Wanted/needed a breast reduction for over 8 years

I’ve wanted/needed a breast reduction for over 8 years. Dr Courtney has always been my first choice and when I finally decided to do it, he exceeded my expectations. Starting with the consultation, my pre-op appointments, surgery day, post-op appointments, down to my final follow up.. I felt comfortable and understood each step of the way. Dr C really listened to my needs and expectations of this procedure, and I would not trust anyone else!

I am 3 weeks post-op and everything is looking and feeling great.

Dr Courtney performed my breast reduction surgery. The whole experience from beginning to end was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and Dr Courtney is wonderful; I was very scared of of the surgery and the post-op issues, he was very reassuring. The surgery went great, the staff at the surgery center was amazing. The discomfort was minimal. I am 3 weeks post-op and everything is looking and feeling great.

Dr. Courtney’s surgical skills are top notch

I had my *first ever* plastic surgery consultation on 7/17/20 with Ms. Evelyn, the patient care coordinator, and Dr. Courtney. I came prepared with a list of questions for them and they addressed them all, plus added in much more valuable information. My consultation was for breast augmentation & neck liposuction. Ms. Evelyn and Dr. Courtney made it a wonderful experience, I felt comfortable, understood and valued. I cancelled all further consultations with other surgeons and booked my surgery with Dr. Courtney! I originally booked for December, but my excitement got the best of me, so we moved it up some to 10/5! My pre op/consent appointment was great! He talked me through all the procedures and just made me feel so comfortable and confident with our plan! Surgery day came and the entire surgical team at ACPS is first class! I was able to meet the beautiful Amy Bethe and she even captured some of my surgery on video for me! The amazing nurses took excellent care of me, and the anesthesiologist was wonderful at her job! She made me feel very at ease and I was out before I knew it! I woke up in zero pain and had zero nausea! Dr. Courtney’s surgical skills are top notch, I had very minimal discomfort, never any pain, and my incisions healed wonderfully! My results are even better than I could have imagined! The breast augmentation helped address all the issues I had after nursing, and the submental liposuction got rid of the stubborn little fat behind my chin!! This is something I have been considering for 15 years, and I’m so happy I waited until I found the perfect surgeon for me! I even have a family member booking with him tomorrow! Dr. Courtney is truly a gifted and caring surgeon with a wonderful team backing him from start to finish! You cannot go wrong being “Contoured by Dr. Courtney”!!

I Am 42 and Look and Feel Better Than I Ever Have!

Thanks to Dr. Courtney I have a new body that I love! About twenty years ago I had a few colorectal surgeries that left big, ugly scars. Later, in my 30s, I had three giant babies and nursed them on-demand (wherever, whenever) until each turned 2 and a half. I also gained and lost a lot of weight. By the time I turned 40 I was at a normal BMI and not nursing or pregnant and couldn't hide my body behind a baby carrier anymore. I was working out and eating well but hated how I looked naked and dreaded wearing a bathing suit. My breasts were super long and flat and deflated and pendulous and I had all this loose skin and unmissable scars on my belly. At that time, I had just resolved to live in that body. Then I got into a car accident and developed neck pain which was worse whenever I didn't wear an industrial strength bra. I even had to wear one to sleep and couldn't just lounge around my house braless. I decided to see a surgeon about a breast reduction because I couldn't stand the way my breasts aggravated my neck issues. He was a jerk and made me feel terrible about my body, especially my stomach. He poked at the loose skin that hung over where my colostomy bag used to be and frowned like it was the grossest thing he had ever seen. I left in tears and then called a friend who had had her breasts done. She told me to call the ACPS and raved about her experience. I looked through the bios of all the doctors and read the reviews and then chose Dr. Courtney. I love that the prices are listed on the site. I couldn't be happier with my decision! I ended up getting a tummy tuck and a breast lift because it was so much more affordable than I expected, and I read that strengthening my core would also help with my neck issues. My neck isn't 100% better but it is remarkably improved. I saw my chiropractor today and she felt a notable difference. It still hurts but I don't have to wear an underwire bra to sleep the way I did after the accident. My main goal was to resolve my neck issues, but loving the way I look naked now is another happy result! Dr. Courtney is very meticulous and precise. He takes his time to really listen to what you want and explains everything. I just love the way I look now and can't believe I am looking at the same body I have hated for decades. Even more importantly, I love the way I feel. It really made a difference with regard to the neck issues with which I had been struggling since the accident. Dr. Courtney's post-op care is also top-notch. I have emailed his assistant Evelyn multiple times to check in and let her know something is bothering me or to ask a question and she always answers me right away. I had to call Dr. Courtney's service the Sunday night after surgery because I suddenly developed intense rectal pain and I thought it was related to my surgery but it wasn't. Even still, he was very patient and explained the surgery again to me and what he did, and he didn't seem to mind that I called on a Sunday night. A few days ago at his office a nurse took most of the stitches out and I am healing well. Even though I only made the decision because my neck was bothering me so much, I am thrilled with the aesthetic outcome and the pain relief benefits. I was worried that my sisters and mom would be judgmental and critical because they are not the type of people to condone plastic surgery but when I sent them the before and after pictures to let them know they were floored, and now my oldest sister wants to get work done. My husband's reaction was the best! He stares at me when I get out of the shower and says things like, "I can't believe I am looking at my wife!" He loves my new body and the confidence I have now. Thank you, Dr. Courtney!

