was so terrified to have this procedure. After many consults and a year and a half of research, I found my perfect fit. The procedure was not as bad as I had anticipated. You definitely need two weeks to get back to feeling like yourself but overall you are just sore and tight muscles but not painful. I highly recommend this procedure. It takes care of the places excercise could not. Just take your time and find a surgeon that listens to you.
I thought that losing weight was going to make me feel great. That's what they all said. Yet after the weight is gone you have all this skin. Plastic surgeons are just for the pretty people, not for people like me. After talking to my family doctor, I found Dr Staebel, my life and self esteem will never be the same.
I wanted smoother skin, free of little lines and imperfections from old acne scars. Love how my skin looks. I don't need much makeup at all, I'm just used to wearing it. The texture is so smooth and fine lines are gone. The only pain I had was during the injections to deaden. No pain at all after the procedure was done. I swelled up for about 2-3 days and was nearly back to normal in 7-10 days. I just had a slight sunburned look for those days. Fantastic! Would do it again and again to keep fresh looking. Dr Staebel did an amazing job. Talked me through all the steps and did a great job following up with me after the procedure to watch the progress.
I have three children, including a set of twins. Apparently, skin and muscles don't bounce back from expanding to almost 50 inches in diameter! No amount of exercise and diet could have made the situation any better. So, when I was ready to have the tummy tuck done, I chose Dr. Staebel from Georgetown Plastic Surgery. This was the 3rd procedure he did for me (tattoo removal and a deep facial peel before). Based on my previous experiences I knew he was the right doctor for me. My treatment was very comprehensive and began with a consultation that outlined the entire procedure. I was able to make a very informed decision with all the facts about preparation for the surgery, the actual process, and the recovery. Dr. Staebel is incredibly kind, intelligent, and compassionate. He's also pretty funny! Which is really important because the recovery from this type of surgery is major. You can't expect dramatic results without some dramatic intervention. (Plan on being in full recovery mode for a minimum of three weeks.) While the physical recovery is intense, so is the emotional recovery. Again, Dr. Staebel and the ladies at his office always made time for my questions and took great care to ensure healthy healing and positive results. I was in great hands and I am very, very happy with the results. My clothes fit so much better and I feel so much better about my body. After giving three people life, I think I'm worth that.
I have always wanted a breast reconstruction done for so long. I was not only really small but had an inverted issue which prevented me from breast feeding any of my babies. It broke my heart. Not to mention I almost never felt sexy enough to remove my shirt or bra around my husband. I decided to have a consultation with Dr. Staebel and could not have been happier!! The office staff is amazing and professional and very kind. They do not make you feel like just a patient but someone they get to know. Dr. Staebel did an amazing job on my reconstruction and was amazing through the whole process. He called 2 days later to see how I was after surgery and has just been very friendly and professional from start to finish. Even the hospital recovery staff was amazing! I would recommend this office, doctor and hospital to everyone and anyone!! Worth it 100%.
The concept of performing liposuction elsewhere to make your breasts 'appear' larger is actually a valid one. The laws of proportion are very important in liposculpting and when making waists and flanks smaller many of my patients look fuller in their breasts. Your concern of needing surgery every 10 years if you had breast implants is possible very unlikely. It's a common misconception that implants are supposed to be changed out every 10 years - this is false. Depending on your shape and size desires, it is entirely possible to have breast implants and not 'be able to tell'. You might want to look in the newer, anatomically shaped implants like the Natrelle 410 implants for a more natural result.
Doing a breast lift, or mastopexy, is commonly done without implants. If you are happy with your natural volume but just want them re-shaped or lifted this is a good option for you. In my experience, the breasts will look larger and fuller after a lift due to the higher positioning on the chest and reshaping done during the surgery.
Planning your recovery from any surgery is an important part of planning. Recovery from breast augmentation is in relative stages. Expect to take it easy with little to no exertion for the first week. After the first week I usually release my patients to return to the gym in a gradual fashion. Return to work depends heavily on the type of work with most patients returning to desk-type work within 2-3 days. The amount of discomfort and length of recovery is increased in patients with tighter skin and those electing to go with larger implants.
Normal development of the female breast varies but usually finishes between ages 18-21. The breast will go through variations in size and shape as a woman ages, experiences hormonal fluctuations (i.e. pregnancy, BCP pills, menopause) and changes in her weight.
Congratulations on your recent weight loss! Combining these two procedures is commonly done, even in patients with other well controlled medical conditions. Cardiovascular health and exercise tolerance is a better indicator of the safety for an anesthetic. Staying overnight would be a safer option for you too. Body contouring is greatly about proportion; which is why combining a tummy tuck and breast reduction usually makes sense. If your thighs appear disproportionate, liposuction or a thigh lift may be a good option. Good luck!