My breast is getting bigger, hurting so bad and I'm out of pain medication

During my pre op visit all the size implants i wanted to try on they didn't have. Only 4 sizes were available in office. A girl named Isis told me I could pick 4 sizes & try on day of surgery and pay $250 if I wanted any more sizes so I pick my sizes I want them to order so I can try on the day of surgery and we finish my pre op and she tells me I don't need a covid test, and she will send in my meds with 10 7.5 norcos and I said "10? That's all?" And she says oh that's just for immediate pain relief if you need more all you have to do is call and we will have it sent directly to your pharmacy asap" Then two days prior to surgery the surgical center calls me to get info from me and tells me I need a covid test and when I explained to them my dr said I didn't need one they told me I do and they don't know why he would say that. So I call my dr and can't get a appointment, I call a lot of other places and no one has a opening on such short notice, finally I find a clinic who will do it that day for me for a whopping $300. I'm irritated because I could have went to my pcp and used my insurance had dr Courtney and his team and the correct information. I blow that off and get the test and drive 5 hours to Houston for my surgery which was supposed to start at 6:30am. BUT Dr.Courtney had to stop by Starbucks and spent time hanging out and laughing with a group of nurses so he didn't come speak with me until after 7:30am and he walks in and is ready to start writing on me so he can get me back for surgery immediately and I asked him what about the implants I ordered? He says what are you talking about? I explained to him what Isis said and how I ordered implants to try on day of surgery because they didn't have the sizes I wanted and he says I don't know why she would say that because we've never done anything like that before. (I sent him wish pics and asked him if the size 535cc would give me that and he said yes) 535cc was the biggest he said I could go. So I ask him what size he planned on using then and he said 440 in my left and 470cc in my right and that would give me the big, augmented look I want from my wish pics. So I agree and get ready for surgery. It's important to note two weeks prior to this I was admitted into the ER for kidney stones in my right kidney and infection in my left kidney and was on pain medication for those two weeks and up until surgery so when I spoke with the anesthesiologist told me due to the pain medication he would have to use more anesthesia and fentanyl for my surgery and asked if I had any pain meds left over(oxy) and I told him no but I had (10) 7.5mg norco from Dr.Courtney for after my surgery and he told me I would need something stronger and more of a quantity because I've been on stronger pain meds in the hospital that the norcos wouldn't help my pain so he told me to talk to my dr after my surgery to make sure he sends it in. I have my surgery and wake up in excruciating pain, my left hand had a busted vein and the pain from my augmentation was horrible! I've had multiple surgeries, broken bones and had 3 natural births and the pain I felt in that moment beat all those. A hour after surgery they wake me up, get me dressed and call my husband to pull up to the front to get me all while I'm screaming in pain, they give me pain meds in my iv and take me out to my husband. We drive to our hotel since our house in 5 hours away and I fell asleep for awhile and woke up crying and screaming in pain, I did this for over a hour straight then my husband called my dr and said I was in excruciating pain and the pain meds weren't helping and told him he thinks I needed to take more then one every 4-6 hours and Isis told my husband "She doesn't need more then one 7.5 norco every 4-6 hours. I had two breast augmentations and I didn't take any pain medication, she'll be fine. This is normal." So my husband does his best to take care of me all night long and it was awful so I called my pcp and she told me to take 3-4 of those every 4-6 due to my tolerance and that helped take the edge off but since my body had built up a tolerance it didn't help like it was supposed to. The next day we had to drive home so I called my Dr to tell him I needed him to send in more pain meds to my pharmacy by my house because I would have to take enough to keep me okay while driving home and for the rest of my healing but I couldn't get anyone on the phone. So I started texting the "24 hour medical teams number" and isis texts me back "You mean to tell me you've taken 10 norco within a 24hr period?" I text back saying "No, I still have some left, but like I said I have needed to take multiple at a time and I need more then 10 for a week of healing at least." She texts back telling me that's what they prescribe everyone for their whole time healing so I call the office trying to get in touch with my Dr and FINALLY I do and he tells me that he doesn't like to prescribe pain medication "like that" and he usually only gives painkillers for the first day because his patients are usually healed and going back to work by day 4-5. Now during the year I was shopping around for surgeons I made sure to to find one who prescribed pain medication and wasn't one of those male doctors who would rather make a woman suffer because he didn't feel like she needed it. Only the male drs I had consults with had issues with giving women pain medication while the women drs said they make sure all their patients pain is managed properly especially during the first week. After I have to basically beg and argue with him he sends on 10 more 7.5 norcos and I head home. Two days later my left breast is very hard and is a lot more pain then my left so I wanted to call my dr to make sure that's normal and talk with him about it but instead I call and text for an entire 24 hours with NOTHING. Then I get a text from isis saying to send her a picture and she will let me know if it's normal and I tell her I would send her a picture but I needed my dr to call me but I don't get a reply to that, just a text of her saying it's all normal. I wake up the next day hurting even worse so I call the office 3 times over a hour span and get no answer, then I start texting and get told he's busy with other patients but will call me later. 5:30pm arrives and still nothing so I call the office again and she tells me the dr will get in touch when he can, and yep you guess it no call or text that night. So I wake up the next day call the office again and the same girl "Christian" answers and tells me dr Courtney is in surgery all day but will call in between cases when he can. So I wanted until 4pm and call back and Christian gets very rude with me and tells me "Dr.Courtney is busy with his other patients, I've told you multiple times he will call you when he has time for you but right now he's in surgery and he's not in the office." I'm very agitated at this point because it's been days that I've been in pain, worried about my breasts that I've just had surgery on and now I've ran out of pain meds. The next day it's the same song and dance, cat get in touch with him, isis and Christian are rude to me or just ignore me and don't answer the office phone or the texts I send. I finally around 4:30pm get a call from a nurse named Elsa and I explain to her what's going on and she tells me everything I'm going through is normal and she will send in more pain medication. Im in multiple BA groups on fb and I have talked to many women and made multiple posts and I feel like something isn't right, with my dr telling me I should be healed by this time but my pain keeps getting worse I feel like something is wrong but I can't get him on the phone, and Im starting to get angry but she assures me he will call me when he gets out of surgery so I wait. Around 6:30pm I text again asking if I'm going to get a call from my dr or not and isis texts me back saying he called me but kept getting my voicemail, I send her a screen shot that he never called me and tell her not to worry about it. I'm tired of going through this and I've been trying for 5 days to get in touch with my doctor now. I end up getting a call from him around 8:30pm and he tells me it's all normal, to start massaging them, and I should be fine and to call him back Friday to check in with him. Well today is Friday and guess what? I've called and texted and nothing. No answer. And my breast is getting bigger, hurting so bad and I'm out of pain medication and can't get in touch with him. & I'm upset because I know the size implants HE CHOSE won't get me nowhere near the size i want.
